Episode 1

OMG, there are just so many good dramas lately.  I can’t pass this though because it has Bai Baihe as a lead.  Just love her.

Anyway, Baihe plays Shen Huixing who is super talented and apparently super intelligent who graduated with a degree in finance from a prestigious university.  But she gave up a chance to climb the corporate ladder of success to become a stay-at-home mum to her daughter.

She is super organised and a rock chick to boot.

She is married to Sheng Jiangchuan who is a success at work but then again he is so workaholic he often does not have time for the family.

It fell to Shen Huixing’s shoulder to arrange their move to their new apartment; they are moving up into the world.  She was helped by her father who has a son three years older than Shen Huixing’s daughter.

A drunk Jiangchuan came home but did not know which apartment building he was going to or where they now lived at.  But then, later on, he drunkenly told Huixing that everything that they have got was all due to him.

Dong Sijia works in a very high pressured job.  She was told that they would be recruiting another member of staff to work with her which means she will have a competition.  This thought alone is driving her to drink.  When no one was looking, she would drink from a hip flask she has secreted in her handbag.

Episode 2

Jiangchuan wanted to make their spare room into his man cave as a games room but Huixing had already allotted the room as her music room.

Jiangchuan used different tactics to get what he wanted so he enrolled their daughter in a Lego course and told Huixing that when their daughter is more adept at Lego construction, they could build a big Lego in the games room.

This did not work so one night while Huixing was playing the piano, Jiangchuan went into the bathroom to report her, report the racket she was making.  He pretended that he lived in the apartment below and that he was 80 years old.🤣🤣🤣

Huixing felt guilty and said that she will not play the piano again in the apartment.

But then she received a delivery of a game for Jiangchuan.  She then saw the notice posted by the apartment manager to be more careful of their neighbours and not to make too much noise.

She was telling herself that the apartment wall had paper-thin walls.

Someone heard her and told her that was not the case.  They have a couple of foreigners in the building who threw parties all the time and there were no complaints or problems.  She was also told that there was no 80-year-old guy living in the building.

When Jiangchuan arrived home, he was happy to see that his games had arrived but when he went to the music room, he immediately noticed that the power points had been taken off the wall.

Huixing told him that she had to do it to make the room really had to be child-friendly.

They are hilarious these two.

Jiangchuan showed Huixing an invitation for him and a family member to attend a weekend forum by the Venture Capitalist.  He wanted to take her with him.

Meanwhile, Sijia is married to a househusband who is a psychology graduate but opted to be the one to look after their kid at home.

Sijia also got an invitation to the weekend forum.  Her husband was a little upset because he saw the invitation but Sijia never mentioned wanting to take him with her.

It was the weekend away, poor Huixing was hugely disappointed.  The wives are given different activities, like wine tasting, lunching, etc.  She wanted to attend the forum so she sneaked into the auditorium.

Episode 3

The weekend away did not go as planned.  Instead of a forum, Huixing has to visit a chili farm and she was not having that.

Unfortunately, the forum was well subscribed and well attended. Huixing had to move from seat to seat until she got noticed and was given a microphone to give her opinion.

She did very well but then they asked which company she worked for.  It was that time that Jiangchuan returned to the forum after answering a phone call.

He apologised and dragged Huixing out.

This issue escalated so Huixing drove home leaving Jiangchuan stranded.

As soon as Huixing got home, she turned on the computer and started looking for a job.

Getting a job is a whole new ballgame after having been away from the workforce for a few years.

Episode 4

Huixing got an interview with Huo Lian Kai as an intern but he was a misogynist.  He believed that she should stay at home and look after her growing kid.

This was overheard by Sijia who decided to hire Huixing for her team.

As she now got a job, she had to arrange childcare for Tangtang.  It was harder than she thought.

Then it was also hard to convince her husband to be happy for her to work, in the end, she told him that she gets to decide for herself.

But she went overboard when she removed the PowerPoint in their spare room and was dismissive of her husband’s need to work from home sometimes.

Episode 5

Husband and wife are having a one-to-one competition. Unfortunately, their daughter gets caught in the middle
