Episode 1
Lin Jiu Shi is a game designer who had recently lost his job. He now spends his time playing virtual reality games at a rather seedy game centre run by Cui Zheng Qin.
A particular game that Jiu Shi liked playing was called Spirealm (Spirit Realm) where he battles with wolves in a snowy mountain.
The game in Brother Cui’s shop was not legit so it tends to stall. He begged Brother Cui to get the fuller original version.
Brother Cui advised him to relax as he heard too much gaming could result to hallucination.
Jiu Shi laughed this off. He went home and fed his cat but then someone delivered a parcel for him. It was the game Spirealm. Immediately, he went back to the game centre and stayed and play until the shop closed.
As he left the centre, he started to see a replica of the Spirealm door in the middle of a busy road. Drivers shouted at him but he was like a zombie trying to get to the door. He ended up being run over by a car. It looked pretty bad.
He went home quickly and tried to clean up his wound. He got a fright when he can’t see his image in the mirror in the bathroom. He left the bathroom and immediately catapulted into the Spirealm where he was immediately pounced on by a wolf. He tried to evade but the wolf is too agile. Then he heard a voice guiding him in what to do.
He managed to escape the wolf and met his saviour, Ruan Nan Zhu.
Yeah, I like this drama. Nicely executed with cute leads.
