Episode 1

This drama started rather dramatic when the South African airplane that Guan Yu Qing was aboard encountered volcanic debris which went to the engines and therefore it became a matter of life and death situation,

The pilot was incapacitated so thank goodness for Guan Yu Qing who is also a pitot returning back to China after two years of working for South Africa Airline,

Guan Yu Qing was calm and collected and brought the plane to safety.

If that flight was turbulent her home life was more so,  Despite being away for a long period, her father treated her as if she was not even there because he favored his wastrel of a son.

During dinner, the son announced that he has some good news,  He announced that he was going to get married.  But he wanted his parents to give him 100,000 RMB to get his fiancee a branded diamond ring.

His parents told him that they don;t really have the money as they gave their savings to him when he opened a bar which folded. They also gave him their retirement fund for more of his business ventures.

Unfortunately, the son is beloved by the father who told Guan Yu Qing to give her brother the money.

Thank goodness, she is sane because she refused.  She said that her brother chose his bride then he should be the one to fork out for the ring.

The brother left in a huff.

The father used emotional blackmail on Guan Yuqing but for now she was resisting until a estate agent came the following morning to value their house.

Meanwhile, Xu Qi Feng is a genius doctor/surgeon.  He is so busy at work he does not have any social life.

His mother took if upon herself to look for a suitable wife for him.  She went to a park blind date where parents of daughters were looking for a husband for their daughters.

When Qi Feng came home after a busy day at work, he found a wall of a collage of photo of women his mother deemed suitable to date.

Qu Feng told his mother that he would like to choose his own wife.

Episode 2 

Qi Feng and Yu Qing did not have a first impression of each other.  They met in the hospital.

Yu Qing saw a woman hugging Qi Feng.  The woman was crying and begging him not to treat her so badly.

Qi Feng thought he was a scumbag.

He later told her that he did not even know who the girl was.  It was his mother.  She had been romancing the girl on his behalf, using his mobile phone.

Yu Qing believed him after she found out more about him.  He was one very popular, very competent surgeon.

Meanwhile her brother and father were putting her on the spot. They not wanted her to buy a house for the brother so he could get married.  The father was using everything including his weak heart to blackmail her.

She could not wait to get away.  She was flying to Shanghai when she was informed that one of the passengers will be carrying a heart for a transplant.

It was of course Qi Feng but she did not know  that it was him and he did not know that she was the captain of the plane.

There was a particularly annoying passenger who complained a lot.  He complained that they had to wait for the doctor, who was caught in traffic.

Unfortunately, there was a thunderstorm and they had to land in Wuxi.

Qi Feng knew it was too late.  The heart will degrade and the patient would probably be dying.

But to his surprise, when he got out of the plane, there was already a rescue helicopter waiting for him and his assistant ready to take him to the hospital.  It was arranged by the captain.

The transplant was a success.

Episode 3

Poor Yu Qing was so stressed. The problem regarding her family follows her everywhere.  Her elder sister relied on her t pay for her surgery of her sister’s brother-in-law.  Her brother was a leech and so was her father and her mother was nice enough but always sides with the father.

Then she was in trouble because a passenger complained about her.

To unwind from her troubles and worries, she went jogging but suddenly she had the most excruciting pain.

Surprise, suprise Qi Feng was jogging too.  He offered to take her to the hospital but she refused instead he helped her to her hotel room where he looked after her and her stressed-induced stomach pain.

The brother of Yu Qing’s brother-in-law was of operated successfully by Qi Feng.

Episode 4

Qi Feng’s problem with his mother is getting worse.  She is suffocating in her devotion to her son.  She even check on his mobile phone regularly and arrange dates for him.

Yu Qing was commended for her work after the hospital profusely extended their grateful to the airline management.  She later found out that the doctor on board her flight was Qi Feng.

She went to the hospital with a gift for Qi Feng.

He was surprised to find that she was the captain who arranged the rescue helicopter, thus, saved the transpalnt patient.

Dean Gao, from the hospital noticed how hardworking Qi Feng was and how talented.  He took upon himself to act as some sort of surrogate father after he heard that Qi Feng is a product of a single parent family after his parents divorced.

Dean Gao thought that Qi Feng and Yu Qing were already in a relationship but having some problems, so he secretly arranged for them to go on a blind date. They were surprised to see each other but they had to stay an hour together so not to upset Dean Gao.

Qi Feng used the hour to diagnosed Yu Qing’s health.  He said that being a pilot, she would have some spine problem but because she was still young and healthy, she does not feel it yet but it is there.

Despite not really knowing Qi Feng, Yu Qing was beginning to fall for him.  She was so starved of affection that Qi Feng seemed the one who showed unconditional attention.

Episode 9

Qi Feng finally let his mother win.  He agreed to date Lin Jie.

His mother found out pretty quickly that Lin Jie is pretty stubborn. She likes to get her own way.  His mother seemed to have met more than her match.

Meanwhile, Dean Guo asked Yu Qing to have a word with Qi Feng regarding to transferring to a smaller hospital where he could never realised his dream of opening a heart centre.

Qi Feng said he had made up his mind.  He is moving.

I really love this drama.  So many characters you love to love and also hate to hate. LOL

By the way, what is going on with Zheng He Hui Zi. I hardly recognise her, she looks like a different girl.

Episode 10

The battle between the mother and the girlfriend is heating up.  Mother found out that Li JIe is no pushover.

Li Jie is beginning to act more of a wife rather than a casual girlfriend and Mother is find it hard to let go of her most beloved son.

Poor Qi Feng is caught in the middle.  But he was rather jealous of Sun Xiao Bai, Yu Qing’s handsome and young co-pilot,  He seemed to see them everywhere and it was giving him food for thought.

He reevaluated his decision to leave the hospital after finding out that his parents’ divorce was borne out of a long-standing misunderstanding.

Apparently Dean Guo saved and treated a woman who tried to commit suicide.  The woman became obsessised with Dean Guo and tried to separate him from his wife.  The woman put Dean Guo into a compromising situation and then told that she was pregnant.

The headstrong wife did not give the dean a chance to explain. She divorce him bitterly and prevented him from ever seeing their son.

But the Dean continued to only have her in his heart.  He never got married and hopeful that he could be reunited with his wife one day.

As to Yu Qing’s parents.  She overheard her father continuing to pine of his no-good of a son.

You can see a mile off that Chen Zhi Jun will end up having an affair with his new PA, who is a slapper and over familiar. LOL

Episode 11

Dean Guo continues to encourage Yu Qing to go for his son.

When Yu Qing to ask him to visit her father who she suspected has a heart condition as he uses as an excuse every time her father does not get his own way.

When Dean Guo turned up, he had Qi Feng in tow.

It was found that her father has a normal heart condition and blood pressure.

Meanwhile blood pressure is up and rising at Qi Feng’s apartment.

Li Jie and the Mother were having a huge disagreement.  The mother said that she supported Qi Feng and Li Jie’s relationship and found that in a mother of days, Li Jie has changed.

Li Jie told the mother that she was sick.  The mother was so annoyed she told Li Jie to go and leave the apartment key on the table otherwise she will call the police.

On her way out, Li Jie saw Yu Qing and Qing Feng arriving together.

Yu Qing explained that Qing Feng had gone to examine her father.

Anyway, Qing Feng and Li Jie had a talk in the restaurant, where Li Jie said that his mother had turned on her.

When he got back to the apartment his mother had prepared his dinner which he refused to eat.

He went to his bedroom. When he came out fairly late, he found his mother in the living room in almost darkness looking at his photos on her mobile phone.

She said that his auntie had photos of holidays and other things on her mobile but she has only his photos on her phone.

Qing Feng started laughing hysterically.  He said that he will break up with Li Jie.  This always happens.  Every time he gets a girlfriend his mother interferes and breaks them up.

His mother told him that all the girls were not good enough for him.  She had been through a divorce and she does not want him to end like her.

Qing Feng said she will have him all to herself.  He was never going to leave her, he was never going to get married.

He then left the apartment while his mother cried her eyes out saying that she wanted to be a good mother to him.

He slept outside in the garden.

Episode 12

Father Guan ended up in the hospital with heart attack because he got too upset when he went back to his old house and found the new in-laws selling it.

He said he gave the house to his son to live while they move out but the in-laws moved in.

Father Guan said that he was not having it but the in-laws said that the relationship between Shen Lei and Li Bei is over.

Shen Lei begged his in-laws kneeling down.

Father Guan told him to get up but he said without Li Bei, he might as well be dead.

Father Guan said he had always wanted to give the house to Shen Lei so have it.

Father Guan and his wife are now homeless because when Guan Yu Yun brought them to her house, Zhi Jun sneakily took his staff to their house to move in as well.  The staff included the flirty, slutty Xiao Xiao, who terminated the call from Yu Yun to Zhi Jun.

Qing Feng was looking after Father Gu.

Episode 13

This episode shows the initiating forces that would lead to an affair between Zhi Jun and his conniving PA.

Despite finding out that his father had a heart attack, Guan Zhen Lei can’t help but make himself look the hard done by in their family.

The father immediately sided with him.

Episode 14

Zhu Lei was still at it.  Now he brought with him his in-laws to visit his father in the hospital.  Zhu Lei told his done that he has no prospect but he had thought of a could-be lucrative job about online-booking driving.

His father said that sounds like a good idea but asked when would Zhulei get a car.

Zhu Lei immediately said that he could use Yu Qing’s car as she hardly ever used it being on a flight after another.

The father agreed.

Poor Yu Qing was being manipulated to agree.  When she at first declined, Zhu Lei pushed her which was seen by the father but did not scold his son.

Yu Qing felt unwanted and unimportant in her family.  She is just a pure and simple cash cow as far as they were all concerned.

She was so upset she walked in the rain and when she got home, she found that she had left her keys in the hospital.

She was preparing to rest by her apartment door when Qing Feng turned up and insisted on looking after her.

He gave her a set of his pyjamas to wear for the night as her clothes are wet.

The next morning, they were disturbed by the arrival of a very shocked mother of Qing Feng.

She said that she does not approve of Yu Qing because she had been planted by her ex-husband.

They tried to explain things to her but she already had her preconceived ideas.

Episode 21

Auntie Xiu Lan has been creating problem with Yu Qing.  Auntie boldly went to Yu Qing work to interrogate her junior, Xiao Bai, on their nature of their relationship.

Xiao Bai called Father Guan about this embarrassing situation.

Father Guan rightfully went to confront Auntie Xiu Lan, who does not see anything wrong with what she has done.

 

Episode 22

Auntie Xiu Lan was creating havoc in her son’s relationship with Yu Qing.

Zhi Jun got found out that he was doing the dirty on his wife when Yu Yan took her father, mother and Auntie Xiu Lan to the Thai restaurant Zhi Jun said they had invested in.  Yu Yan found out from the owner that he does not know anything about the investment.

They were just walking out of the restaurant which was inside a shopping centre when Father Guan saw Zhi Jun being intimate with a woman who then kissed him.

Yu Yan saw it too and wanted to leave and ignore it but Father Guan was having none of it and confronted Zhi Jun right there in the shop.  Father Guan gave Zhi Jun a smack when Zhi Jun was still denying that it was a misunderstanding.

Zhi Jun ended up in the hospital with a concussion.

After seeing that Zhi Jun was being looked after, he dragged Yu Yan to return home.

The next day, they went to Zhi Jun who has to stay in the hospital for a few days.

Father Guan had a man to man talk with Zhi Jun on how he will proceed with what he has done.  How is he going to make it up to Yu Yan.

Zhi Jun said that he wanted a divorce.

Being married to Yu Yan is party being married to her family.  And this is sucking out the life out of him.  He cannot breathe anymore with them.  His self-esteem has completely gone being a part of their family because no matter how he does well in his job, he was always seen as a lowly province boy.

Xu Nan Nan has a new victim in sight.  She saw the very able doctor, Qing Feng.

Episode 23

Nan Nan set the wheels in motion by going to Auntie Xui Lan’s work place to apply as a volunteer.

Auntie Xui Lan immediately said no as her morality is questionable.

Meanwhile, as a last ditch, Father Guan went to the hospital to begged Zhi Jun to reconsider the divorce.

Zhi Jun said that he had made up his mind and he was not going to change it.  He added that he has no feelings for Yu Yan for a number of years.

Father Guan bowed his head very low in front of Zhi Jun, he cast away all his pride but Zhi Jun was not moved despite hearing Father Guan crying his guts out.

Zhi Jun called Nan Nan to see him at the hospital but she said she was much too busy as she was with her father.

They did meet after he was released from the hospital.  He told her that he will negotiate a divorce with his wife.  He will give Yu Yan their house because of their child but he has a good job so before long he can buy a house for Nan Nan and him.

Nan Nan played innocent and clueless.  She told Zhi Jun that he had misunderstood the nature of their relationship.  She had always saw him only as an older brother, never romantic.

She then quickly left.  He knew he had been had.

Episode 24

Nan Nan did not waste anytime.  She immediately went to Auntie Xui Lan to play the victim.

She told the gullible auntie that she never had an affair with Zhi Jun.  It was all on his side and in fact, she is a victim of sexual harassment at work.

She wanted Auntie to help her lodge a case against Zhi Jun but she does not have any money.

Auntie wanted to know where her money was going to.

Nan Nan had auntie eating out of her hand when she applied her piece d’ resistance.  She brought auntie to her father hospital bedside and played the dutiful, filial daughter that had Auntie crying in pity.

Nan Nan was not finished. She anticipated anything Auntie would want and before you know it she thinks she found her ideal daughter-in-law.

This is very out of character of the Auntie.  She told her son that she was against his relationship with Yu Qing because of her family, especially her brother of draining her of money.  And yet she would allow Nan Nan, whose father needed round the clock medical attention of draining her also of money.  Also Auntie was against any snip of infidelity and yet she wanted her son to marry someone who was rumoured to be have broken a family.

Episode 25

Yi Qing had something wrong with her eyes.  She needed an operation immediately otherwise she will go blind or not be able to fly again.

She was nervous but she wanted to get it over and done with.  Initially, she did not want her family to know but Xiao Bai told them anyway to they were there except her brother who had developed a bromance with his father-in-law.

I think Xiao Bai will end up with Yu Yao.

Anyway, the operation was a success and Qing Feng nursed her back to health afterwards.

Auntie finally told Qing Feng about the perfect girl for him.

Qing Feng said that he had found the girl for him and he was already thinking of marriage with Yi Qing.

Auntie went absolutely ballistic, so hateful that you wanted to be able to reach her and give her a resounding slap.  LOL

Auntie started introducing Nan Nan to neighbours as his son’s girlfriend.  Nan Nan was so happy despite not having officially met Qing Feng.

Yu Qing heard Auntie saying it so she confronted Auntie.

Auntie, however, was aggressive and unreasonable so Yu Qing just left it.

Episode 30

Qing Feng was missing.  He was lost in the desert in a sand storm with one of his patients who he was trying to bring to the city for immediate treatment.

Yu Qing went to see Lan Xiao Xiao to find out about the soup.  She told him that when Qing Feng came to see Xiao Xiao, he found out that she fed her father who was supposed to be nil by mouth pre-surgery.  The soup she gave him was with ginseng that could increase blood flow.  So she killed her father.

Yu Qing told her that Qing Feng realised that but he did not say anything because he did not want her burdened.,  He’d rather lose his job than do that.  He is a very kind stupid man.

Xiao Xiao felt the guilt so she contacted the hospital to take back her complaint.

At the same time, the investigative team found out about the ingredients to the soup and totally cleared Qing Feng of any wrong-doing.,

Meanwhile, the spoilt immature Zhen Lei landed his father in law in the hospital because his nest egg was gone after they invested all the money, including from the sale of the car that Bei Bei had bought Zhen Lei.

Episode 31

Yu Qing flew a small plane to look for him in the desert.  Of course, they found him.  They both returned to China.

Meanwhile Bei Bei had had enough of Zhen Lei get-rich-quick mentality and asked for a divorce.

Zhen Lei said that her sister had finally transferred the house to him so they could just mortgage the house to give to the father in law.

But for now, it is over between them.

Episode 32

Father Gu is the worst father ever.  He can obviously see that useless Shu Lei was out of control and yet he blamed Yu Qing for inciting her brother, completely ignoring the fact that her head is soaking wet and smelt of beer.

Bei Bei doesn’t like to have anything to do with Shu Lei anymore and Shulei was overdramatizing to get everyone’s attention.

He was also unhappy that Yu Qing will register her marriage while he was getting a divorce.  He thought that that was uncalled for.

Episode 33

This is all about nasty Shu Lei and the aftermath of his divorce.  His father could not do enough for him and even warned Yu Qing not to incite her brother, giving credence that everything that is going wrong in her brother’s life was ultimately her fault.  Her mother does not help at all.  Her parasite family was a cross for her to bear.

I  would not mind if the brother kills himself followed by the father who has a heart attack because of grief?  Or why not the brother drives his mother and father and crashes into a cliff.  LOL

Zhi Jun was heading to being jobless as he can’t get the client to sign the contract.  Served him right.  His poor ex-wife had to sell her Hermes bag and diamond necklace so he could give the money to what he thought was his sure-thing girlfriend.  Karma!

Episode 38 & 39

These two episodes are about the cute romance of Dr Guo and Xuilan.  Their trying to get to know one another again.

Dr Guo at first was about to leave as he had returned from the hospital but Qifeng asked him to stay.

He concurred immediately.

His mission was to get back with the love of his life, Xiulan, mother of Qifeng.

He was being helped by Father Guan who enrolled to a senior studies about arts, cooking and dancing.

Xiulan was beginning to thaw with Dr Guo but he mentioned that the woman who was the cause of their misunderstanding was returning from abroad.

Guan Shulei helped a collapsed victim of a hit-and-run. The victim’s family thought that he was the driver and started abusing and being violent towards him.

His mum and dad then turned up and told him to take responsibility.

When he denied it, they told him that he should be ashamed for still trying to lie.

No one believes him.

Episode 40-41

These two episodes is about trying to find redemption.

Father Guan tried to make up with YuQing but she had had enough.

Despite this, Qing Feng could see that she was missing her father.

Qing Feng contacted YuQing’s mother and they had lunch in a restaurant.  The mother told Qing Feng that YuQing misunderstood her father when he chose ShuLei to be saved rather Yu Qing.

The mother said that the father chose Thunder Boa because he was in a more critical state.

But at this time, Father Guan stayed with YuQing and gave her 600cc of his own blood which is very taxing for a 60 years old man.

Well, they YuQing paid very dearly for that blood.  1.5M RBM in her parents’ account, 3K monthly stipend, a house, a car, payment for all the fines for Boa and so much more.

Finally, ShunLei started to grow up.  Qing Feng is instrumental in making Shunlei to mature.  He recommended him to become a paramedic.  When Shunlei was giving up because it was hard work, Qing Feng told him that he can do what he wants but the four days that he worked, he saved 17 lives.

This seemed like a wake-up call for Qing Feng.

He started cherishing his job and the patients he and his colleagues had to attend to.  He even appreciated his father because he saw what age could do to a patient. :). Shunlei became less demanding and became rather thoughtful.

Gao  JiangZhen brought the lady he was allegedly had an affair with 30 years ago to see Xualin.

Everything was cleared and the former ex started dating again. Awww

Episode 42

Qing Feng and YuQing had registered their marriage.

Gao JiangZhen and Xuilin had also registered theirs.

Meanwhile, Shulei got a shock when they receive a call for an ambulance at Li Bei’s apartment.  When he got there, Li Bei in the couch, in pain and heavily pregnant.

The family made him believe that the baby was not his so he went drinking and felt so sorry for himself.

He called his sister YuQing to tell her the good news.

He told her of his sad luck, about Li Bei having a baby with someone else.

Yu Qing told him that his news does not make her happy, in fact it was making her sad.  She gave him an awkward hug.
