Episode 1
I really enjoyed the first episode. It is light, it is fun and Jelly Lin is really gorgeous and the little girl who plays her young sister is adorable.
Anyway, the story starts with Luo Ling Yu celebrating her 24th birthday. Apparently, this birthday is very important to a girl (it is when she is most beautiful) and Luo LIng Yu had been judged as the most beautiful in the whole of Shuozhou.
Their parents have died. They were an affluent family but it was customary for the government to confiscate the fortune of a family when the parents have died, thus Lingyu and her young sister live with their Uncle and Auntie.
Her Uncle and Auntie prepared a great parade for the birthday celebration of Luo Ling Yuo as a PR as they wanted her to marry into the rich and influential Fan Family.
Fan Qing Chen, the heir to the Fan had been proposing marriage to Lingyuo for the longest time. Lingyuo managed to dodge the proposal each time but knew that she can no longer put if off
The parade was attended by well wishers who admired the beautiful Lingyuo. They brought her expensive gifts which Lingyuo declined humbly but accepted a simple temple bracelet.
Lingyuo said that she had to do that because she does not want to appear materialistic.
Her sister knew her too well and said that she can prettify greed so well.
The parade, however, hindered Lu Yun’s mission of intercepting the Beichu Trade Cavern. He knew that the merchendise would be hidden at the Fan residence. So thinking that the only he could get into the Fan Mansion was by smuggling himself inside on of the dowry chests of Lingyuo
During the wedding parade the next day, Lingyou and her sister and maid carry out their plan to run away but it did not go as they had plotted.
Lingyou ended up going through the marriage ceremony. While she was waiting at the marriage chamber, Lu Yun came out from the dowry chest which scared Lingyou and himself. She could him a thief and screamed for help while she was trying to find her young sister from the mansion. Lu Yun screamed back that there was a runaway bride. The guards got confused which was to deal with.
Despite everything LuYun found the Fan hidden account while Lingyou reunited with her sister and rode out of town.
