Plot Summary
At Song Lan’s wedding Xu Ran caught the bouquet but Qin Nai promptly took it from her and gave it to Qi Shu Yi, his assistant who is also a bride’s maid.
Song Lan and Xu Ran were not happy as they had pre-arranged that Xu Ran gets the bouquet to make Qin Nai set the date to their own wedding as per tradition.
Xu Ran was really agree and confronted Qin Nai later on when they got back to their house.
Xuran told him that she had a best friend promise with Song Lan that whoever gets married first, the other had to marry no later than a week later.
Qin Nai laughed this off and told her that he was at an important juncture of his career and marriage will only complicate matters. A wedding is not happening right now.
Ranran proposed breaking up. She told him she was going to get married in a week.
Qin Nai and Ranran had been together for eight years. Lately, he had been taking her for granted and had shown her that he was partial to his assistant Qi Shu Yi who he had a touchy-feely relationship even in the office when he categorically ordered Ran Ran not to be so obvious with her affection at work.
Anyway, wedding invitations were received by their friends of Ran Ran’s wedding. The friends sniggered and told Qin Nai just to get married.
On the day of the said wedding, Qin Nai reluctantly got ready. But when he got to the venue rather belatedly, they met Song Lan who told them that they were too late. Ran Ran is married.
Still Qin Nai did not take this seriously. He thought Ranran and Songlan were pranking him.
He bumped to Ran Ran and Song Lan after a few days. He told Ranran to stop her tantrum and go back with him.
Ranran told him that they had broken up and she was now a married lady.
Still Qin Nai did not believe her and told her to produce her husband.
Ranran agreed a place and time to meet up with him. Finally Qin Nai met Ran Ran’s husband,Qin Xu.
Qin Xu was was Ranran’s childhood sweetheart. So he knew Ranran longer than Qin Nai.
Qin Nai was absolutely gutted remembering how Ran Ran had been so good to him but he took her for granted.
His trouble was just starting as he found out his assitant had been secretly siphoning his funds at work. Shuyi was absolutely untrustworthy.
It was too late for him though as he ended up in the hospital with fatal stomach cancer.
Meanwhile, Ranran had her happy ending with Qin Xu with the birth of a daughter while Qin Nai died bankrupt with no one to claim his body from the hospital.
