Episode 1
It is a cute start. Loving the leads. They have got a lot of chemistry.
Anyway, it started with a party which turned into a bloodbath when a mysterious wolf man came barging in and killing everyone it comes across by dismembering them.
The creature/man has three deep scars on his right cheek.
Meanwhile, Su Jiu Er was woken up by someone running on the rooftop. She was so annoyed as she is a constable and should really be investigating but then the footstep overhead stopped so she went back to sleep.
The next morning, the Investigation Bureau was agog with news that four of their constables were dead. These constables were at the party. Two bodies were still unaccounted.
Commander Han came to the Bureau about the murders and tasked the bumbling Hu Ba Dao and Su Jiu Er to interrogate the assailant from the Qi Tribe.
The man from Qi was Han Zheng who was all chained up.
During the investigation, Ba Dai and Jie Er were hopeless. They did not know what to ask or how to conduct a question of the suspect.
But they showed Han Zheng their evidence. Han Zheng became curious and managed to free himself from the chain and get away.
Han Zheng was also investigating who the real wolfman was. He had an idea that it could be his childhood friend Muyu who had disappeared 10 years ago.
Commander Han was furious with how the interrogation ended. He told Ba Dao and Su Jiu Er that they have two choices. Catch their prisoner or resign.
Su Jiu Er was prepared to resign but then she realised that her mother as a medicine woman was not earning enough for both of them.
So Jiu Er devised a way to catch the man from Qi again.
She actually managed it because despite having a very weak constitution as she suffers from coldness since she was a child, she is actually quite clever.
Unfortunately for her, she suddenly had an attack of the coldness. She fell against a free standing shelves which fell into some lit candles and started a fire.
Han Zheng was shocked and managed to free himself from his chains. He was leaving but turned back to rescue So Jiu Er who noticed his warm hands and felt comforted by it.
Episode 2
The owner of Flower and Willow Hall that got burnt down wanted 100 Tael of gold for compensation and Jiu Er must pay for it after she confessed that it was her fault. Is she can’t be then she will languish in prison for 10 years.
It so happened that a bounty had been placed on Han Zheng’s head. It was 100 tael of gold. So Jiu Er. made it a mission to catch him for the reward.
Han Zheng was in Jiuxiu City to find Muyun who disappeared with the Holy Fire.
Without the Holy Fire, Qi is facing the Big Freeze which will kill them all. The king of Qi was trying to arrange a meeting with Qian in order for the Qi tribe to migrate to Qian as per the treaty of long ago.
Episode 3
Jiu Er and Ba Dao caught Han Zheng again but as well always he got away Jiu Er noticed that when she was with him, especially skin-to-skin, she was most comfortable.
Han Zheng half throttled her but she told him that she wanted to work with him but he was not interested… at first
But then he realised that for a weakling, she has a quick mind and good deductive power.
The Inspection Bureau was on the alert. Three Scarface attacked Jiu Er who would have fallen to the ground if Han Zheng did not save her in time but this meant that Han Zheng missed his chance to catch Scarface.
Later on, Jiu Er approached Hanzheng and asked him to be friends and work together.
The rather dismissive Hanzheng was disarmed when he heard she wanted to be friends; a Qian being friends with a Qi is almost unheard of.
