Episode 1

Wow!

The story is quirky and macabre. I love it.

Gye Hoon is a very popular and accomplished chef but lately, he had become emotional.  He cries at a drop of a hat and laughs when there is really nothing to laugh about. It had become rather embarrassing.

He was thinking why now.  It had been 18 years since he cries so much when his twin timid sister just vanished from the face of the Earth.

His parents still think that GyeYoung was alive somewhere but Gye Hoon thinks that she had died because he can no longer sense her presence in his heart.  They shared a very strong bond.

He was having one of his attacks of dread when he saw a girl, Noh Dahyun who seemed oddly familiar.

Dahyun was debt-ridden and hiding it from her mother who thought she is settled in a good job after college.

Instead, she is only a part-time waitress where Gye Hoon worked as a chef.

Gye Hoon was having a break with some canape and a glass of wine on the rooftop when he found Dahyun who seemed so interested in what he had on his plate.

He let her sample the hors d’oeuvre which she loved and even had his wine with them.

He asked if he could…

Thinking that he wanted her telephone number, she was ready to give it to him but he said he did not need it.

Later on, Gye Hoon received a bag of cakes and a gift of a scarf.  She was really surprised why the chef would give her a scarf, which she thought looked used.

As soon as she left the restaurant, Dahyun saw Gye Hoon and returned the bags of cake and scarf.

Gye Hoon said that he did give her the cake because she seemed to like his food but he did not gift her the scarf.

Gye Hoon threw the cakes and the scarf but someone retrieved the scarf.

Dahyun started receiving random gifts every day.  Then she felt that she was being followed home at night.

She thought that it was the chef who was a pervert stalker.

She collected all the gifts she received and dumped them in the rubbish bin.

Her mother found out that debt notice and that she had not finished college.  Her mother forced her to return to their village.

It so happened that Gye Hoon wanted to open a new restaurant, a bistronomy in his old village which happened to be Dahyun’s village as well.

When Dahyun saw him, she immediately told the neighbourhood that Gye Hoon was a perverted stalker.

The women were shocked at first but they saw how handsome Gye Hoon was so they started swooning over him especially when he was using a mallet to break a wall.

Dahyun found out who was her real stalker when she heard gossips that she was dating Lee Jin Geun who was also working at the restaurant.

Lee Jin Geun absolutely believed that he was dating Dahyun because she always smiles at him.  He followed her in the village and tried to punish her when she would not give him the time of day.

He was attacking her at her mother’s restaurant but her mother and grandma did not hear the commotion downstairs as they were watching a comedy upstairs.

Anyway, Lee Jin Geun pushed her too hard across a table which made her lose consciousness but when she came to, she Jin Geun dead from a head wound.

Dahyun went to the police to turn herself in but as it was a Friday, it was a busy night so she can’t be seen immediately.  It scared her when she saw some rowdy men being put into handcuffs so she told the policewoman that she would come back another day when it was less busy.

When she got home, she found her mother and grandma looking at the body of Lee Jin Geun.

Her mother and grandma took control and told her not to do anything.

Her mother and grandma worked so methodically that Dahyun thought that it looked like they have done the same thing before.

Anyway, they put the body into the huge fridge and wheel it outside while her mother was getting the truck.

Meanwhile, Gye Hoon and Chef Cha saw the fridge and mistook it for their restaurant fridge which was mistakenly gotten rid of by their restaurant builders.  So they pushed the fridge into their restaurant.
