Just watched this film now. It is available in youtube already subbed in English and it is starring my adorable Zhao Lu Si.

The original Kdrama is more emotive and complicated because it can afford it with 16 episodes.

This movie is more sanitised and less complicated but still able to activate the tear duct profusely, mine anyway.

Jun Xi when he was three years old, but actually looks like 5 or 6, was excited to meet his baby sister so he wandered down into the hospital nursery and accidentally dislodged the name tags of two of the adjacent cribs, of one, is his sister’s.

Jun Xi’s sister, En Xi, is celebrating her thirteenth birthday. They are a happy family, devoted to each other. Everything is perfect in their world until En Xi had an accident that landed her in the hospital.

The blood test showed that she is type AB while her parents are O which meant they are not related.  The accidental swap was immediately sorted with En Xi’s real mother watching her.  Both sides are prepared to go slowly with the swap until they are used to it.

But someone could not wait and of course understandable considering that she was living a hard life.  So Xin Ai confronted her real family which shocked En Xi because she was not aware of the swap at all.

En Xi had always been a kind girl so as soon as possible, she let herself out of the house to go to her real mother.

Her real mother told her to go back because she can’t look after her the way the family she had grown up with could.

Her pseudo mother actually came running after Enxi wanting her to go back.  She said that they will be relocating to the US and they wanted her to go with them.

But Enxi decided to stay with her real mother.

Ten years later…

Enxi had grown into a very capable girl, who is a Jill of all trade for money.  One minute, she is a nurse, then a real estate agent and even a crab opener/cracker for the young and rich.

Enxi attracted the attention of a rich guy, Hai Tai.  He found her irreverent.

It so happened that Jun Xi had come back to China and had been looking for Enxi.

They did find one another and eventually being happy together but people from their past started arriving one by one.

It seems Jun Xi has already a girlfriend.  Then Xin Ai also turned up and was after Hai Tai.

Once again Enxi felt like a surplus but not for long because both men have really fallen for her romantically.

Then, Enxi collapsed and ended up in the hospital.  It was revealed that she waited far too long to get treatment; now only a bone marrow transplant can save her.

It was too late and Enxi who always aspire to be a tree said that she will be like a tree and die. She does not want any treatment.

But still both men wanted to give her a full life in her young life.  Experience everthing. They wanted her to be married and both asked her to marry.

She married Jun Xi while Hai Tai gave her away.

Then Jun Xi is seen walking along a tunnel looking all forlorn, alone… Obviously Enxi had passed away at this point.
