Episode 1
Jin Rong Rong was crushing on a singer at a bar that she went to every night just to see him.
The guy was Gu Cong Bei who had to help her home one night when she was drunk and was being accosted by a man.
In her drunkeness, Rong Rong confessed that she went to the bar to see Gu Cong Bei and not that he was in her face on her bed then she will have some fun.
The next morning, Gu Cong Bei woked up naked and Rong Rong kindly told him that she will take responsibility for what happened except for marriage.
Gu Cong Bei told her that there was no need.
She then told him that she will drive him home but she was momentarily shocked when he said that he was going to school.
Did she sleep with a schoolboy? LOL
This drama is rather cute despite being littered with trope. The leads have so much chemistry and I am loving Rong Rong.
Episode 2
Rong Rong is 28 and was really bothered that she slept with someone still at school. Her assistant, Qiu Bi, assured her that it was legal. Cong Bei is at his last year in uni.
Qiu Bi added that it was consensual as he did not see Cong Bei complaining in the morning.
Anyway, Rong Rong’s worry was replaced by a meeting with her father who told her that she had to get married as soon as possible as he was leaving the company to the one who weds first. He added that she must marry into the Gu who has three sons.
Rong Rong was told that 80% of the company will go to her if she marries before her brother, Xi Chen.
Rong Rong met the two older Gu brothers but she found them sadly lacking.
The third Gu, the youngest brother turned up and who happened to be Gu Cong Bei.
Episode 3
Rong Rong asked Gu Cong Bei to marry her. She told him that even if they ended up divorce he will be set for life.
Gu Cong Bei gave her three reasons why he would not marry her. First, he was not ready to get married, second, he does not plan to get a divorce once he gets married, and third, he said that she does not have to take responsibility for him because he knew exactly what happened that night.
Still Cong Bei was intrigued with Rong Rong and asked his schoolmate, Liang Jing Jing who was an intern at Jinchao group what she knows about Rong Rong.
Jing Jing said that Rong Rong was said to be a good businesswoman. Jing Jing was not really sure because she was just an intern and not au fait with the high-ups in the company. But she heard that Rong Rong was rather weird. She cannot tolerate a temperature lower than 25 degrees.
Cong Bei had not seen the last of Rong Rong.
Rong Rong went to his school and proposed to him which embarrassed him a lot.
Episode 4
BTW, this mini-drama is compiled into a 3hours, 57minutes, and 19 seconds on Youtube. So it is more convenient to watch it this way.
Anyway, Cong Bei continued to refuse Rong Rong’s proposal but when she got into trouble with the security guard of the university, Cong Bei did not hesitate to help her out.
Again he refused her but then she told him that she had her reasons to get married only to him. She confessed that she fell in love with him at first sight in the bar.
Cong Bei looked at her and walked away telling her that he has a class to attend.
Rong Rong was waiting for Qiu Bi with the car to take her home when Cong Bei returned with a pair of slippers for her aching feet. He then took her hands and said that he will marry her.
Episode 5
Rong Rong wanted them to register their marriage the next day but Cong Bei said that he can’t as he was not of legal age yet. In a week he will.
Rong Rong was again so shocked. To confirm how young he was, she went to his bedroom while he was sleeping and search for his ID. As she can’t find it in his rucksack, she climb his bed and started to grope him as he might have hidden his ID in his pocket.
This woke Cong Bei and asked her what she was doing.
What she did not know was that her father had been stalking them and thought their relationship was a real love match.
Episode 6
They waited until Cong Bei had turned 22.
Cong Bei was as excited as Rong Rong was for their forthcoming nuptual.
It was the day of the day and they were like two teen-agers but then there was an emergency at work so Rong Rong had to leave.
Cong Bei was just about to give her a diamond ring but she said that it was better if they don’t tell anyone yet that they married. Cong Bei quickly hid the ring box from Rong Rong.
At work, Xi Chen wanted to discuss a project with Rong Rong but she dismissed him telling him that everything is under control. That the company was hers.
Cong Bei waited patiently for Rong Rong at home but she was really late. But she made up for it with a birthday cake for Cong Bei.
Rong Rong made him make a wish before it turned midnight but he opted of kissing her instead. So cute.
Episode 6
This little drama is so addictive. No nasty characters, so far.
Cong Bei was very disappointed that Rong Rong wanted them to sign a contract about how they would tackle their marriage which included how often to have intimate relations.🤣. He was upset when it also included divorce and settlement.
Meanwhile, Xi Chen was ignoring his assistant who was inciting him about his position in the company and that of Rong Rong.
Rong Rong found out that her father had asked Qui Bi to take her photos with Cong Bei every day. She went to see her father who told her that there was an additional condition to the inheritance contract. Rong Rong must produce a bouncy baby in the next year. He added that Xichen might marry and have a baby soon.
Rong Rong said that she will have the baby.
She found Cong Bei busy in his computer when she got home.
Episode 7 – 9
Rong Rong created my instances to seduce Cong Bei so they could make a baby but so far it was not working.
She felt guilty for thinking dirty thoughts about her husband who was studying hard.
Cong Bei was upset when he found out that Rong Rong only married him for his services; to have a baby with him.
Rong Rong got jealous of the easy and close friendship between Cong Bei and Jiang Ling Ling. She then found out that it was because Ling Ling is Cong Bei’s cousin.
Ling-Ling is an heiress.
Meanwhile, Ling Ling gets so nervous when around Xichen that all kinds of mishaps befall him when they are in the same vicinity.
Cong Bei had been hacking Rong Rong’s computer.
Episode 10
Xichen told Rong Rong that Gu Cong Bei had been going through her computer.
At first Rong Rong ignored Xichen she told him that though she was grateful to Xichen for rescuing her fice years ago, JC Group is her company.
Xichen told her that for the sake of the company, she should check the CCTV.
And sure enough, she found the incriminating evidence of what Cong Bei had done.
Cong Bei gave the documents about the New City Development Plan project to his oldest brother in return for the land of his mother.
Rong Rong gave Cong Bei a chance to confess what he had done but he did not.
This time Rong Rong gave tested him to represent him during the bidding for the new project.
She learned later that the Gu Brothers won the bidding.
She was upset that Cong Bei really let her down.
Episode 11
Xichen was blaming Rong Rong for trusting Cong Bei about the bid but Rong Rong called out Xichen for his arrogance.
She showed him the survey on the New City Development which has been found to be prone to subsidence.
So losing the bid was a blessing.
Xichen understood that Rong Rong is a savvy businesswoman.
But still, Rong Rong was really upset with Cong Bei and showed him so.
Cong Bei tried to apologise but Rong Rong for once ignored him. Still, he explained that he wanted his stepbrothers to get the business so that they would get into debt and Cong Bei will be able to buy the shares from his mother’s company.
With this explanation, it occurred to Rong Rong that Cong Bei had purposely got to know her.
He said that it was love at first sight.
Rong Rong dismissed it saying that they were not 17 years old.
Cong Bei got upset because Rong Rong said that she had fallen in love at first sight with him so he married her.
Anyway, Rong Rong left him at the coffee shop and when he got back home, a divorce paper was waiting for him.
They got into an argument but later that night Rong Rong knocked on his door and told him that she wanted to stay in his bedroom that night.
Episode 12
It was because the A/C broke and she can’t have a temperature lower than 26 Degrees.
Unfortunately, the a/c in Cong Bei was also broken so Rong Rong was having a panic attack.
Cong Bei calmed her down and held her during the night.
The next morning, Cong Bei told Rong Rong that he wanted to be married to her forever.
Rong Rong was excited but pretended that she would think about it.
Cong Bei called Qiu Bi to ask about Rong Rong’s temperature phobia.
Qiu Bi said that Rong Rong got locked in an ice-cream van and almost froze to death.
Episode 13
The romance between Xi Chen and Liang Jing Jing is so cute. She was a walking disaster around him but she is so kind. Love her.
Meanwhile, Rong Rong is flirting up a storm with Cong Bei and he was flirting back.
Episode 14
Aww, the orange had been peeled.
Rong Rong was happy.
Cong Bei was trying to find the best place to place the diamond ring for Rong Rong. He saw her photo again with ice cream and he started having a memory of when he was attacked five years ago.
Episode 15 – 17
Rong Rong was so happy that she has got a wedding ring and Cong Bei was wearing one as well.
Rong Rong’s father tells her to have a baby son soon. But she told him why not make one with her stepmother.
Her father said that it would be her brother. Rong Rong realised that the boy will inherit everything so she told her father that she will have that baby soon.
The story is getting darker though as what happened five years ago was beginning to come out.
Xi Chen was a student teacher and Cong Bei was one of his students in design. He was rather prejudiced towards Cong Bei because he thought Cong Bei was acting too entitled from being born with a silver spoon.
The back story between Rong Rong and Xi Chen was that they were classmates. Xi Chen was in love with Rong Rong but his mother sabotaged whatever change might have had with Rong Rong by marrying Rong Rong’s father himself.
Xi Chen’s surname is also Jin but of no biological relation to Rong Rong.
Anyway, Xi Chen was stressed because he did try to do good for JC Group but his effort is dismissed by either Rong Rong or her father.
Anyway, he was involved in what happened five years ago as intimated by his assistant.
Cong Bei started to realise that he had known Rong Rong previously and he was in fact the person who took Rong Rong’s photo eating ice cream that she had on her bedside table.
Unfortunately, Xi Chen had another photo of her with Cong Bei and it looks like he was stalking her. Xi Chen made it sound like Cong Bei was the one who kidnapped Rong Rong and locked her in the ice cream van.
So when Cong Bei showed her the photo, Rong Rong suspected that Xi Chen was right.
Poor Cong Bei could not understand why Rong Rong was cold to him suddenly and wanted to be left alone.
Anyway, he followed her on her way to her company. He saved her from a cyclist and gave her a scarf and a pair of gloves which he permanently carried on his backpack for emergencies like this one.
Finally, all Rong Rong’s doubts about Cong Bei disappeared and she was now willing to talk about what happened five years ago.
Episode 18
Cong Bei was asked by his stepbrothers to meet them. Cong Bei had a meltdown after being shown a photo of him seeming to be closing the ice cream van where Rong Rong was found.
The Gu brothers told Cong Bei that they had more evidence in-store and they would be giving them to Cong Bei after he had transferred back the shares Cong Bei had been buying.
Rong Rong was worried about Cong Bei who had not returned home. She went looking for him by the bridge and sure enough, he was there wandering aimlessly in the pouring rain.
Cong Bei showed the photo to Rong Rong and told her that he can’t remember anything.
Rong Rong told him to not believe anyone. She added that she knows everything that happened five years ago.
Episode 19 – 20
Aww happy ending.
It turned out that Xi Chen with his assistant planned the whole thing.
Rong Rong saw a kitten going inside an ice cream van so she followed it to save it but she was locked in by Xi Chen’s assistant.
Apparently, Xi Chen did this so he could save her and Rong Rong would be grateful and accept him into her family.
But then Cong Bei turned up and almost sabotaged the plan. So Xi Chen hit Cong Bei’s head with a wood that had a nail on it.
The nail caused Cong Bei to lose his memory.
Xi Chen confessed what had happened to Rong Rong and told her that he will be surrendering to the police.
Rong Rong and Cong Bei are getting on so well and love each other deeply. So deeply, Rong Rong finally bought a fridge freezer for their apartment.
An easter egg in the end: even at 17, Cong Bei had declared that he would marry Rong Rong in five years’ time.
Love it. The leads are adorable and Xi Chen and Jing Jing are so cute as well.
