Episode 1 The Appearance

I’ve just begun watching this drama today and I can say that it started so well.  Hope it continues to grip to the very end.

The serial killer of 20 years ago which had taken Lee Dong Sik’s sister seemed to have resurfaced.

20 years ago, Lee Dong Sik became a suspect which broke his family.

Han Joo Won is an elite police officer.  He was top of his class and also he is the only son of Han Ki Wan, who was expected to become the next Korean National Police Commissioner.

His interest in the serial killing involving Lee Dong Sik was somehow connected to a case he was personally involved with so he asked to be transferred to Manyang Police Station which is really just a sub-station.

Episode 2 Disappearance

Whoa, the ending to this second episode is mind-blowing.

Is Lee Dong Sik the serial killer after all?

Episode 3

Han Joo Won found the basement of Dong Shik house where he saw that it has been scrubbed clean with disinfectant and Clorox.  But he also found a trace of blood on a table.

With this speck of blood, he had Dong Shik arrested without a warrant.

Episode 4

Joo Won’s case immediately fell apart but still the damage is done.  Though Dong Shik had not been proven guilty without reasonable doubt, the people had already judged him as the killer.

When Dong Shik was let out, he was just laughing even for no reason and Joo Won surmised that Dong Shik was enjoying himself with what was going on.

Episode 5 The Deceit

Han Ki Hwan sacrificed his son for his own career.  He held a press conference in which he proclaimed that he will have Han Joo Won properly investigated.

Han Ji Won then get further shock when he found the family house’s passcode had been changed, thereby locking him out.

His father only contacted him when Ji Won trended beating up the bodyguards of Lee Chang Jin who used Kang Jin Mook, the father of the missing Min Jung as a publicity stunt for his housing development.

Episode 6

Oh Ji Hoon tipped off a journalist about Dong Shik, which of course annoyed Dong Shik.

Oh JI Hoon told Dong Shik that he did it because he knew Dong Shik had nothing to do with the disappearance of Min Jung.  He said that he saw Park Jung Je bringing Min Jung home.

But it looks like Kang Jin Mook was the one who hurt his own daughter because at the this episode ended, they were able to turn on the missing phone of Min Jung and the last text she sent was begging her father to let her out.

Episode 7

Jang Minjook was revealed to be the serial killer.

Episode 8

Min Jung was found to have been buried alive so she died of multiple organ failures.

Episode 10

Chief Nam Sang Bae was killed.

Episode 11

Everyone was very upset about the murder of the chief.

Episode 12

It has been revealed who killed Dong Sik’s sister.  At first, it was thought that it was Park Jung Je who later revealed as the boyfriend of his sister.

He was high on drugs and alcohol when he thought he ran over a deer but it was Yu Yuen.

But it turned out that Yu Yuen might already be dead after escaping from Kang Jinmook with her fingers tips chopped.

She was actually run over by Han Gwi Hwan, the father of Han Joo Woo.

Park Jung Je was so traumatised of what happened he ended up in a mental hospital for four years and came out having made to forget everything that happened that night.

Whoa, this drama is so good with many good actors.

Han Ki Huan was elected as Commissioner.

Episode 16

1 May 2021: Finally finished watching this most excellent crime drama.  Totally recommend it.

Jung Cheol Moon was found dying by Han Joo Won.
