15 July 2022: It is a wrap.
Episode 1
Whoa this drama just dropped today without preamble. Probably, it has something to do with Kai Cheng’s scandal. Neverthelsess, Kai Cheng is looking really handsome.
Anyway, this is another fireman-doctor romance.
Captain Su had just come back from abroad after studying, working and gaining valuable rescue experience.
He showed his prowess by climbing a building like Spiderman’s cousin. He then rescued a dog which was later tended by a passing Song Xingchen, who had just resigned from her job as a doctor..
Capatain Su saw her and he liked what he saw but she did not really notice him.
The next time they met was on a blinddate. They were both coersed by their respective family to go on a blinddate.
Xingchen turned up dressed provocatively to discourage Captain Su. They did not get on and ended up insulting one another especially when she told him that she was no longer a doctor but works for Stardust Rouge, shop for women.
They parted and each hope not to see each other again but they seemed to be fated to bump into each other and they met again in the supermarket.
Captain Su was picking sanitary napkins that had fallon on the floor when Xingchen just turned up in front of him.
Xingchen accussed him of being a cad going on blinddates when he obviously had a girlfriend as she looked at the napkins he was holding. She did not give Captain Su a chance to explain.
When Xingchen got back home, she walked into her mother who was so scandalised when the matchmaker called saying that she will be dropping Xingchen from her list because she has loose morals, working in a unmentionable shop. Her parents were telling the matchmaker that their daughter was a doctor.
They asked Xingchen what was going on. She was forced to confess that she had resigned from the hospital and she was in business with Han Xiao Li.
Her parents were so put out.
Episode 2
Xingchen went to Haicheng University to visit her old mentor, Professor Li. She wanted to study for her PhD under Professor Zhang.
Professor Li encouraged her to volunteer as part of the medical team at Polar Night Rescue.
Xingchen was very enthusiastic about it and went to the centre wiht her suitcase. Almost the first person she saw was Captain Su.
Many of the new female volunteers were excited to see a handsome Captain Su.
Captain Su’s luck of romantic experience became a topic of discussion amongst the girls. They thought that he was probably not into girls.
Xingchen was laughing about it and tried to test Captain Su if he was really gay. She was trying to get close to him and he was behaving like a frightened rabbit.
Despite this, the team started teasing them that there is more to them that they werre not telling.
I am liking this drama.
Episode 3
The volunteers are put to a rigorious training. It is becoming obvious that Captain Su is into Xingchen as he was always there to protect her.
He even used his body to protect her from falling rocks when they were mountain climbing. He hurt his leg so he had to be rushed to the hospital. But then he heard that Xingchen and another trainee had gone missing in the mountains. Despite limping, he went to search fo Xingchen.
They knew that they were into each other. Captain Su milked his injury for all its worth so that Xingchen was at his beck and call.
When he got better, he received an emergency call from abroad asking for help at an earthquake. So he left without saying goodbye to Xingchen.
