Episode 1
Kawai Yoshiko had her life planned already. At 26, she would be married, at 27, she will have her first baby then a second baby at 29.
Something seemed to have gone wrong because approaching 29, she is still very much single.
She does have a boyfriend of three years but she does not get the vibe that he was going to settle down with her soon.
She had a date with Daisuke, her boyfriend, who told her that he was being transferred to Fukuoka.
Yoshiko cheerfully told him that she will visit him all the time but then he said ‘Le’s break up.”
He was a beast. He told her that when he was offered the transfer, she never even for one moment came into the equation. He never thought of asking her to go with him. Then to make him sound caring, he told her that as she was turning 29 in the next week, it was unfair to take more of her time (meaning she was getting old and her biological clock is ticking) as he does not have any wish of getting married just yet.
Yoshiko was left crying on the way home. But then standing before her was her work colleague who asked her if she was alright.
Yoshiko was too emotional and needed to talk so she told him what happened that she had been dumped by her boyfriend.
Her colleague was the gorgeous Yuki who is a few years younger than her but he was so understanding.
She told him about her original life plan but she had updated it to 30 when she should be married but now she does not even have a boyfriend.
Yuki told her that if she was still single at 30, he will marry her. He then wrote a little contract on a paper drink coaster of their date of marriage, 26 July 2024.
Yoshiko thought it was just a joke especially when he treated her like nothing had happened the next morning at work.
But one thing though, because of the weirdness of what occurred right after she was dumped, it made her come to terms and get over being without Daisuke that much faster.
Yuri asked to dinner the next time they were off work. It turned out it has a 29th birthday celebration for her.
Yoshiko asked him why he wanted to marry her. She was thinking that he might confess to her but all he said was that he does not want so see her crying, or be sad. He wanted to see her happy.
Episode 2
Yoshiko was rather annoyed with herself for being upset that Mr Yuki might be dating someone else. So she tried to avoid him.
She was then put out when Mr Yuki seemed to encourage her to meet up others.
It was the Summer Festival. She really did not want to go but she had already paid for the festival and there is no refund so she dolled herself up in a lovely Yukata and went to festival. But then she changed her mind when she was surrounded by lovers. So she went back home but made a detour to buy some alcohol.
She bumped into Mr Yuki in the shop. She told him that it was the summer festival. He completely forgot it but complimented her on how kawaii she looked.
They agreed to go to her house and drink and be lonely together.
Yoshiko got a little drunk and ask Mr Yuki not to leave just yet. He gave her a quick peck on the cheek and said that he will see her in the office tomorrow.
Outside, Mr Yuki was thinking that he could not last a year just being around her. She was too tempting. Awww
