Episode 1

Zhang Yi is becoming a renowned and respected architect.

When she got pregnant five years ago, Zhang Xin, her husband, who is also an architect but less driven, offered to resign and become a househusband to look after their baby and home.

Five years on, she is seeing her perfect family with a different eye, a less rose-tinted glasses.  This started when they had a family break.  There was a text on her husband’s phone which looked suspicious. (Unfortunately, there was no translation of the message as I am watching this drama in youtube with auto-translate. LOL)

Suddenly she began picking little things that seemed suspicious.

One evening, she felt rather amorous but her husband said he was very tired. Yeah Yeah Yeah

She also noticed that her husband’s circle comprised mainly of women.

One morning she saw a message on her husband’s phone from a woman saying that she was waiting outside.

Zhang Yi went outside and saw a youngish woman.

Zhang Yi was followed immediately by her husband who said that the woman who was waiting was a customer.  He had been selling baby stuff online.  He had been doing it for over a year but had not told her because she might laugh at him and his venture, which he said was doing very well.

Zhang Yi was on a business trip when she facetime her husband.  She saw a pair of legs scuttling behind him.  He quickly said that it was Xiao Xiao’s (daughter) dance teacher.

is he really having an affair?  Who is the woman?

Episode 2

This drama is on the slow side at the moment as it is still building up the initiating forces to lead to a climax.

Anyway, Zhang Yi had learned that her husband is doing so many things, business-wise behind her back.

He has even engaged their young daughter’s services to be a child model for his internet clothing business.

She was so annoyed but her daughter quicky took out a jewelry box from her father’s backpack and gave it to her mother.

Zhang Yi just noticed the pained look on her husband’s face.

Then she was surprised to learn when dining with their friends that Zhang Xin was going into business with them to established a version of the French’s Early Learning Centre.

Zhang Xin thought Zhang Yi was going to go ballistic instead she gave him the deed to their apartment so he can remortgage their house to invest in his new business.

Zhang Xin tried to put her suspicion about him to rest but then she found a receipt for Face Hotel in their car.

She again suspicious because the plush hotel seemed to double up a motel which she witnessed when her team was having dinner at the hotel.

Zhang Yi met a cat lady, Yang Yan, who told her about having been married twice,  The first marriage failed because she became a victim of domestic violence.  Her second marriage is also on the brink of collapse because she found out that her husband is cheating on her.

The cheating resonated with Zhang Yi and before she knew it she was asking Cat Lady to help her spy on Zhang Xin.

The Cat Lady said that her husband was in a restaurant.

Zhang YI went to the place, leaving her sleeping daughter in the car.  She then went to look for her husband but she cannot find him anywhere.

Then she noticed the commotion outside.  People were milling around her car and she heard the cry of her very distressed daughter.

She felt guilty leaving her all alone.  She was about to go but she looked up at the restaurant and saw her husband snogging a woman.

Episode 3

It looks like the other woman is Wen Wen, Xiao Xiao’s kindergarten teacher.

She noticed Wen Wen wearing the necklace from the earring and necklace set she recently saw at a jewelry store.  The earring was the one given to her by her daughter which seemed to bother her husband. Now she knows why?

She asked her husband if he was cheating on her.

Her husband said that he still remembers the night before their wedding.  He followed her and saw her meeting another man.  He had never seen the look of love in her face as she chatted with the guy for three hours while he stood watching them in the snow.

Zhang Yi said that nothing happened between her and the guy, she never met him again once they got married.  Whoa that was a surprise revelation.

Anyway, Zhang Yi had a colleague from the legal department who just came back from America where he specialized in marriage counseling.

She consulted him about her friend but they both know that it was about her.

He advised her to stand still like dust.  Don’t let her husband know that she was aware of his adultery.  And as the daughter was much closer to the father, she had to show that she was better able to provide for Xiao Xiao and as their new house had been remortgage to her husband start-up business, she had to accumulate asset and thus she tried to woe back Mr Lin to their company even if she had to be assigned to Hong Kong temporarily.

This drama is so classy but so slow.  Watchable though.

What a convoluted drama!!!

Zhang Xin was not having an affair with Wen Wen.

He was sleeping with Yang Yan, the woman who befriended Zhang Yi.

Zhang Yi found out about it when her best friend Zhou Jiaqi came to town for bit of moral support.

Zhang Yi decided not to create havoc immediately because she wanted to protect her daughter and get as much as she could from their dwindling conjugal properties.

Yang Yan had a young son, who is lovely and kind.

Zhang Yi befriended him and showed him photos of her happy family, with her husband and very young daughter.  She would often treat the boy and they became like a mother and son.

Yang Yan wanted to form a family with Zhang Xin and provoked him to get a divorce to be with her and her son.  But she knew that Zhang Xin would always stay with his original family so she blackmailed him.

She has documents that proved his wife, Zhang Yi, was complicit in some fraudulent activities.  And to prove it Yang Yan showed  Zhang Xin the document with the signature of Zhang Yi on it.

So in order to save Zhang Yi, Zhang Xin asked Zhang Yi for a divorce.

Right after they had gone to the municipal office to file their divorce paper, Yang Yan was outside waiting smugly for Zhang Xin.  She gave Zhang Yi a really wicked smirk

Yang Yan told Zhang Yi that it was time to meet her son, who was on the tennis court playing.

Yang Yan told her son that she was going to get married and now he can meet her husband to be.

The son took one look at Zhang Xin and he became very upset.  Told Zhang Yi and his mother that they are both liars.  He then ran off,

Yang Yan ran after her son, who told her that he knew the man was married with a young child.  He then berated her for breaking up a happy family and stealing a father from his daughter.

Finally, Yang Yan felt the guilt of what she did because her son left her in despair.  She gave the original document to Zhang Xin and told him that he was free from her.

Wha Zhang Xin did not know was that the document was a fake, a part of a plot by Zhang Yi and her colleagues to smoke out the culprit/spy in their company.

Anyway, Zhang Xin knew it was late to make up with Zhang YI especially when he found out that she had moved house.

Six months later…She was collaborating with Zhou Jiaqi on an exhibition about being a woman, the power, the downfall, the marriage, and the infidelity.

He was left crying when he saw an old video of their family at the seaside.  They were teaching their daughter the meaning of the English word Family.  Zhang Xin said to his daughter that Family means Father And Mother I Love You.

Then Zhang Xin spotted Zhang Yi and she was heavily pregnant…
