Quick Precis

Shi Dong and Shi Xia are siblings who are devoted to each other.

Episode 1

It started well.  The leads are super cute.

Anyway, the drama begins with a duel between Shi Dong, who looks like a refugee from a Star Ranger production complete with a laser gun, and Hou Chi, who is an immortal.

Hou Chi was winning but Shi Dong, known as the devil lord, dismissed Hou Chi from calling himself an immortal when he had not reached the peak of cultivation despite training from the age of twelve.

Shi Dong further asked Hou Chi, who said that he aimed to protect everyone,  who is this everyone?  Just name one.

Hou Chi started thinking about his and threw back the question to the devil lord.

Shi Dong said that he protect and care for his sister.  His sister who is the cutest, kindest girl, with cheeks so soft and squizzey.

Hou Chi started thinking about a sister.  His preoccupation was taken advantage of by Shi Dong who stabbed Hou Chi in the chest.

This did not hurt Hou Chi though.

Meanwhile in the mortal world, Shi Xia was nervously waiting for her turn to deliver her speech which would determine her scholarship.

She was about to go on the stage, in front of the judges, when her phone rang.  It was from someone who wanted 2000RMB as a ransom for her brother.

Shi Xia went as far as going for the microphone but she cannot just ignore the message about her brother so she said her excuse and ran out.

She went to a game centre where her brother works as a bartender.  She found her called and against better judgment, she paid the ransom.

She was then told that her brother was in the amusement park which was about to close so she hurried to get there.

She thought she saw him in one of the pods of the Ferris’ Wheel.  She called at him but he can’t hear so she moved back and called again.  Still, he did not look down, so she moved until she stepped into a puddle which turned into a very deep pool.

When she surfaced, it was in the pond of the well guarded under cultivation by the Yuhua Sect.  In front of her was a very handsome man who she disturbed meditating.

She thought she gatecrashed a historical costume drama and he was so flabbergasted by her appearance he did not know what to do with her especially when she fainted.

When she woke up, she found herself locked in a tower.

The man, Hou Chi brought her down because he was curious about her.

He deduced by how she looked that she was a woman.

She thought she was dreaming this time but finally came to terms that it was not a dream as she feels pain.

He asked her about herself.

She introduced herself readily and when she mentioned that she was a sister, that was all she had to say to get his full attention.

He remembered what the demon lord said about a sister.  Hou Chi thought that perhaps if he gains a sister it would help him reached the peak of cultivation

So he tested Shi Xia if she could be a sister.  He pinched her cheeks, he squeezed them, and then fed her.  He thought he too could have a sister so he invited her to stay with him and he will protect her.

Episode 2

Awww I love this drama.  It is so super cute.

Hou Chi is taking being a brother to Shi Xia really seriously.

He might need a sister but she was feeling something else for him

But they do get on.

When it was time to sleep, he turned off her candlelight by a sleight of his hand but then she would light it again because she can’t sleep in the dark.

Hou Chi came into her bedroom and she started getting excited telling him to leave her bedroom but he told her that he wanted to be just like her brother.  He had come to tell her a bedtime story.

So she started listening.  It began really well but she was not impressed with the ending;  So he told her another one and still the same ending, then another story and she finished the ending for him reciting that the master sent the monster into his yard and he killed it

Finally he allowed her to sleep.

He doesn’t seem to need to sleep or eat.  Anyway, while she was catching on the zzzzzzzz, he was outside making a doll for her

He then woke her up with it.  When she saw it she promptly threw it on the floor because it was ugly.  She told him to just leave her alone, she wanted to have more sleep.

They were interrupted by the arrival of the Master, the owner of the Yuhua Mountain.

Hou Chi did not have to tell Shi Xia to hide, she knew she had to.

The Master spoke to Hou Chi, who thought that he had been found out about keeping a woman in his villa.  But he quickly found out that the Master was concerned that Hou Chi was defeated in a duel by the devil lord, who had been spouting about it in the mortal realm.

Hou Chi told the Master that he was distracted but he could take on the devil lord easily.

The Master used his energy to repair Hou Chi’s heart.

When the master was gone, Hou Chi went to see Shi Xia who was having a nightmare.

She was dreaming of being left in the amusement park while her brother runoff.

She told Hou Chi that her brother was loving but there were times that he was rather horrid, addicted to gaming, and spend all their money on it, then he would use her to go begging from their relatives for more money.

Hou Chi asked her what would she like to do that she had not down with her brother

Shi Xia said she had always wanted to ride a Ferris wheel.

Without much ado, Hou Chi took her flying.  She thought being hugged by him was too intimate so she told him to let her go.

She would have fallen if he did not catch herl

Awww so sweet.

I love these leads.

Episode 3

Shi Xia wanted to go home so she wanted to learn the cultivation of virtual space and to do that she needed to go to school.

At first Hou Chi would not allow her to leave his sight but his senior, Bi Hong, who found out that he was secretly keeping a girl in his villa for the purpose of having a sister, told him that to make the girl wants to be his sister, he had to indulge her a bit. Allow her to do what she wanted.

So he helped her pretend to be a boy and enrol at the academy

Episode 4

Hou Chi now found being alone in his villa was kinda boring so he became a teacher at the academy

Hou Chi was well respected and adored by the student especially by the alpha male of the class, Yi Yaogua.

Yi Yaogua noticed that Hou Chi was rather partial to Shi Xia. He became jealous and caused Shi Xia to be almost crushed to death.

Episode 5

Hou Chi and Shi Xia came to a better understanding.  They made a contract written and sealed in their palms.

The contract was that Shi Xia will become his sister so he could progress to the peak of cultivation in return he will get her back home to see her real brother.

Shi Xia also added extra conditions like no hugging and kissing which Hou Chi did not understand at all.

Episode 6

Yi Yaogua saw Shi Xia kissing Hou Chi when she accidentally fell on top of Hou Chi.

Yi Yaogua misinterpreted this as the degeneration of Hou Chi by the young boy, Shi Xia.  He can’t forgive this as Hou Chi is the idol of immortals.

So while the Masters were putting Hou Chi’s level of cultivation to the test, Yi Yaogua dragged Shi Xia to the Lake of Truth to find out her real relationship with Hou Chi.

Yaogua saw that the lake was not responding every time he forced Shi Xia to dip her hand on the lake as he asked her a question.

But he was not satisfied.  In the end, Shi Xia was rescued by Hou Chi.

Episode 7

Yaogua started showing the cotton candy simulation kissing of Shi Xia and Hou Chi.  He was shocked that a boy had bewitched the Junion Master.

Then the Yahua Sect leader intervened and later found out that Shixia is a girl which is prohibited to exist in Yahua Sect.  Then to cap it all, she was really the younger sister of the demon lord.

Poor Houchi took the punishment for Shixia.

Episode 8

Hou chi was whipped with a lightning rod pretty badly and yet he would not surrender the packet of crisps given to him by Shixia.

Shixia was kidnapped by the devil lord.

Episode 9

Shixia found out that the devil lord was her brother ShiDong.

Hou Chi found out about the kidnapping.  He went down to the demon realm with Yaogua to challenge the demon lord as well as rescue Shixia.

Shixia was a bit disturbed when she heard Shi Dong wanting to become the leader of the Immortal Alliance.

The Demon Lord lives in a flying saucer which really like a door knob, but like Dr Who’s Tardis, it is very spacious inside.
