Episode 1
Whoa, this is the second drama for Chen Xing Xu that is currently broadcasting, the first being My Boss with Zhang Ruonan.
Cheng Xing Xu does have that perfect demeanor of being a boss/CEO and in this drama, he is once again a business executive. He plays Xiao Yi Cheng.
Anyway, Xiao Yi Cheng was in the process of introducing a product that can interpret anything by a millisecond. To promote the ability of the product he hired a human interpret who is known to be the best in the business as she can remember a speech of a 12 minutes duration and translate it perfectly.
The woman he hired was Lin Xi, who happened to be his ex-girlfriend; the only girlfriend he had ever had and can’t seem to get over despite 8 years had passed.
When an associate, Tang Xin, asked why he had to hire a girl who dumped him, Yi Cheng said said he wanted to know if she regretted ending it with him, now that he is a successful businessman.
Lin Xi was not suprised when she saw Yi Cheng because she was forewarned as she is meticulous with her work and research.,
During the conference, Yi Cheng tested her to the very limit but she was so good, she came through with flying colours. The event was a success. The interpreters went out to dinner with Yi Cheng and his team comprising of Tang Xin and Mao Mao.
It became obvious to everyone that there was still great unresolved feelings between Yi Cheng and Lin Xi. Actually mostly on Yi Cheng’s side.
Episode 2
Yi Cheng was in a revenge mode so he purposely made Linxi to misunderstood that he and Tang Xin are more than just business partners. He made it sound that he and Tang Xin are a faily and with a child already.
Yi Cheng is still smarting from being dumped by Linxi eight years ago. She made him feel that he was not good enough for her.
Tang Xin told him that there must be a misunderstanding between him and Lin Xi. Tang Xin does not think that Linxi is a snob.
Tang Xin was partly right. Lin Xi broke up with Yi Cheng because she wanted to work for the UN as an interpreter as her parents wanted. Being in a relationship might hinder her ambition.
Episode 3
Yi Cheng was setting up Lin Xi. Instead of paying for the services rendered, he made three complaints against her company.
Lin Xi had to do everything she could to convince Yi Cheng to rescind his complaint. But he had got it in for her. He was too interested to discuss their pass.
Because of his immature behaviour, she told him that she did not regret breaking up with him at all, in fact it was a good decision because he is now such a dickhead.
Actually, Lin Xi broke up with Yi Cheng because she was forced by her grandpa who told her that she was just like her mother who put her blossoming career for love. She was as useles as her mother for giving up on her dream for a man.
Episode 4
Yi Cheng tried to revoke his complaints against Huacheng but it was too late.
This being said, Lin Xi was surprised that Yuyi still wanted to collab with Huacheng.
Yi Cheng continued to provoke Lin Xi and yet he ended up accusing her that after all the 8 years passing, she had not become narrow-minded and had not move on.
Lin Xi took all his insults humbly because the Huacheng CEO had told her that they had to get the Yuyi collab otherwise her placement application for the UN would go nowhere.
Lin Xi was upset when she saw Tong Xin’s son calling Yi Cheng, Daddy, when she and Wei Tian dropped off Yi Cheng to his hotel after having wined and dined him.
Episode 5
Yiyi is in trouble. Their major investor, Daniel, decided to disinvest.
