Episode 1
Wow! What a dramatic start.
Peng Lai is the lead singer of a female rock band called Wild Flowers. She was rocking it during a well-attended concert.
In a true rockstar fashion, Peng Lai disconnected her electric guitar and smacked it against the head of a smirking Chen Yue.
Thank goodness Chen Yue did not die but just suffered a concussion.
Bai Ze Qi, Peng Lai’s husband was the reason for the strong emotion.
Peng Lai found out that Bai Ze Qi had secretly divorced her and promptly married Chen Yue, Peng Lai’s bandmate best friend.
Peng Lai and Bai Ze Qi have a daughter who stayed with Bai Ze Qi while Peng Lai went to America. For twelve years, she was doing racket any which way she can.
Then she heard from her childhood best friend, Cui that Bai Ze Qi had died of a heart attack so she had to go back to China to look after her daughter.
The first time she met her daughter was when Bai Tian poured water all over her and the man next to her in bed.
Bai Tian went mental and shooed her mother’s groupies out of the house.
Bai Tian wanted her mother gone as well but Peng Lai was feisty. She told her daughter that if she hit her mother again, she would kill her.
Their relationship deteriorated in such a way that Bai Tian had asked a locksmith to change the door lock.
Peng Lai just laughed having seen it all. She superglued the lock which meant Bai Tian can’t get out and had to change the lock again.
Bai Tian tried to drive her mother out of the house by playing loud music but Peng Lai just laugh about it and critiqued the bass player from the recording.
It upset Bai Tian because she had been unanimously fired from her school band because they think she was no good.
Peng Lai later heard her playing the bass guitar. Peng Lai was dismissive of Bai Tian’s efforts. She told the girl that she inherited her father’s mediocre talent.
She then played the guitar and Bai Tian had to agree that her mother is brilliant.
Peng Lai’s popularity as the lead of Wild Flowers had not died down in China. So during her first concert, many attended.
Peng Lai went on the stage after downing a bottle of Jack Daniel. Before she could start her performance, she fainted in front of her rock fans.
Episode 2
It turned out that Bai Tian put sleeping pills on her mother’s Jack Daniel.
The two continued to fight like cat and mouse and would often end up in the police station.
Episode 3 – 12
Very interesting drama. Yao Chen is hypnotic. She is so cool but there were just too many misunderstandings between mother and daughter that it became tedious after episode 9.
Then what kind of ending was that?!!! Will Peng Lai fully recover from her surgery due to a brain tumour? Will there be a side effect of amnesia or dementia?
