Episode 1
This drama is fast-paced and has lots of violence.
Lee Ho Chul is a firefighter who got called in a block of flats when an old man collapsed.
After seeing to the man, Lee Ho Chul got curious of something in the background. He knew that there was something strange going on in one of the flats.
He went to investigate. He was crouching, listening in when at the door when it opened and he was slashed in his right eye and stabbed in the back. He saw a dead woman bleeding and dead sitting on a chair.
Ho Chul is married to a policewoman, Choi Jung Hye, who told him that he should have not been doing an investigation as it was her job.
Ho Chul and his wife live in a posh apartment at Paris Villa City. They live with their daughter, Soo A who has some secret of her own.
She takes art lessons from a handsome and very personable Kwon Shi Woo, who I think is the serial killer (still to be confirmed).
Soo A is also involved with a security guard, Kim Dong Joo, in the apartment. He was rather touchy-feely with Soo A.
Soo A became friends with him because he stopped her from being bullied at school.
Soo A was Dong Joo when her father saw them. Her father grabbed his daughter away which made Soo A annoyed and embarrassed.
She told her father that they were friends.
Ho Chul was shocked because Dong Joo is at least 10 years older than his teen daughter.
His daughter has also a friend at school who secretly put a mobile phone in her rucksack when she refused to take the phone as couple phones.
Ho Chul and SooA were going up the lift to their apartment when they noticed a commotion.
Ho Chul told his daughter to go up directly to their apartment while he went to see what was the matter.
He heard that the Rich Girl Killer had come to Paris Villa City and killed a young girl whose image he painted against the opposite wall using her blood. He had cut off her hand.
It was Soo A birthday. Ho Chul told her that he will walk her to the station but then told her to wait as he had forgotten something. He said he will only be a minute.
When he returned, Soo A was gone. She was not answering her phone.
He went to the station to search for her. He bumped into a man who put Soo A’s phone in his pocket.
SooA’s phone rang and told Ho Chul to go to the car park. He saw his daughter unconscious on the back of a car that was driving away. He followed the car. He then got another call.
Ho Chul told the caller that if he was the Rich Girl Killer then he promised not to tell anyone what he saw because he did not really see his face anyone.
The caller told him that was too back because he has only 24 hours to get the Rich Girl Killer or his daughter dies.
Episode 2
I must say the second episode is very disappointing.
The script was so unkind to the male lead. It made Ho Chul useless, brainless, self-centered and all negative adjectives to describe his character.
He started looking for his daughter and his first suspect was his daughter’s security guard friend.
But it turned out that he was not guilty because he had a sad back story of losing his sister who was the same age as Soo A so he had transferred his protectiveness to her.
The security guard was logical with a good grasp of the layout of the Paris Villa City which he thinks was were Soo A was being kept.
They searched the hidden parts of the building until the security guard said that he will proceed to the engine room while Ho Chul was answering a phone call.
The security guard then called Ho Chul to say that he found SooA. You would think that Ho Chul would call the police for forensic but he did not.
When he got to the engine room, he found the security guard on a headlock with the Suit Man, Bae Tae Jin., Ho Chul just stood there not doing anything. When the two started fighting, Ho Chul continued to do nothing. Why not call the police?
Sadly the security guard died and Ho Chul had to beg Tae Jin to not hurt him or his daughter. He promised to be Tae Jin’s bitch from then on.
