Episode 1
It has a cute start, full of tropes but then it is really an idol drama.
Esther Yu plays Yu Meiren a fashion blogger. Apparently, Esther provided her own costume. She brought with her more than a hundred designer clothes, being from a rich family. So we will see her dressed immaculately and fashionably.
Anyway, Yu Meiren is not just an ordinary blogger, she is actually quite an expert in her medium, thus, she would often turn down endorsements even from big brands if she thought their products are not suitable for her, ergo, her audience and clients.
Her boss is her good friend President Jin, who is a bit of a womaniser but then uses Meiren to get out of a sticky situation like dumping another girlfriend.
Meiren was sent to a university to do a video in the botany department. She thought a good looking guy inside the conservatory was Lucas, the actor, she was supposed to film with but it turned out it was Professor Zhuang or Zhuang Yu, the man who humiliated her back in college.
Zhuang Yu did not recognise her but was flabbergasted at how flirty and vacuous she was flirting with him.
Then it got worst, shelves of important specimens of plants toppled over.
Meiren was mortified, remembering the time when she was in college with him. He agreed to a date with her. She waited for him most of the afternoon until it started raining. She later saw him in the university canteen eating contentedly with a male classmate who commented that he thought Zhuang had a date.
Zhuang said that he thought about it but he could not be bothered to meet up with Sabina in the end,
Sabina means stupid.
Poor Meiren was absolutely gutted at how cavalier he had treated her so she tried to better herself and became a professor in ornithology but her passion is really blogging.
Now, she was determined to show how much better she was than him so she rented an apartment at the same building as Zhuang was living.
Episode 2
Esther Yu is seesawing between adorable and annoying.
Someone posted a series of photos of the disaster that happened at the conservatory and put all the blame on Meiren.
Netizens accused her of interrupting a class.
President Jin advised Meiren to lie low for a while.
So with nothing to do, she ordered a large amount of takeout which interfered with her stomach. So sent to the chemist to get something for it.
She bought something with ethanol which left her feeling drunk. She staggered to what she thought was her apartment.
She actually left herself in Zhuang’s apartment. They seemed to have the same passcode.
Anyway, Zhuang was flabbergasted but he is a nice guy so he covered Meiren with a blanket when she collapsed into his bed.
The next morning, President Jin called her to tell her that Lami wanted Professor Zhuang to be their endorsor mainly because of his good looks. President Jin tasked Meiren to convince Professor Zhuang.
Meiren agreed but she has a darker purpose. She would make him fall in love with her and then humiliate him.
