Wow, I enjoyed the first two episodes that I watched. It seemed this has the same arc as the Japanese film, My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday; the time travel is from a parallel universe where the timeline runs opposite of each other. So every time Shen Bu Yan travels, he ends up in a different timeline.
Anyway, Shen Bu Yan is a writer who successfully published a book on the Demon Queen, Lu Yuan called The Southern Sheng’s Chronicles.
Shen Bu Yan categorically believed that Lu Yuan was a despotic queen who would kill anyone who gets in her way.
But after encountering Lu Yuan, he found that she was anything but evil.
I must say Zhang Ya Qin was impressive as Lu Yuan. She really looked the part as well as her martial art is well acted and choreographed.
