We watched this last night on Netflix. It was actually quite a good movie.
So many familiar faces of Chinese actors. Lu Han looked so young.
I really like the movie, the cinematography is brilliant as can be expected from a Zhang Yi Mou film. This epic fantasy was apparently filmed in its entirety in China
Anyway, William Garin and Pero Tovar are both mercenaries. They had been in search of the source of gunpowder. They met a creature so fierce but they managed to kill it. Along their travels they ended up by a great wall where they were captured and quizzed by Chinese soldiers on how they managed to kill the ferocious creature.
