Episode 1

The first episode is very watchable.  Chen Zhe Yuan is more impressive in this drama than in Handsome Siblings, I have to admit.

Anyway, the story started with Prince Su being in another battle along the borders of the three kingdoms which are forever waging wars against each other for power and world domination.

It looked like Prince Su had taken more than he could chew at this time as his regiment is overpowered by the bandits.  With a last effort, he ordered his remaining soldiers to retreat.

Though they retreated, the bandits followed them.

Their leader ordered to kill the supersoldier, Ye Jun Qing/Prince Su.

They followed Ye Jun Qing at their peril because once they got to a clearing surrounded by forests and mountains, a rain of arrows killed each and every one of the bandits.

This was a clear win for Prince Su but for some reason, he was being recalled by the Emperor to return to the palace.

In the palace, Mo Xin was looking forward to giving birth to her baby. She was surprised one day to hear that her beloved sister had come to visit.

While the Empress was drinking her daily dose of pregnancy herbal medicine, her sister, Mo Wan, was just in time to see her sister bleeding to death.

The Empress had been poisoned.  Her servants had gone to advise the Emperor of the situation.

With Mo Xin’s last breath, she told Mo Wan to run, leave at once.  But a cloud of light suddenly covered them and then both become unconscious.

When Mo Wan regained consciousness, she was very muddled and confused especially when she saw that she was not her pretty self anymore but looking like her plainer, shorter sister. LOL

She realised what had happened immediately.  They had a body swap and knew that she must leave the palace immediately.

She was running away when she got kidnapped by ninjas who were to kill her as they reached the clifftop.

MoWan as Moxin shouted for help, which happened to be heard by Prince Su.  Moxin recognised the prince who did not know her but intrigued about it.

With his help, Moxin survived a fall from the cliff with Prince Su.

When Moxin woke up the next morning, she was back to being Mowan and did not recognise Prince Su at all who got confused because she seemed to know him the previous night.

Prince Su said that they are both safe so they must part ways but Mowan would not have it and said that he has to take responsibility for her.

Their argument was interrupted by the arrival of more ninjas.

Though Prince Su was badly injured, he managed to overcome the ninjas.

He was out of it though so it was left to Mowan to bring them to safety. Along the way, hiding from soldiers and ninjas, they encountered a kindly old man who gave them haven.

Mowan said that she and her husband were attacked by bandits who had taken a fancy to her.

Prince Su was seriously ill and Mowan begged the old man to get a doctor.

Having no money, Mowan gave the doctor the jade waist seal of the Prince to him.

Meanwhile, in the palace, Moxin was not dead but in a coma.

The Emperor rounded up all the possible culprits and assassins which included his three concubines.  The emperor was very upset that Moxin had miscarried their baby.

Episode 2-3

I watched this drama but the female lead is rather repelling me. She is too full on.  She is strong but there is something about her character that is offputting and contravenes realism too much.

She decided to attach herself to Prince Su whether he liked it or not.

At first, he did not really want to have anything to do with her because she is so nosy.  She goes through his things and even ripped his most beloved painting of the Empress.

So he threw her out but she created so much fuss outside his manor announcing to everyone that he had shagged her and now after getting what he wanted, he doesn’t want anything to do with her.

The prince should have had her beaten to a pulp!  LOL. Told you I don’t like her!

Anyway, it is quite interesting because both the male lead and the second male lead – well especially the second male lead who is the emperor,  are so fanciable.  This alone is worth suffering the annoying girl.
