Guo Qi Lin played Song Yi’s younger brother in Joy of Life so it is a bit intriguing to see them as husband and wife in this drama.
Episode 1
A novelist was told by his publisher/editor to stop writing the Jiang Haochen stories about business because it does not sell anymore. It is time to end Jiang Haochen.
The novelist did not have much choice so he killed off Jiang Haochen after his confrontation with Tang Mingyuan over Jiangyuan Group’s fraudulent activities
But then as the novelist looked at the dying Jiang Haochen, it spoke to him. Jiang Haochen said that was that how he will end Jiang Haochen.
The novelist had another idea and called the publisher.

Ning Yi’s mother in law is so impressed with him, she wanted grandchildren immediately so with her women friends, they came up with a liquid viagra drink that could keep him vigorous all night long.
Su Tan Er became the first female to hold the Su Family seal and she finally made up with her father.

Tan Er now hold the seal which meant er contract marriage with Ning Yi is basically over.
But they don’t want it to be over but they both keeping their thoughts to themselves and therefore, ended in misunderstanding.
Nin Yi left the manor to look for talents for the Jade Garde poetry participation for the Su Cloth.
Tan Er thought the Nin Yi left for good and felt absolutely miserable as well as worried that their Su Cloth contribution to the Jade Garden Poetry night will be a total fail.
But NIng Yi provided a stunning presentation.
Everyone was glad.
NIng Yi told Tan Er that he seemed to have mislaid the divorce paper and can’t bear to write another one. He asked if he could just stay and help her in the shop and look after her?
She kissed him on the cheek which surprised him.

He kissed her back on the cheek and ran away! She was excited!
Episode 9
Manager Xu who had been simmering with discontent as an employee at Su Cloths joined forces with Wu Qimeng and betrayed Tan Er who almost got raped by Wu Qimeng if Ning Yi did not arrive in time.
Ning Yi is turning into the most adorable male lead.

I really love this drama. excellent acting with an interesting story in a well-written script. I love the different personalities of the character.
Guo Qi Lin and Song Yi’s chemistry is adorable.

The palace was cash strapped and had canceled the silk vestments (whatever) they were supposed to order from Wu Cloth through the corrupt Commandant Song.
Because of this, the Wus went bankrupt.
Commandant Song wanted to marry Jin’er by force so Jin’er pretended to jump to her death from the bridge to the deep water below.
But she should have not bothered because someone murdered Commandant Song.

As the Wus were going bankrupt, the Su became the richest family in Jingtian.
Tan’er was happy to see her father tapping her in the head in approval. He had been reading the book that Ning Yi had given him about how to be a good father.
Episode 15
Tan’er’s mom was showing off the huge rings in every one of her fingers while she was playing mahjong with the Jingtian wives.
But the mums were more interested of having become grandmas. They asked Tan’er’s mom when was she going to have grandchildren.
The mom went home immediately and complained to Tan’er that she wanted grandchildren.
Tan’er had wanted to sleep with Ning Yi but he was not asking.
So Tan’er took matters in her own hand or rather her maid’s hand and had Ning Yi’s room ransacked and furniture sawn to pieces.
Unfortunately, Geng, Ning Yi’s assistant was a dab hand in carpentry and housekeeping and everything was placed in its place as if nothing had happened.
So Tan’er’s maid created holes in the roof. Still this did not work.
So finally, Tan’er set Ning Yi’s room on fire and he saw her and he was confused about why she did it.
Anyway, Tan’er’s mother commiserated with Ning Yi for his burnt room and said that he could stay at Tan’er’s room which made her smile so much.
During bedtime, Tan’er asked him to sit next to her in bed.
The nervous Ning Yi conversationally mentioned about the mother leaving Tiger Wine next to the bed which was aphrodisiac as he previously found out,
Tan’er smiled and said it was her who brought in the wine and without further ado, she jumped him and her mother, father, and maid and Geng were all trying to spy on them. So cute.
Ning Yi broached the idea of going on a month-long honeymoon to his honey.
But it was rather tortuous to explain what is a honeymoon. He told her that it was a time where they will always be together.
Tan’er got upset because she thought after the honeymoon Ning Yi will leave her. He had to explain that he will always be with her forever.
Tan’er finally agreed but she would bring Chan, her maid, with her.
Ning Yi said honeymoon is supposed to be just him and Tan’er.
Tan’er refused to go without Chan so Ning Yi finally agreed and then Geng put his oar in and said that he should go as well as he is number one protector of the Su family.
Geng recommended the honeymoon destination which is the Wu Dynasty where merchants travel and with beautiful scenery.
What they did not know was that it was going to be a battlefield as prepared by Prime Minister Qin.
