The Divine Hand of Deity Taihe which held the concentration of power of the gods accidentally fell into the mortal world. Without this divine hand, Deity Taihe fell into a coma🤣. Therefore, without him, the Divine Realm was no longer as powerful. The gods perished one after another.
This also meant that the mortal world can no longer have direct access to the divine realm. The mortal world was cut off. Only the human race were present together with two immortal clans, the Youhu and the War Demons.
Ji Tanyin was a mortal until she turned into Goddess Wushuang when she ascended to the Divine Realm a thousand years ago.
Her promotion to the rank of a goddess and immortality was due to her phenomenal engineering skill. She was the one who created the Divine Hand. She volunteered to venture back to the mortal world to search for the divine hand. It was not an easy task as without the space elevator, it was almost impossible to go back to the mortal realm. Poor Ji Tanyin was trapped at the Wu Mountain while coming up against near death experience while entombed in ice for years.
When she finally managed to wake up and free herself, she learned that there was an exceptional young man from the Youhu clan who she suspected was the one in possession of the missing divine hand.
She immediately went to find out what he was upto. Unfortunately, she witnessed his power to be to much for him, he almost removed pinghu land on the fact of the the earth. It was only by taking the major burnt of the explosion from the divine hand that save Pinghu. The effect though was that Ji Tanyin was catapulted into the bottom of the sea. Though sheer perseverance of making sure her mission was accomplished, she rose from the depth of the ocean.
The Youhu Clan of Fangwai Mountian, had become so powerful that the human race had become dependant on them.
Not many can enter Fangwai. Only convoys of slaves and servants can so Tanyin had to pretend to be a servant. Maiden servants are regularly supplied to Youhu my the town people.
