Episode 1
This drama looks interesting however, for me, it was let down by the haphazard English sub. Most of the time, it does not make sense.
Anyway, what I can gather was that Ye Xin, even if she was still very young outrank everyone in the county court when she came to visit. This was because Ye Xin is from the Supreme Court.
Anyway she was visiting and evaluating Fang Yuan’s court. At first, she found the prosecutors rather suspect, when they misled a client with superstitious beliefs. The guys then later had a hard time explaining things to her.
The case that was gripping the nation was about a boy who stabbed several men and killed one. The reason why the case became complex was that the men he stabbed were usurers. And when the mother of the boy can’t pay, they told her that she can start paying in kind by selling herself. They were going to rape his mother in front of him, so what can he do?
But the usurers have their own families who wanted the boy to be given the strongest punishment and rot in jail.
