Episode 1

Momose Shu is a 30-year-old man who was desperate to get married.  He was proposing to a girl once at lunchtime in a very unromantic family restaurant when the girl chucked a glass of water over his face rather than agree to marry him.

Akiha was a witness to this incident.

On that same day, she went to meet up clients for dinner and one of the clients was the guy she saw who proposed to a girl at lunchtime.

He was really desperate to get married because the others men on the table could not wait to match up Shu to Akiha.

Shu asked her if she was single.

Instead of confirming she was single, she told him point-blank that she does not want to marry him which elicited laughter from the others on their table.  They told her that she was jumping the gun a little bit.

But Shu did ask her to marry him.

In her embarrassment, she went to the toilet to collect herself.

As she was leaving the ladies’ she saw Shu waiting for her.  He said that he meant what he said.

Akiha was insulted so she emptied a vase of water over him.

When they returned to their table the other guys were curious why Shu was soaked.  They surmised that he was a sweater.  LOL

Anyway, Akiha suddenly got a call telling her that her beloved grandma had been taken to the hospital.

Shu insisted on accompanying her.

When they got there, her grandma seemed to be cheerful.

The doctor called Akiha in leaving Shu with her grandma.

The doctor told Akiha that her grandma had a very serious heart problem.  Stress could exacerbate her heart condition.

With this warning, Akiha later did not deny what Shu had been telling her grandma that they were dating and planning to get married.

In fact, Shu added that he has got a marriage registration form with him.

Grandma excitedly told Akiha that she wanted to watch her filling up the form.  And her one wish was to see the 27-year-old in a wedding dress.

With not much choice, she completed the form but once they were outside, she asked Shu to give her back the form.

Shu explained to her that he really wanted to marry and their status quo need not change.  He said that they will be married only by paper, it will be fake.

Still, she refused to abide by his wish.

But they meant to get married as circumstances seemed to dictate it.  Grandma’s illness was not only the reason but she learned that grandma’s restaurant will go bankrupt if 7Million yen is not plowed into it.

With only 2M in savings and with her nomadic, free-living parents, it was up to Akiha to foot the bill.  Bankruptcy was no option as it would stress grandma.

So she agreed to marry Shu.

Living with Shu was stressful.  He wanted everything his way.  He finally told her the reason why he wanted to be married.

He said that because he was in love with someone, that someone is his sister-in-law.  He wanted the cover of marriage to be able to continue loving his sister-in-law in secret.
