Episode 1

Blurb:

Ten years ago, Li Xiangyi’s sword was the fastest one in the whole wide world.  Li Xiangyi was only 15 years old when he defeated the demon of the Blood Realm which got him recognised as the best martial artist worldwide.

Not long after, he established the Sigu Sect when he was barely 17.  By 20 he was the head of the martial art world.  He was assiduous in implementing rules and tradition which finally ended the chaotic order and in-fightings. He was a legend.

Be that as it may, many also aspire to defeat him including Di Feisheng of the Jinyuan Alliance affiliated to the cult of the devil.

Di Feisheng was so determined to best Li Xiangyi that he even killed Shan Gudao who is Li Xiangyi’s senior.

This was Li Xiangyi’s bottom line.  So he went to fight it off with Di Feisheng who had been looking forward to meeting Li Xiangyi in a battle to the death fight.  And there in Di Feisheng’s ship, they dueled.

Though Li Xiangyi was a better swordsman, Di Feisheng realised that he can be defeated. He told Li Xiangyi that he cannot be the best and perfect swordsman ever because he thinks like a hero rather than a swordsman.

They fought for a long time and then both fell to the bottom of the sea.

The Sigu Sect managed to defeat the Jinyuan Alliance but without Li Xiangyi, the Sigu Sect was disbanded and the one few remaining was the Baichuan Sect.

Ten years later…

Li Xiangyi reappeared in the Jiazhou village as Li Lian Hua.  He is creating his own legend as a doctor who can bring the dead back to life.

At the Baichuan Academy, a test was being held to pick the five top students.  The best was a masked student.  He declined to remove his mask but one of the masters, Shi Shui, took it off for him.

The masters were not happy that he was back again.  The student was Fang Duo Bing who complained that he had been training for three years at the academy but the masters would always disqualify him.

The reason was that Duo Bing is the young master and only descendant of Tianji Manor and his father was Minister Fang who sent a letter to Baichuan Academy warning that if Fang Duo Bing was to train at the academy, the minister and Lady He will make sure to wreck the academy and build a pigsty in its place.

But then, wily Duo Bing showed the Baichuan masters that he has the dagger with the signature of the supreme leader of Sigu Sect.  Duo Bing said that he is a direct disciple of Li Xiangyi

This forced the Baichuan masters to accept Duo Bing as one of their own.

Meanwhile, it came to the Baichuan masters that demons of Jinyuan Alliance had started to show up at Jiazhou and this needed to be investigated.

Fang Duo Bing volunteered to do the task.  Almost the first person he met was Dr Li who was being harassed by the Hall of Wind and Flames sect.

Duo Bing came to the rescue of Dr Li who saw his waist token from the Baichuan Sect.  Duo Bing was very confident and told the men to leave Dr Li because it was hearsay only to be able to bring a dead man to life.  Duo Bing showed them his prowess in martial art.

So the Hall of Wind and Flames left.

Duo Bing befriended Dr Li.

Dr Li drugged Duo Bing later on while they were drinking.  Just before Duo Bing slept, Dr Li told him that as an investigator Duo Bing was really next to useless.  Plus the fact, who brings a maid and a manservant to an investigation?

When Duo Bing woke up, Dr Li was long gone. Duo Bing put Dr Li as the first one on his most wanted list.

Duo Bing and his posse went to Jiazhou City to find the Lingshan Sect.

They heard that the High Priest of Lingshan Sect had just turned into a golden boy and a replacement was being sought from ordinary folks.

The prophesied criteria was for someone who is 16 years old immortal boy who was born in the southwest of the city in early April and he has a lotus mole on the sole of his right foot.

It so happened that Duo Bing’s manservant fitted the prophecy to a ‘T’.

Episode 2

I am loving the synergy between Dr Li and Fang Duo Bing.  I am loving this drama.  The mystery element is not too mysterious but really earthy.

Anyway, the two were able to solve the case of the High Priest.  It turned out that the boy he wanted to inherit his position was his own six-year-old son.  In essence, this was impossible as he should have been celibate and not be having illegitimate children, so he plotted.  One of the disciples found out about his intention and promised to help him.

The plan was the high priest will ‘die’ using cultivation but with the help of the disciple, he will be resurrected after three days.

But the disciple reneged on their agreement because he has also a secret son who was the manservant of Fang Duo Bing.  Ergo, this is why the manservant fitted the criteria of the golden boy replacement which has been rewritten by the disciple.

It turned out that the disciple belonged to the demon clan of the Jinyuan Alliance.  This plot came out after it was revealed by Dr Li.

The disciple was arrested and incarcerated ready to be shifted to Baichuan Sect.

Dr Li went to see the disciple to find out what happened 10 years ago to the body of Shan Gudao.  The disciple recognised him as Li Xiangyi after he saw the three marks on Dr Li’s earlobe.

The disciple not only refused to say anything about Shan Gudao but also laughed at Li Xiangyi having turned into the cowardly Dr Li because he had lost his power of cultivation as a martial artist.

The disciple was able to unchain himself and would have strangled Dr Li but Duo Bing showed up and stabbed the disciple.

Later on, instead of going to a celebratory dinner with the Lingshan Sect, Duo Bing turned up at Lotus Tower and invited himself to dinner with Dr Li.  He said that Dr Li is his first friend.

He told him that he actually really run away from home and from an arranged marriage.  He does not want to settle to a life of politics.  He wanted to explore the world like his master Li Xiangyi.

Dr Li was surprised especially when he found out that Duo Bing is a nephew of Shan Gudao.

Loving this drama.  The cinematography was so good, it is like watching a film.  I just hope this is not ultimately a romance drama.  Bromance between the three male leads is what I was hoping for.

Episode 3

Fang Duo Bing recounted that he met Li Xiangyi when he was a little boy.  He was so sickly so his mother wrapped him in cotton wool but his mother’s young brother, Shan Gudao, secretly trained Duo Bing.  But Shan Gudao was a very hard taskmaster but Li Xiangyi suddenly appeared and gave Fang Duo Bing a wooden dagger to practise on.

Duo Bing became determined to get better so he willingly took every medicine given to him including the bitterest without any complaint.

Li Xangyi smiled remembering the little both he once met.  He could not believe he had grown so much.  He did not let on that he was Li Xangyi.

When Duo Bing woke up the next morning, the tower was gone with Dr Li.  He could not fathom how it could just have vanished.

It was a tower on wheels, a caravan.  Poor Li Xangyi was having one of his attacks from the lingering poison inside his body.

He remembered how it happened 10 years ago.

Bhante Wuliao, monk of Pudu Temple saved him. All of Li Xangyi was broken and the poison from jade tea had already spread all over his body.  It was only his strong mental fortitude that save him.  The monk told Li Xangyi that he was living on borrowed time.  He has ten years to live before the poison overcome him completely.

Duo Bing and his two servants concluded that Piao Erhuang was killed by the assistant of Di Fei Sheng, who they think was Dr Li as he fits the description.

They looked for Dr Li who they found at the Xiaomin Inn eating watermelon.

It was the ghost festival that really turned ghostly.  Poor Wang Gu was killed with his throat cut.  It got more puzzling when the spoilt sister-in-law of the Castellan of Yu was found dead in a sealed escort box.

The wife of the Castellan who was really the power source of the Yu City had everyone who was at the Xiaomin Inn arrested.

They were later brought to the manor of the Castellan where they noticed the river of blood in the forecourt of the mansion.

The Castellan wife proudly announced that the blood was from the guards who did not do a good job protecting her sister.

She then threatened her prisoners to confess otherwise they are all dead.

Loving this drama.  It is so fast-paced.

Episode 4

I loved the relationship between Dr Li and Fang Duo Bing.

Fang Duo Bing completely trusted Dr Li and even told his maid Li that she made a mistake.  He relied on Dr Li to be able to solve the puzzle.

Anyway, the duo solved the mystery of the death of the Second Sister.  She had been dead for a few days, killed by the Castellan who was up to his neck in debt.  The Yu City is rich but the property is divided between the two sisters.  So he killed his sister-in-law and ultimately he would also kill his wife to get to the property to pay for his enormous debt.

His accomplish was Yun Jiao who he intend to kill as well.  Poor Wang Gu was at the wrong place and at the wrong time so he got killed.

Episode 5

The situation was more complex.

Poor Yu Qiuzhuang was killed twice.  The first one was a fatal Air Slashing Smack by Zhongzheng, her fiance who was having an affair with her sister.  She staggered to Yun Jiao’s room for some comfort but found her canoodling with the Castellan, Qiuzhuang’s brother-in-law who blow the lethal Soul shattering Needle at her.  Poor girl. Dr Li commented that none of the people she loved, loved her back.

These sordid details were revealed

Madam Yu ordered for Duo Bing and Dr Li to be killed but reinforcement arrived from Baichuan Academy and Public Prosecution Office.

Episode 6

Their new case is the seven-headless corpse that appeared at Mount Puchu.

Fang Duo Bing and Dr Li infiltrated a grave-robbing syndicate whose target is the Yipin Tomb.  Before they could start their dastardly mission, a member of their syndicate was killed mysteriously.

Episode 7

The killer was quickly found and chaos would have ensued but Master Wei, their host, made sure that their mission comes first.  He told them that every one of them had been poisoned at the banquet he threw for them the night before.  He has the antidote and then can get it if they do what he says.

Dr Li and Fang Duo Bing were not affected but Dr Li signaled Fang Duo Bing to go with it and pretend that they were afflicted too.

Anyway, Master Wei led them to the Yipin Tomb which is the tomb of Prince Fangji and Princess Nanyin.

It was almost impossible to break through it was it under a formation.  But they do have people in their group who have good cultivation including a young boy, who is so lethal with his power.

So the boy jumped high into the mountain and was able to get into a little crevice.  He opened the great door from the inside.

They found the infamous Fourteen Thieves inside who had been dead for ten years but their corpses remained fresh.

They also found tombs full of treasures but Dr Li said that the real fortune must be where the Great Tomb was.  They need to find the prized Weeping Guanyin.

Episode 8

They found the standing tomb of Prince Fangji and Princess Nanyin.

The squirty boy was much too quick.  He was able to pluck the Weeping Guanyin from the mouth of the still fresh Princess Nanyin’s mouth.

Duo Bing tried to take it from the boy but he was not strong enough for the Super Boy so he ended up collapsed on the floor.

Dr Li used the paraphernalia like a Spiderman web to grab the Weeping Guanyin from the boy.

The boy chased after Dr Li and noticed his gait across the wall.  The boy knew that Dr Li was the legendary Li Xiang Yi.

Dr Li toyed with the boy who managed to take back the Weeping Guanyin.  The little orb contained an elixir which the little boy quickly swallowed.

All of a sudden turned into Di Fei Sheng who had finally gotten all his energy.  For frenemies, Di Fei Sheng was actually happy to see that Li Xiang Yi is alive but noticed that he had not gotten back his energy.

He tried to drag Li Xiang Yi to get him an elixir.  So cute but Li Xiang Yi refused so they fought for a while.

Di Fei Sheng knew that Li Xiang Yi interfered with the elixir because he was suddenly weak.

Li Xiang Yi told him that he has the antidote but Di Fei Sheng had to do him favours first.  First not to reveal that he was Li Xiang Yi and second, help him find the body of Shan Gu Dao.  Li Xiang confessed that he was dying so if Di Fei Sheng does not help him, then might end up dying together.

So Di Fei Sheng agreed.  Their bromance is so good.

Dr Li, Duo Bing, and Di Fei Sheng traveled together. Dr Li and Duo Bing went towards the Pudu Temple.While Fang Buo Bing went back to Baichuan to surrender a prisoner.

Episode 9

Dr Li Duo Bing and Di Fei Sheng all met up at Baichuan to witness the celebration of the unveiling of the returen of the Shaoshi Sword.  The sword of Li Xiang Yi.

Later on, there was a contest for a member of the public to get a chance to look at the sword up close and personal.

Di Fei Sheng can’t help himself and pushed Dr Li into the fore.  As luck would have it, the prize fell into his hand.

He was reluctant to claim the honour of touching the sword but majority said fair is fair.

Dr Li held the sword up high but Di Fei Sheng flick a stone into the blade with cut it into piece much to the shock of everyone including Dr Li.  He looked at the handle and realised it was a fake.

So a search for the real one ensued.  They found that under the display table for the Shiaoshi Sword was a large hole.  Upon examination, they found that it led to a tunnel.  The culprit was a cook, a spy from Jinyuan Alliance.

Then, it was fast-forwarded time, there was a verrryyyyy long scene of Xiangyi with Qiao Wan Mian.  It was so tedious.

Anyway, the masters at Baichuan, including Yun Biqui who poisoned Li Xiangyi came to find Dr Li.

They are suspicious that he was the missing master so they tested him with the real Shaoshi Sword.

Dr Li could not unsheath the sword.

Yun Biqui, later on, spoke to Dr Li alone about a friend of a friend who poisoned his master. He is still suspicious that Dr Li is really Li Xiangyi.  Anyway he asked  If the master returned, will he kill his friend?

Dr Li said, of course, which worried Yun Biqui.  But Dr Li said it is all in the past so he just forget it.

Episode 10

Monk Bhente was treating Li Xiangyi when they talked about what happened ten years ago.  The monk said that Li Xiangyi was not at his best during his due with Di Fei Sheng because Yun Bigui had poisoned him with the Bichu Toxin.

Di Fei Sheng overheard everything and later confronted Li Xiangyi about it.  He can’t accept that he might have won because Li Xiangyi was not at his best.

Di Fei Sheng insisted that they fight again.  Li Xiangyi reminded him that he has no power.  He told Di Fei Sheng to consider himself as the best.

Di Fei Sheng promised Li Xiangyi that he will find a cure for the Bichu Poison so he could fight Li Xiangyi one day.

“Whatever!” said Li Xiangyi.

Di Fei Sheng got his assistant to find out the cure for the Bichu Poison.

Meanwhile, they have a new case.  They are following the trail of Shi Hun to Cailian Manor.

The case was another bride had drown on the pond on her wedding night.

Apparently, this was the third time.  Master Guo said that when his first wife died, he married again. His bride drowned on their wedding night.  After a while, he married for a third time and the same thing happened.  He decided then never to get married again.

But his son, Guo Huo, got married a few days ago and his bride drowned.  The commonality of the brides was that they wore the same wedding dress.

Episode 11

It was the wedding dress that killed the brides.  It was just too heavy and when then fell into the pond after being frightened by the crazy Guo Kun who strapped a skeleton on his back.

They found that Shi Hun is dead and under the pond.

It turned out that Guo Qian was a nasty piece of work, who likes beating his slaves and wives.  His second wife was going to run away with Shi Hun when they got caught.

Episode 12

It was like father like son.  The third bride murder was not by Guo Qian but by his son, Guo Huo.  Guo Huo was in love with his maid so he plotted to kill his new bride on the night of the wedding just like the mysterious death of the previous brides of Cailian Manor.

Dr Li saw through it though.  Fang Doubing had Guo Huo arrested and taken to Baichun Academy.

Guo Huo did gave them a clue where to find Shi Hun’s property.  From the parchment he left, they located the body of Shan Gu Dao.

Li Xiangyi and Shan Gu Dao established the Sige Sect but in the end, they had a difference of opinion when Li Xiangyi signed a truce with the Jinyuan Alliance.  Shan Gu Dao intend to kill every single member of the Jinyuan Alliance in the name of peace but he got killed instead.

Episode 13

I love this episode. I find it strangely heartwarming.  There is nothing better that watching inherent kindness though only momentarily.

Anyway. Di Feisheng was obsessed to healing Li Xiangyi 100% so that he could then have a fair fight and then kill him.

So he dragged Li Xiangyi to see the herb demon doctor, who tried everything including putting Li Xiangyi into the Spiritual Snake pit.  But nothing worked.  The last thing was finding a rare flower.

Li Xiangi said that even if he finds the flower he will not drink it.

Di Feisheng then said that if he gets better, he will help him find the real killer of Shan Gu Dao. Tne years ago, Jinyuan Alliance who had just signed a truce with Sige Sect would not just then kill Shan Gu Dao.

Li Xiangyi was intrigued but he decided to let bygones be bygones.

This infuriated Di Feisheng who said that if Li Xiangyi really could not care less then he will kill the son of Shan Gu Dao.

Li Xiangyi was surprised and refused to believe but there was a letter as evidence.  It turned out that Fang Duobing is Shan Gu Dao’s son with Fang Duobing’s aunt.

Di Feisheng said that he will kill Fang Doubing in front of Li Xaingyi.

Fang Duobing was sulking because he was abandoned. by the Lotus Tower again.  He then got a message about where the tower was.

Di Feisheng was waiting for him and they had a fight.  Di Feisheng said that Duobing is talented but his prowess needed honing for another ten years.

He then poisoned Doubing.  Dr Li who came out of the tower was toned by Di Feisheng that he has a fortnight to decide otherwise Doubing will die.

Dr Li had a heart-to-heart talk with Doubing and told him that Fei is really Di Feisheng.

This shocked Doubing but he said later that he was not surprised. There is something evil about Fei.

Di Li tried to pass his ancient practice to a reluctant Doubing.

Meanwhile, back at Jinyuan, Di Feisheng warned a rather cocky, Jiao Liqioa not to go beyond her duties again (it was her who poisoned Li Xiangyi with the Bichu poison) or he will kill her.

Episode 14 – 16

Gang Qi

The warning did not stop Jiao Liqiao.  She decided to meet other masters of the martial arts world, starting with Feng Qing.

To treat Doubing, Dr Li needs the Opal Skull, whose current owner was Jin Mantang of Yuanbao Villa.

Jin Mantang was very ill and recruited the best medical people from far and wide.

That is why when Dr Li and Duo Bing got to Yuanbao Villa, the best doctors were already there.

Tree Man Syndrome

The old doctor who was the mastermind of the robbery of the Opal skull was arrested.  He told Duo Bing that his parents were not his real ones as he treated them for infertility.  Duobing real mother was He Xiaolan and his father was Shan Gaoda.

Duo Bing dismissed what he said.

Fearing that Duobing would find out who he really was, Dr Li incited Duobing to pack his pack and never to return.  He told Duobing that he had no time to babysit a rich boy who has no real value to him.

Duobing was so affronted, he left in a huff.  He had really bonded with Dr Li, so much so that he was prepared to protect him with his life but found out that Dr Li only finds him as a bit of an irritant.

Episode 17

Duo Bing went back to Tianji Sect but found he had to pass a perilous bridge of thousand arrows.  Watching him was his known mother, He Xiaohui.

He found out for sure that his mother was He Xiaohui’s second sister, He Xiaolan who at 18 fell madly in love with the martial-art-obsessed Shan Gaoda.

Gaoda made her pregnant.

He Xiolan went back home to Tianji Mountain without telling Gaoda she was having his baby.

She died just after giving birth.  She left instruction that her sister and husband should bring up her baby.

Gaoda found out about the baby and tried to take Doubing with him but in the end he saw sense that there is no way for a child to be gallivanting the martial art world.

Duobing was so grateful to He Xiaohui who he said that she and his father will always be he real parents in his heart.

It was the wedding of the decade, of Qiao Wan Mian to Xiao Zijin.  Everyone from the martial arts world including the uninvited like Di Fei Zheng and Jiao Liqiao turned up.

Episode 18

Jiao Liqiao poisoned Qian Wen Mian with Iced Cicada which could freeze Qiao Wen Mian to death within six hours if it is not neutralised.

The poison was detoxified with Yangzhouman.

Qian Wen Mian later confronted Dr Li about it.  She said only Xiangyi has the Yangzhouman energy in him.

Dr Li made some prevarication but Wen Mian was not having it.  Dr Li left.

So later on, Wen Mian sneaked to see Dr Li and told him that he was Xiangyi.

Finally Xiangyi admitted to her that he was Xiangyi and he was so over her.  Now that she is married, she should enjoy life with her new husband.  He is sure that despite knowing that he, Xiangyi is alive, she does not regret having married Zijin because he could give her the settle life she wanted that Xiangyi could never do.  This was the reason she broke up with him in the first place.

Wen Mian knew this was the truth.

Meanwhile, the stress is literally killing Xiangyi and this was how Di Fei Sheng found him.  He transferred some of his Qi to Xiangyi.

Episode 19

Zijin and Wen Mian had their first marital bust-up.

Wen Mian disagreed to the idea that Zijin should become the leader of the Sigu Sect which was to be revived.

Zijin said that Wen Mian still thinks of Xiangyi day and night and no one was ever better than him.

Wen Mian told Zijin that Xiangyi was now just a memory to her.

Poor Wen Mian married Zijin for a quiet life but he was too jealous of Xiangyi and his raison d’etre was to best Xiangyi’s reputation of prowess.

Episode 20

Jiao Liqiao had been secretly drugging Di Fei Zheng with incence.  So when Di Fei Zheng fought with a renegade leader of a demon clan, Di Fei Zheng’ qi was not up to scratch..  He had to run away when he was badly stabbed.

Xiangyi and Doubing accidentally rescued Di Fei Zheng from being turned into a cadaver.  They realised that Fei Zheng has amnesia.

Xiangyi told him that he is one of his agents, an undercover agent from the Baichuan Sect.

Episode 21

Zijin had such a pathological jealousy of Xiangyi that he started spreading contentious rumours about the former sect leader.

Wen Mian found out about it and got really annoyed.  When confronted, Zijin said that she was quick to reprimand him when it comes to Xiangyi.  Wen Mian told him that Zijin has a mental problem.  It was him, not her who can’t let go of Xiangyi.

She was right because Zijin threw a Tea Party where he encouraged his guests to slag Xiangyi.  But backfired when Wen Miao turned up and announced that the Tea Party for the morons are over.

Meanwhile, Dr Li and Doubing had been invited by Yu Luo Chen to a mystery destination, which turned out to be the off-the-map Mountains Red.

Episode 22

Yu Luochen told Dr Li and Duobing that he created this place for Jin Mantang.

The serving girls are traffic girls.  Xinger is a princess, who actually the intended wife of Duobing but he did not know.

The girls said that

Episode 23

Everyone become a suspect.

Then it came out that there was a Machete Ghost who was taking revenge for the trafficking of this wife seven years ago.

The trafficker was the opium-addicted Dongfang Hao, who was one of the eight men invited.

The number one suspect was Guard Xin who had been behaving rather erratically.

Di Feisheng found his way to Xiangyi and helped with the case.

Guard Xin was apprehended by Di Feisheng and it looked like he was the Machete Ghost.

They searched his room and found incriminating evidence.  Guard Xin admitted that he was indeed the Machete Ghost who was out to revenge his dead wife.  But he said he was set up.

Without Yu Luochen, the guards started to abuse the women.

When Xinger told the girls that they were free to leave. They were very reluctant to go.  They said that below the mountain was more dangerous for them. So they ill stay put.

Episode 24

Bihuang was suspected of being in cahoot with Yu Luochen’s real kill but then Bihuang was then found hanged.

It turned out that Yu Luochen was bitten by a snake which caused his death.  He was then chopped by three different people.

It turned out that all the women played a role in the death of Yu Luochen and some of his soldiers.

Duobing arrested the women and were to be brought to Baichuan but then Qing’er introduced herself us Princess Qian Qian.  She then announced that she was giving a special pardon to all the women from Mount Luyong.

Xiangyi teased the shocked Duobing that his fiancee finally caught up with him.

Qing’er told Duobing that she will give her some more time as she was not worried as she expect they will end up married to each other anyway.

Episode 25

After the Princess left, Xiangyi continued to tease Doubing about just resigning himself to be a prince consort and retiring in peace and comfort.

Doubing was not happy at all.

The guards at the Girls’ Mansion refused to leave.  They kept saying that they will die if they leave the mountain.

Doubing explained to Baichuan Official that the guards had been poisoned and can only live month by month. Doubing asked the official to find a proper antidote for them.

Dr Li reckoned that the antidote can be found at the ancestral hall of Yu Luochen.

They were interrupted by someone who wanted to tell him something.  He said that he met Shan Gudao ten years ago.  Shan Gu Dao bought an Iron Cloud which he took to Weapon Valley to be made into an armour vest and a sword for Li Xiangyi

The man then said that it was very strange that Shan Gu Dao would die if he was wearing the iron cloud vest because it is the toughest and yet softest material that ever existed.  The only thing that could penetrate the material was Li Xaingyi’s Wenjing Sword, i.e. the man is sowing doubt into Doubing that Xiangyi killed Shan Gu Dao.

Doubing, however, was too loyal to his master Li Xiangyi so he lied and said that Shan Gu Dao was not wearing the vest.

Anyway, Doubing was still worrying about this new information when Dr Li told him that he found the Luochen’s ancestral hall.  It was inside a cave.  They went in but they became a victim of traps.  Dr Li fell underground while Doubing was left holding a falling boulder overhead and would have been squashed if Di Feisheng did not suddenly materialised.  Despite Feisheng’s strength, he needed more qi so Doubing transferred some of his energy which Di Feisheng recognised as the Yangzhouman.  He immediately asked Doubing who taught him to cultivate Yangzhouman.

Doubing begins to suspect that Dr Li is indeed Li Xiangyi.

But Dr Li is always a step ahead of Doubing, so for now Dr Li is able to fob him off.

Anyway, they found the antidote and quickly passed it to Bichuan Sect.

Their next mission was to go to Mount Chrysanthemum to find the Lord of the Netherworld.  It was quite a trek to the mountain and they got ambushed by Jinyuan Alliance who was sent by Jiao Liqiao to behead Dr Li and Doubing.

Xue Gong and Granny Blood recognised Di Feisheng but he did not recognised them.  They told them that he was their leader.

Anyway, he still fought them but Jinyuan Alliance was well prepared so Dr Li, Doubing and Feisheng run for their lives for the incoming ball explosives.

Later on, Di Feisheng asked who he really was.  Dr Li told him that he was really the leader of Jinyuan Alliance who had turned a new leaf because of the many killings he did.  Feizheng accepted the explanation for now.

The three ended up in the desolate Shishou Village that was almost uninhabited.  They went to the local inn and found it empty except for blood, lots of it, and deep claw scratchings.  They also found body parts at least just a few days old.

Episode 26

They looked around the inn and were attacked by a ghostly figure who could move so fast.  They were still thinking about it when another one entered the inn.

This time it was Elder Shi who told them that the inn was full of ghosts.  She invited them to her place where there is food and proper shelter.

The three went with her.  But Dr Li was so suspicious of her and their surrounding. When Elder Shi made them a sumptuous roast of wild mountain donkey which Doubing was so looking forward to, Dr Li said that they could not eat a thing because they are practicing Buddhists who are currently fasting.  They can’t even drink the famous Rouchang wine Elder Shi was offering.  The Rouchang Wine was the tipple of martial artists.

Episode 27

They found out that the martial arts masters at the village had been turned into mutants through a Karmic bug,  At present there is no known cure for it.

From a leech from Shishou village, Dr Li was able to extract the poison of Di Fei Sheng.  It was a success but it meant Di Fei Sheng was weakened by the treatment.

So he was not able to help Doubing and Dr Li when Jinyuan Alliance attacked.

It was a ferocious attack and Doubing would have been seriously wounded or even killed so Dr Li threw caution to the wind and fought as Li Xiangyi.

Finally, Doubing knew that Dr Li is Li Xiangyi who he was told was the one who killed his father Shan Gu Dao.

Anyway, Jiao Liqiao showed up determined to end Li Xuangyi’s life.  But even with only 10 percent of qi, Li Xiangyi managed to subdue her easily.

She surrendered but managed to fly off with a still unconscious Di Fei Sheng with her.

Meanwhile, Doubing confronted Dr Li as being Li Xiangyi.

Li Xiangyi was shocked when Doubing accused him of killing Shan Gu Dao.  He mentioned that only Xiangyi’s sword could have killed Shan Gu Dao who was wearing an iron clad vest.

Xiangyi equivocated with his reply because he was suddenly not sure what other things Shan Gu Dao had gotten himself involved with.

Doubing was very unhappy of being fobbed off once again by Xianyi so he broke a flute while likening it to their friendship.  He said they were so over and should keep away from each other.  But he finds out that Li Xiangyi did kill his father, Doubing will come for him.

Left alone, Xiangyi was overcome by the poison in his body. When he woke up, he was in bed in the Lotus Tower where Miss Su was looking after him.  Miss Su gave him more food for thoughts about the mother and child karmic bugs and their potential effect if the mother bug is ever found.

At the Jinyuan Sect, Di Fei Sheng woke but he was saying that his memory regressed from almost ten years ago.  This made Jiao Liqiao confident that she can control her boss.

Doubing was doing a vigil outside the quarters of the monk who treated Xiangyi.

Jiao Liqiao started as a sasaeng to Di Feizheng.  In order for him to notice her, she had his 12 guardians killed one by one.  Because Di Feizheng seemed obsessed with Li Xiangyi, she poisoned Xiangyi with the Bichu.  These just so Di Feizheng looked at her.

Zhan Yunfei saved He Xiofeng from Xing Ziru who was trying to abduct her after he fatally injured Liang Fairy. Her mission was to deliver the Rama Heavenly Ice to Madam He

It is really a hectic day at Tianji Court because Shan Gu Dao turned up and blabbed that Dr Li was Li Xiangyi.

Gu Dao brought the demon monk with him which shocked everyone.  Madam He said that the demon monk is ranked as the third strongest martial artist.

Episode 34

Di Feizheng helped Shan Gu Dao to take the  Rama Heavenly Ice.  He then snatched it back from Gu Dao together with the Rama bug box.

DFS then used the bug to remove the bug inside of him that had been controlling him. He went to his old master and broke all of his meridian.

Unfortunately for DFX, he got poisoned by Jiao Liqiao.  Gudao got the box back from DFS while Liqiao cut DFX tendons so he became reliant on Liqiao.
