Plot Summary

Whoa, the chemistry is exponentially hot.  Wow.

Love this drama already after just a few minutes of watching.

The leads are a favourite.

Anyway, Ling Chuan is a renowned chaebol  who is playboy.  He had been dating Chin Shu Yi, who is a mortician, for a year.

They have a very passionate love affair but outside the bedroom, everything is casual.

One day, she overhead Ling Chue talking to his friends,  who asked him what would be the ultimate outcome of his  relationship with Shuyi as they had been dating for quite some time.  They reminded him that  he had already confirmed publicly that they were a couple which was unheard of as Ling Chue had never done anything like that before with his previous girlfriends.

Ling Chue boastfully said  that marriage to Shu Yi was not happening because they were just having fun.  There was also the heiress, Tao Wang Hsi, who was about to return to China.

Shu Yi nonchalantly joined in the conversation, not showing any visible sign of being upset.  She was always composed.  But she started pulling away from Ling Chue.

Ling Chue was seriously traumatised when he overheard Shuyi talking to one of her bestfriends who asked her if she really likes Ling Chue.  Shuyi said yes which made Ling Chue so chuffed but it did not last long because the BFF asked if Shuyi loves him.

Shuyi was very categorical and said “No”

Ling Chue was so miffed and while drunk broke up with Shuyi by text.

Quickly, Shuyi agreed to the breakup by return text.

Ling Chue became more drawn to Shuyi but she was rebuffing his every effort.  She even started going on blind dates.

Ling Chue was so obsessed with Shuyi that the Ling family noticed.  Father Ling warned Shuyi to stay away from Ling Chue as they don’t belong to the same ‘world’

Shuyi told Ling Sr that she had broken up with Ling Chue.

Ling Chue’s  mother on the otherhand wanted Shuyi to give Ling Chue a chance.  She told Shuyi that Ling Chue’s lackadaisical attitude to life and women was due to his upbringing.  The mother felt guilty of neglecting Ling Chue while growing up. He witnessed constant battle and strife between his parents.  Ling Sr blamed his mother for preventing him from marrying the love of his life.

The closest kin to Ling Chue was his uncle who just passed away.

The departure of a loved one is not a sudden heavy rainstorms, but a long dampness that last for the rest of your life.

Shuyi was very pragmatic.  She remembered why she started dating Ling Chue.  It was during a very tough and stressful time in her life as a mortician.  She had insomnia and was jokingly advised by her BFF that the best way to release her pent-up emotion was to sleep with someone.  That someone then was Ling Chue.  That’s why she went into the relationship with a clear intent not with with a love brain.  She was always been clear-headed.

Not all relationships need a perfect ending.

She did asked Ling Chue if he loved her but he just prevaricated. His second chance was gone.

Liking someone doesn’t mean you two are a good match. But being a good match can’t replace liking either.

But then Ling Chue had changed.  He said he now had a clear mind.  He loves her so much, and could not live without her.

Shuyi was still adamant. She said that Ling Chue was dirty.  He was a playboy, he slept around.

Ling Chue was quick to deny it.  He said it was just a cover.  He did not actually sleep with other women.  It was just a facade.

To prove it, he sent a wechat to everyone that Shuyi got all his first, she was his one and only love.  His friends thought he had gone mad.  He had become a love-brain.

What he was saying was echoed by his action so Shuyi gave him another chance.

Awww, so cute.  Their relationship was blessed by each other’s parents.

So happy ending.
