Episode 1

Interesting drama.  It is strange that it is broadcasted without much fanfare, plus all episodes of 20 were released all at once.

Has this something to do with the male lead, Huang Jun Jie, and his scandal?

Whatever it maybe, I can recommend this drama despite seeing only the first episode.

The cast is gorgeous, young and enthusiastic, very likable, and watchable.

Anyway, Chun Tumi is a much-loved daughter who was shocked to find out that her beloved father had been arrested for the attempted rape of a widow.

Tumi does not believe a word of it.  Tumi visited her father in prison and got the gist of the story.  Apparently, he was chasing a thief.  He then ended up wandering into a widely open gate where he saw a women hanging clothes.  When the woman saw him, she fell into his arms while someone knocked him over, the next thing he knew was waking up in prison.

When she recounted this later, her stepmother was curious what was the thief took from her father that he had go chasing far and low.  Tumi confessed that it was a hairpin, for her, for her birthday.

Her stepmother, who is jealous of her and barely tolerated her blamed her for what happened to her father.

Anyway, Tumi had to find a lawyer for her father.  She went to the best litigator in town, who is Scholar Sun who grudgingly accepted the case.

But Scholar Sun did not turn up at the first trial so it was left for Tumi to defend her father.

Unfortunately, Han Wu Wei, who Tumi had offended previously and Kang Zheng Yuan were in town for inspection and were very interested in her father’s case.

Han Wu Wei offered to investigate the case.

In Tumi’s side were a quiet carriage driver, Ye Cha, and his sidekick, Jin Yi.

Episode 2

Though Han Wu Wei was irritating Tumi initially, he actually helped her to question the widow’s accomplice.  They were pretty pleased with how the case turned out but it was adjourned.

Meanwhile, at home, her stepmother had her mother visiting. She was trying to make Tumi feel alienated by saying that when she marries, she is no longer a part of the family and when her father dies, she cannot be allowed to grieve for him at his grave without their permission.

There was a very exciting fight scene between Han Wu Wei and Ye Cha.

Wu Wei found Ye Cha trying to steal something at the magistrate office.
