Episode 1
I’ve heard so much positive things about this drama so I am going to give it a go.
This first episode is really intriguing. It has many past histories already.
Anyway, Shen Yi is a painter who teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts. He is very popular with his students as well as with the police or rather with Chief Zhang who consults him often regarding facial composite. His drawings are so useful they help police catch the suspects.
Shen Yi has very keen eyesight he could do forensics by just looking and observing a person.
Chief Zhang contacted him one day informing him that his transfer had been approved and he will be joining Beijiang Interpol Station.
When he turned up at the station, everyone was curious but not Du Cheng who went absolutely mental.
Du Cheng got more emotional when he learned that his former mentor’s office had been designated as the forensics area where Shen Yi will be working.
The hatred Du Cheng for Shen Yi was because he blames him for the death of his mentor. Lei Yi Fei.
The back story was that someone asked Shen Yi to draw an adult photo of someone from a photo of a boy.
His drawing caused the undercover, Lei Yi Fei to be exposed and killed.
When Shen Yi was questioned later about the person who asked him to draw the picture, Shen Yi somehow had a mental block. He just couldn’t remember.
I remember it was someone wearing really high heels.
Yeah, this drama is good.
Episode 2
Their case is about the murder of a plastic surgeon. They found out that the surgeon had only one look for his clients who he took videos. Two of the 56 clients’ videos were missing.
But they found a CCTV of a client leaving the clinic furtively. The client was wearing a mask but Du Cheng asked Shen Yi if he could do a photofit of the client because if he can’t then he might as well leave the force for being useless.
During the meeting, Shen Yi was not there so Du Cheng was gleeful.
But then they found the two missing clients. One was confined in a mental hospital and too loopy to be the culprit and the other one was the exact replica of the drawing submitted by Shen Yi.
But looking at the girl who came to the station to be interviewed, Shen Yi said that she was not the murderer.
Du Cheng was beginning to trust Shen Yi.
Episode 3
Shen Yi was able to identify the real culprit because of the nail polish. He noticed that one of Jiang Ge’s nails is lighter than the rest of her nails. He correctly surmised that she hid the potassium nitrate pill under her nail secretly to poison her blackmailer.
Their next case is a skull donated to a university for art students by a medical hospital. It turned out that the skull does not have a registration number embedded in the skull making it a missing person.
From Shen Yi’s drawing, they found out that the skull belongs to a missing 15 year old girl, Ren Xiao Xuan,
Du Cheng can’t help but be impressed with Shen Yi because his drawing is faster and more accurate than a computer app.
