Episode 1
Xia Ran Ran was all alone in Great Britain. She was sent to study by her father.
Peng Qin, her stepmother, is controlling her father and basically cut her off from financial support.
When Ran Ran threatened to come home, she was kidnapped and a drug was planted on her. She was conveniently arrested by the MetPolice.
The script let us down here because the MPS (Metropolitan Police Service) would certainly provide an interpreter in person or via telephone.
In this case, Ran Ran was left fumbling to get herself understood by a rather dour policeman.
In desperation, Ran Ran told the police in her limited English that she has a boyfriend in England. She then gave the police his number.
The man who turned up did not know her at all. But it somehow got to him when she said she was all alone.
So he paid her bail money and took her in his house and they became housemates. Before long, he had grown accustomed to her and was preventing her from leaving once her drug case had been cleared and her passport returned to her.
He told her that based on her story about her father and stepmother, Ran Ran cannot exact her revenge without making herself stronger.
So he promised her that he will pay her tuition to go to school.
He also said that she can then take the time to find her mother who was supposed to be in London.
Meanwhile, Su Mo was also in London.
Episode 2
Yes, Su Mo was in London. Apparently, Su Mo fell in love with Shao MIng Zhe who was rich and cultured.
His mother was askance that he would date someone from a lowly background. So the mother told Su Mo to go abroad, to the US, UK or wherever and study. The mother said that she will pay for everything but Su Mo must concentrate with her studies and therefore cannot contact Ming Zhe until SuMo had made something of herself, she can come home after her studies and the mother said that she might consider a relationship between Su Mo and Ming Zhe, only then.
Su Mo had to sign a document. She then dumped Su Mo to go abroad but intended to come back to him.
Peng Qin told Su Mo that he knows where Ming Zhe lived in London.
At first, Su Mo was upset with Peng Qin because the contract was that she must not contact Ming Zhe but her longing for Ming Zhe got the better of her.
Su Mo went to his flat in Overstrand Mansions in Battersea.
She was shocked to find out that Ming Zhe was living with a cute young woman. She saw it with her own eyes how Ming Zhe seemed devoted to the girl as he carried her from the black cab to his flat.
Meanwhile, Ming Zhe and Ran Ran are getting along fine.
He even created a lifesize holographic image of her mother for her.
Someone texted Ran Ran about where her mother was.
She went to meet the guy without telling Ming Zhe. She almost got assaulted by a biker gang, thank goodness MIng Zhe somehow turned up.
Later when they got home Ming Zhe told her off.
Ran Ran said that he does not need to worry about her because she was going back to China. She then left in a huff.
When she got back, she found that there was a fire in their apartment building.
She called Ming Zhe who did not answer as he left his mobile in the flat.
Su Mo was somehow resigned that she can’t get Ming Zhe back so she settle for Peng Qin who quickly tried to put a ring on her finger.
