Episode 1 – 10
Liu Yue Qing was married to Pei Xun which she was regretting very much because this implicated her when Pei Xun staged a failed coup to usurp the throne.
This later meant that they were both given poisoned wine to drink.
She collapsed in death but then she woke up back in time a day before the coup.
She prevented Pei Xun to get out of their quarters. She even lied to him that she was pregnant. Telling him that she does not feel well.
When he asked how far gone she was? She replied that she might be two months into her pregnancy which made Pei Xun agree rather be glad. He strangled her as asked who the father of her baby was since it was only a month ago that they slept together.
But then Pei Xun collapsed and when he woke up he was bound and gagged.
Yue Qing told him that it was for his own good but then the eunuchs came in with poisoned wine because Pei Xun might not have turned up but his accomplice did . So they both died again.

Episode 11
Pei Xun and Pei Yan were vying for the crown but still they are not rabid enough to want each other killed.
But Yu MInghe found out that Pei Xun promoted him to become palace librarian not because of his accomplishment but because Pei Xun is after Yue Qing, his fiancee. So to get back at Pei Xun, he tried to distribute booklets stating the corruptions of the royal family.
Thank goodness, Pei Xun’s guard managed to get the booklets before it got to the wrong hands.
Pei Xun knew it was not his brother’s doing as he would not attempt to disestabilise the monarchy. It was only Yu Minghe who has access to the records that could have down it.
