Episode 1
Son Wan Ki was blown up in a car after he lit a lighter bearing a chimera symbol he mysteriously found in his car while he was waiting for the train track barrier to move.
During the investigation, Captain Han quickly pocketed the burnt lighter.
Cha Jae Hwan, police for the Violent Crime division just saw him do it.
A young but experienced profiler from the US who was now working for CSI got interested with the case.
Son Wan Ki was later found to have been the reporter present during the Chimera 1984.
Episode 2
Another man found the same kind of lighter in his car and when he lit his cigarette with it. His car exploded.
Jae Hwan suspected that the culprit was a prominent doctor brought up in the UK. He was Lee Joong Yeop/Jerome.

I am loving the chemistry of the two male leads. They are more watchable that the other two female leads with the men.
is the missing female physicist the mother of Detective Cha.
Detective Cha is beginning to trust Joong Yeop who told him that he will help him with the Chimera investigation so he could prove that his father was innocent and did not commit suicide.
Whoa! Detective Cha’s mother seemed to be developing early dementia.
Episode 9
Apparently, his mother has a brain condition she got from an accident many years ago. This condition is triggered by something that is traumatic. Like the death of Detective Han Joo Seok.
His mother went to the university where she used to work as a chemist.
The episode ended with Detective Cha rescuing Hathaway from a kidnapper who was pretending as a firefighter. He was Kang Sang Gu.
Episode 10
Kang Sang Gu was apprehended and when questioned, he insisted that he was Chimera.
The police were rather skeptical. They think he was a copycat.
Because the real Chimera was the missing chemist who was Detective Cha’s mother

Exciting.
I was beginning to doubt that Lee Joong Yeop was a former member of the SAS but then he got kidnapped when he was about to go on a dinner date with Eugene Hattaway.
Suddenly he was able to fight off the men of Lee Hwa Jeong and there were many of them after Lee Joong Yeop refused to go back to the UK.

Lee Jeong Yeop was taken by prosecutors.
Episode 13
The bromance in this episode is so heartwarming. Detective Han pointed a gun against Lee Jeong Yeop.
`Jeong Yeop thought he was going to die but found the gun to be empty of bullet.
Episode 14
The chimera attacked again and the victim was Bae Seung Gwan, the Police Chief of Seoul Jungsan Police Station.
The new chimera is revealed as the news reporter Kim Hyo Kyung.
However, Detective Han’s mother was arrested for it and was interviewed by Eugene Hattaway.
Episode 15
Detective Han found out about the arrest of his mother from Eugune Hattaway.
He found the CCTV of the car park and saw someone who tampered with Bae Seung Gwan’s card.
Episode 16
There are so many revelations in this episode.
It was Kim Hyo Kyung who was the chimera. She got a confession from the Chairman that he was the one who killed her father. But the statute of limitation had passed.
As she did kill a few already, Kim Hyo Kyung jumped to her death.
It was Im Pil Song who was the one who shot Jeong Yeop and Detective Han got him as he promised Kim Hyo Kyung that he would.
The chairman was jailed but during the trial, he was released for lack of evidence.
There was a proxy revenge chimera. It was the adopted father of Kim Hyo Kyung. He sent congratulatory flowers to the chairman which blew up, killing the chairman.
Eugene went back to the states and wrote a book.
Jeong Yeop went back to Newcastle in UK but he said that he thinks he will meet Detective Cha again one day and they would then go for a drink.
As to Detective Cha, his mother had completely lost her memory but she thinks that Detective Cha is Director/Chairman Seo. She thought she was a young girl and pregnant with the Chairman’s baby.
So Detective Chan now knew who was his real father.
This drama had been so good. One of the best Kdrama thrillers we have ever watched. It has everything, including having a heart.
