Episode 1
A good start. Jiang Shi Yan and Tang Yang are the best of friends, in fact they are more than friends because during high school Jiang Shi Yan took Tang Yang aside because he wanted something to discuss with her.
For a moment Tang Yang it was going to be a love confession but instead in all seriousness, Jiang Shi Yan said that they wanted them to become sworn brothers. They even had a brief ritual to cement the brotherhood.
When they finally graduated in high school, Jiang Shi Yan reminded Tang Yang that they will always be best friends.
Several years later, Jiang Shi Yan and Tang Yang remained to be closed. Jiang Shi Yan was more excited that Tang Yang who had done her Phd in a prestigious university had got herself a fairly senior job as a director in audit/finance.
Meanwhile, Jiang Shi Yan is a CEO of his all food company, Yi Xui Gourmet, which also does livestreaming and had 30M followers.
Anyway, Jiang Shi Yan booked a very exclusive restaurant for Tang Yang to take her new colleagues and staff. Unfortunately, it was not going well as expected during her first day at work. She is too humble and reasonable that they were walking all over her.
Episode 2
Because Jiang Shi Yan and Tang Yang are now on a marrying age, they are being pressured by their respective parents to think about marriage, preferably to each other.
Shiyan and Yang baulked at the idea of getting together.
Feng Wei Ran, their high school classmate and best friend who now works with Shiyan said later to Shiyan that it would be perfect if he married Tang.
Shiyan, however, said that it would never work because Tang is too familiar. She was way too close to him.
It so happened that there is a newly signed up Food Selector livestreamer at Yi Xue Gourmet. During the public contract signing, it was noticed by the press that Shiyan was wearing a cufflink which was the same style as Sheng Ni Na’s necklace. They assumed that they were a couple.
Tang teased Shiyan about it later on.
Tang started to show her mettle at work. She found some erroneous transactions which she told the manager to remedy.
Episode 3
Aww this drama is getting cuter and cuter.
Shiyan is very protective of Tang. He made sure that Director Gan does not harrass Tang during tream dinner party.
His action later on made Cheng Hui say to Shiyan that he has a crush on Tang.
Feng Wei Ran agreed with Cheng Hui
Episode 4
Shiyan started to think about it especially when he was away on a business trip. He missed Tang.
When he returned he was more or less ready to bring up the subject with Tang but he made a mistake of mentioning her former boyfriend first. The memory of her ex made her sad because he was a very good friend but because they had broken up she did not only lose a boyfriend but a good friend.
Shiyan telling her about his romantic feeling was out of the question for now.
Episode 5
Tang went out to dinner with her senior Zhou. Shiyan gatecrashed the dinner date but he was ignored by both Tang and Zhou Mo who seemed to have so much to talk about. So Shiyan phoned his posse for support. Feng Wei Ran and his wife Yanna turned up together with Cheng Hui.
Much to Shiyan’s consternation, Feng Wei Ran and Yanna started teasing Zhou and Tang as a perfectly matched couple.
Shiyan was not happy.
Episode 6
Shiyan started to work on getting Tang to look at him as a relationship material. But she seemed blind to his effort and saw him only a bestfriend and brother.
Shiyan always said that Tang had worked hard helping in setting up Yi Xui Gourmet.
Tang teasingly asked Shiyan when will she be getting her shares from his company. Shiyan in all honesty said that she will not be getting separate shares because his shares are also her shares for the rest of their lives.
She just looked at him funnily treating what he said as a jest.
Tang’s mother asked Shiyan not to help Tang in declining blinddates she had arranged for her daughter.
Tang also warned Shiyan about getting into a relationship.
Meanwhile, Zhou Mo was pursuing Tang more ardently when he heard that she had bought real estate property in a choice location and she had a collection of expensive BearBricks.🤣
Episode 7
Shiyan took Tang for a bit of walking down the memory lane at their old high school. They evaded the security guard by hiding in a storage room. Shiyan was almost kissing Tang but he stopped at the last moment. Silly boy.
Episode 8
Tang asked Yannan for some advice on how to entice a guy. Yannan was full of ideas. Unfortunately, it did not work on Shiyan as he saw Tang as one of the boys.
Episode 9
Yannan wanted to know how it went. So Tang told her that it did not work.
Episode 10
Tang was crashed when she overheard Shiyan, Feng and colleagues taking about her and Shiyan. Someone said that they thought Tang was Shiyan’s girlfriend but Shiyan and Feng said almost in unison that Tang is a brother, it is pure friendship.
Tang started pulling away from Shiyan. She told him she was busy doing overtime. When Shiyan went to the bank to give her something, Tang told him that he should stop coming to her workplace as people might misunderstood their relationship.
Shiyan was upset about it. He misses Tang but she does not even answer his call anymore. He was shocked and upset when he found out that Tang had been going on blinddates.
The last straw was when he heard that Tang and Zhou Mo were looking at apartments. Shiyan was hurt, he called Tang who finally answered his call as she wanted to talk to him regarding what occured with her meeting with Zhou Mo. Zhou Mo wanted to make a rather seeding transaction with Tang regarding financing. Tang was not very happy with Zhou Mo.
Tang was talking about it wiht Shiyan when a drunk driver crashed into her car. Shiyan worriedly found a very shocked Tang who was being harrassed by the men from the other car,.
