Rumours are rampant that Zhao Lu Si and Gong Jun are in talks of starring together in a modern drama which is adapted from a Gu Man novel, Blazing Sunlight.
If this collaboration pushes through, it would start filming next year.

26 August 2021: I spent the whole day today reading an English translation of 40 chapters that make up for Book 1 of Blazing Sunlight.
I must say it is compulsive reading.
And yes, Nie Xie Guang could easily be Zhao Lu Si and I thought Evan Lin would be perfect as Zhuang Xu, and Simon Gong is tailor-made perfect as Lin Yu Sen.
Book 1 ended with Lin Yu Sen dating Nie Xie Guang. He confessed to her that he liked her at first sight.
But this drama does not end there because there is a Book 2 that is still elusively swirling in Gu Man’s brain. But amidst her mental block, some snippets are coming through including Xie Guang and Lin Yu Sen breaking up. 🤣🤣🤣
6 October 2022: There are rumours that Li Xian will be the male lead for this drama with LuSi. Yet to be confirmed as LuSi’s next project is a Xianxia called Shen Yin with the rumoured lead Jing Boran.
4 September 2024: Another rumour. This drama will apparently star Song Wei Long and Zhao Jinmai and will begin filming in November 2024.
22 November 2024: Rumoured to start filming on 2 December 2024 with Song Wei Long and Zhao Jinmai.
