Episode 1

Whoa, Kim Jung Hyun is back.  Yey!!!❤️❤️❤️

It started with a backstory of Do Jin Wu and Han Gye Jeol during the Joseon period.  They were lovers and Do Jin Wu even gave Han Gye Jeol a ring as a token of his true love and intention.

But in the end, their love was thwarted when Han Gye Jeol was forced to marry a noble and to add insult to injury, Do Jin Wu worked for him and was expected to escort the wedding party to his master’s mansion.

Han Gye Jeol was heartbroken that she and Do Jin Wu can’t do anything because if they do, both sides of their families will be executed.

Han Gye Jeol returned the ring back to Do Jin Wu.

But they loved one another so Do Jin Wu said that during the long parade to the mansion, they would run away.

The main guard noticed Do JIn Wu looking at Han Gye Jeol, so they took Do Jin Wu and executed him.  Han Gye Jeol saw the hopelessness of it all so she went ahead with the wedding.  She pretended that she was willing to consummate the wedding but she took her hairpin and used it to stab her new husband in the neck.  She then stabbed herself in the neck as well.

Fast forward 2023…

Han Gye Jeol is a medical doctor but is treated almost like a pariah because she graduated from a third-rate school.  In fact, it was not even a third-rate because no one have heard of the school/hospital she came from.

She was then forced out of her job because of a horrible relative of a client complained about her.  She told her boss that they knew she did everything right and then she showed the bruises she got from the abuse of the patient’s daughter.

Her boss just told her to leave quietly because she does not want to make enemies otherwise she will become unemployable.

But she did get a job in another hospital where Do Jin Wu is a doctorl

Episode 2

Han Gye Jeol’s brother is investigating Do Jin Wu’s case.

Han Gye Jeol became more of a pariah at work because it came out that she was testifying against the hospital.
