Episode 1
Good exciting start. And there are many familiar faces as well.
Anyway, the starting blurb said that the Immortals oversaw the 6 worlds for 30,000 years until the immortal realm imploded.
The demon clan tried to take over but the surviving immortals were able to thwart their efforts.
The last standoff was between an immortal and the demon lord, Ni Lun but Shui Ji came between them which ended the immortal lord and Ni Lun.
The death of the immortal meant that a new leader was appointed and this was Luo Yin Fan.
Fourteen years later…
A beautiful young beggar girl, Chongzi was bullied wherever she goes as she was branded a thief. She became an object of bullying by a gang of boys who would beat her senselessly regularly.
She was left tied up over a pond and no one would help release her despite the many people around.
Her piteous call for help was heard by immortals: Luo Yin Fan and Chu Bu Fu who were enjoying tea by the balcony overlooking the crowded plaza. Luo Yin Fan came to the rescue and released her.
The next day, the bullying and the beating started all over again. This time, it was Chu Bu Fu who rescued her and left an anti-bullying mark on her palm, telling her that she would not be bullied again.
Chongzi asked him if anyone can be immortal. Chu Bu Fu said that as long as one is kind, one can develop immortal bones. He also added that apprentices are currently being recruited and selected at Nanhua Mountain.
The catch was going to the mountain is a perilous trek.
Episode 2
Chong Zi has a strong evil breath which she used to save the rest of the would-be disciples on their journey to the top of Nanhua Mountain.
Unfortunately, her evil breath almost disqualified her from becoming a disciple but then Luo Yi Fan came forward and said that he will only have a single disciple and it would be Chong Zi.
Poor Luo Yi Fan almost regretted making Chong Zi his disciple. She is undisciplined, the opposite of houseproud and illiterate to boot. She was also always hungry and grilled one of his prized possessions, a thousand-year-old koi carp he dotingly tended.
Luo Yi Fan though has long patience.
Episode 3
Chong Zi met Qin Ke who told her what they have been learning as disciples. He also told her that they have been given their own sword to practise on. And he was quite good at it now. So good, he used his sword as a surfer for him and Chong Zi. He brought her to a restricted area where there is a tree with bead fruits.
Before Qin Ke could forbid her not to touch the fruits, she had already plucked one and tasted it. They had an Adam and Eve moment where she tempted him with the fruit but Qin Ke knew better.
Later on, Miaoyuan who has a crush on Qin Ke, was condescending towards Chong Zi. She commented that a thief will always be a thief.
Chong Zi was so furious, she almost let out her evil breath but Muyu turned up. He explained to Chong Zi that there are certain protocols to follow in the heavenly realm.
Anyway, when she got back, Luo Yi Fan was already waiting for her and knew everything that had happened. He was not angry at all and when she surrendered the bead fruit to him, he told her that they were overblowing things, the bead fruit was not that important.
Chong Zi commented to Luo Yi Fan that the other disciples have been given their weapon of choice.
Luo Yi Fan said that there is no need for Chong Zi to learn to cultivate or have her own weapon because she will always be on his side and will protect her. She was never going to leave his side. He treats her like his child.
He told Chong Zi that she could go down the mountain. On her first trip, she was accompanied by Luo Yi Fan. He took her to a fancy restaurant where they ate and drank.
Chong Zi got so drunk she noticed how gorgeous Luo Yi Fan was. But Luo Yi Fan saw a passing figure of Wan Jie.
He told Chong Zi to stay at the restaurant while he gave chase to Wan Jie. But of course, Chong Zi would follow. Wan Jie saw her and was throttling her but then Luo Yi Fan turned up. They had a fight but Wan Jie got away.
When they got back to the heavenly realm, Luo Yi Fan told Chief Lan and Yu Du that he will attend a birthday party that Wan Jie would surely attend.
Chief Lan once again broached the subject of sending Chong Zi away but Luo Yi Fan would not listen. In fact, he said that he will bring Chong Zi with him to the party.
Poor immortal Chu Bu Fu who was tasked by his master to protect the Nihan Sword had gone to the dark side after being beaten up by a demon. Chu Bu Fu is now Wan Jie.
