This drama had its booting ceremony and had started filming.
Apparently, it is not a BL (Boy’s Love) drama but an original script about a locksmith and jewelry appraiser who joined forces to investigate crimes.
This might not be a boy’s love but I am seriously loving these boys already.
Episode 1
He Chufeng and Robin run an antique shop called Monster Vintage. Robin is an expert jewelry appraiser while Chufeng is equally brilliant as a locksmith.
One day, Chu Feng was commissioned to change the lock of a popular idol’s apartment door. The idol was rather dismissive of the traditional lock that Chufeng was recommending rather than the modern two door lock with a password.
Chufeng told her that no one can compromise his locks. He then showed her that he can unlock her password-coded door in seconds.
She was impressed. But then the next day, she called him to say that somebody was able to open her door.
They agreed to meet outside. Robin tagged along with Chufeng. He started taking photos of Chufeng but a trainee lawyer who is a stan of the idol went berserk when she thought the idol was being accosted. Both Chufeng and Robin ended down on the ground.
All four went back to the idol’s apartment where Chufeng confirmed that the lock had not been tampered with. The idol would not have it, she said that someone else had been inside her apartment. But she did not want the police involved.
Episode 2
Chufeng told the idol to stay in a hotel for the moment.
Chufeng and Robin went back to the idol’s apartment and surprised the intruder. Apparently, he had been hiding her bed all this time and would come out from under the bed when the idol was not in the apartment. He would then treat her apartment as his own, sleep on her bed, watch tv and even tidy up.
Anyway, the police arrested the man and the poor idol got a good telling from her manager for creating so much fuss.
Sui Yi went home but realised that she had misplaced her keys. Chufeng found out about it and without being asked he went to her apartment building and found her slumped outside her door rather depressed. Within seconds, he managed to open her door.
She paid him but she was surprised at the look on his face. He left but within minutes, he was back again because of something about the ease of opening her door was disconcerting him. He feels that it has similarities with the idol’s case. So he searched her apartment which was not plush and she was rather untidy with her clothes everywhere. Then he saw the artwork on her wall. She told him that the apartment was fully furnished when she rented it.
He then noticed a very sophisticated live-streaming camera. This was too much for Sui Yi, she cried realising that someone or many had been watching her every move in her leaving room where she sometimes strips off her clothes as one does when one lives alone.
Episode 3
The police arrested her landlord, who admitted that he once search her apartment but noted that she was even poorer than her. But he does not know anything about a camera. It turned out that he was only an agent acting for the real owner.
Sui Yi can’t leave at her apartment anymore so Chufeng went with her to a hotel where he checked everything for cameras to reassure her.
This drama is a must-watch for its tips about home/hotel/new place security. There are plenty of tips to be had.
Anyway, Sui Yi can’t really stay permanently in a hotel so she immediately searched for a new place to stay.
It so happened that a room was available at Monster Vintage so she moved in.
