Episode 1
Even at a young age, Hu Jiao was already a feisty girl with expertise in meat cleavers. She is a butcher’s daughter.
She was showing her prowess with the knife when a young boy her age came to their shop asking for her.
When the boy was told that the ferocious girl was Hu Jiao, he declared warmly that he was her husband.
Hu Jiao and her brother and sister-in-law were all shocked.
But then their father turned up and saw the boy. The boy was Xu Qing Jia who was the son of the father’s best friend who had passed away so Qu Xing Jia had come to live with them.
The boy was intelligent so he was sent to study.
Seven years later, Qingjia had returned as a bangyan (scholar) and had come to fulfil his promise to marry Hu Jiao
Hu Jiao had grown up into an annoying woman who can butcher any man. And she threatened to slaughter Qingjia if he does not get out of her face.
She told him that he had neglected her family who had become a laughingstock because Qingjian had not contacted them since he left.
Her father turned up and couldn’t be more welcoming to Qingjia.
Seeing that his daughter was not really a match for the scholar Qingjia, he told him that they should just forget the betrothal and not go ahead with the wedding.
Qingjia was insistent and proposed to take Hu Jia with him when he starts his new post.
Episode 2
Qingjia overheard Hu Jiao telling her sister in low that she won’t be marrying Qingjia because she was in love with someone else.
Her sister-in-law asked wo she loves, she told him that she likes Niu of the Yinfeng Escort Bureau.
Qingjia followed Hu Jiao to the Yinfeng Escot Bureau where she met up with Niu and the other escort who congratulated her for her coming marriage.
She told Niu that she was not marrying Qingjia and before she could tell him why, a rather cute buxom girl came runniing to an excited Niu.
Apparently they are newly married.
Qingjia saw everything and felt rather sorry for Hu Jiao.
Seriously he is way too good for her.
He told her that he had to get married. He no longer has a choice in the matter.
Episode 3
Qingjia told Hu Jiao that they had to get married to avoid marrying the Prime Minister’s daughter. He told her that the Prime Minister had especially approached him about it.
They were drinking alcohol while discussing the marriage so Hu Jiao agreed provided that they got to divorce in three years.
They got married. Hu Jiao is the most ridiculous-looking bride, which was such a shame because Tong Meng was ridiculously gorgeous as Qingjia.
