Episode 1
I love the atmosphere. It has a crackling start. Guan Xiaotong looks beautiful in Republican costume.
Zuo Shuangtao works as an underground agent. She leads a group of three guys and their mission was to kill Yamashita who was a Japanese drug/opium trafficker.
They followed him and his minions on a train station.
They did not managed to kill Yamashita instantly but they managed to poison him but then all hell broke loose, only Zho Shuangtao managed to get away from her group. The guys died for the cause.
Shuangtao was spotted by Captain Zhao who would have arrested her instantly if Chen Jia Ping did not turn up.
Jia Ping was Shuangtao’s fiance once upon a time but they broke up when Jia Ping did not turn up to register their marriage.
It was because he was injured carrying out his first assignment as a detective for CCP. He kept this secret from Shuangtao.
Anyway, they were both asked by Captain Zhao to go to the station for interrogation.
