Episode 1

Hasuda Rintaro had just arrived in Japan from London after he was summoned because his father was very ill.

Rintaro headed straight away to Hasuda Trust and to a board meeting being chaired by his healthy father.

Rintaro commented that his father looked healthy.

His father was unapologetic and announced that he was thinking of retiring and he wanted his three sons to take over from him.

He wanted Rintaro to take charge of the Hosigahama Resort project which will include a huge underwater observation tower.

Meanwhile, Mio Nagisa was going to work at Ocena University of Shibaura Centre of Oceanography.  Along the way, she picks littered plastic bottles until she had a bagful.

She saw an online item about the Hosigahama Resort and the underwater tower and immediately thought that the tower was the one that has been the subject of her nightmares.  It had been disturbing her dreams.

She was told by one of her colleagues that she was asked to guest at Shubairu Television to talk about the underground tower.

Mio was adamant at first but she realised that it was the perfect time for her to air her disapproval of the project.

During the television program, she was asked what was her childhood memory of the sea.  The telly prompter told her to say something happy and funny but instead, she told them a horror story about a sea turtle who was choking on plastic.

Rintaro was annoyed at her and yet admired her tenacity.

As she was leaving the studio, she saw someone who was looking at an aquarium who seemed totally into the fish.  She thought he was a kindred spirit.

But she learned that he was Hasuda Rentaro.  He was rude to her and there and then she thought she hated him.

The next day, she was told that she was invited at the Hasuda Trust.

She was puzzled and rather surprised thinking that Rentaro wanted to see her again.  When she got there it was the first son, Kotaro, who saw her.  He wanted to recruit her to be an adviser for the resort.

She honestly told him that she does not want them to build the resort and Kotaro said that they needed opposing ideas to make the project even better.

Mio will be working with Rentaro and they were having opposing ideas on everything.  She thought she hated him even more.

But it seems not deep down because she saved him from drowning when his snorkeling gadget got caught in the reef.

While he was unconscious, she kissed him.  It did not look like she was resuscitating him.

He woke up and was surprised to see her.

But not as pleasantly surprise as the vlogger who videoed the whole thing.

So cute.  Satomi is just gorgeous with the most contagious smile.

Episode 2

David Chang was being courted by Hasuda Trust to invest in their sealand tower resort.

Mio was worried about this because she heard a fish saying that they are scared of David.

It seemed that Mio has a secret.  Nine months ago she was found unconscious by Kamoi Tadashi by the bank of the river.  Is Mio a mermaid?

Anyway, her secret is that she is a sealife whisperer.  She can talk and understand the sealife.   In fact her best friend is a polkadot fish.

Anyway, she tried to convinced David to stop the construction of the underground viewing centre in the sea.

David said that he understood but he will build the resort.  It was all about the money

Finally Rintaro came to the same conclusion as Mio about the underground centre but it was too late.  Their partnership with David Chang had been announced.

Episode 3

Mio was adamant that Hasuda Trust should not buy the mountain next to the sea where they were proposing to build the viewing tower.

The heir to the mountain refuses to sell it at first found sadly found out that her dead father had accumulated a mountain of debts.  So the mountain had to go.

Mio was very saddened by this turn of events and felt aggrieved towards Rintaro.

Rintaro assured Mio that it was better that Hasuda got their hand on the mountain because at least they can protect it from being flattened.

Mio was pleased and fell a little in love with Rintaro who can’t helped being attracted to the strange Mio.

He walked her home but as she was turned back to look at him, she saw a girl happily hanging to his neck.

Love this drama. The romance is so gentle.  Ayano and Satomi are just the cutest couple.

Episode 1

This drama gives that feeling of freedom and gentle leaving.  Everything is clean and bright.

Anyway, the first episode is pretty impressive.  You feel that it was just too short and leaves you wanting for more.

Tenko runs a lodge or pension in the thick of the forest.  Well, she was in a pretty remote site that it is pretty usual that she does not get guests on regular basis especially on weekdays.

Anyway, she was cleaning up the forest near her pension of wooden debris when she heard rustling on a grassy knoll. 🙂

She ignored it the first time but the second time it happened, she threw the wooden sticks she gathered where the rustling was coming from.

Out stood a man in a cream suit and tie who was just buttoning his jacket.

The man said that he was lost and wanted to stay on a pension.  He asked if she runs the pension.

She took him into the lodge and made him complete the formalities.  She found out his name his Tsuneki and was from Tokyo.  She then took him to his room.

Tenko was just tending to her deliveries from the grocery when Tsuneki just appeared.  He was hyper and admits it.  He said that he wanted to do things and can’t just sit around.

Tenko took him in her garden and they started weeding.  He was very enthusiastic but seemed very frightened of dogs.

Tenko serve him hamburger steak later which he said he like.  He then said that the food would go nicely with a glass of grape wine.

Tenko brought out a bottle of red wine.

Tsuneki invited her to have a drink with him.  They then got talking about life.

Tsuneki said that animals and plants have a symbiotic relationship without emotion necessary for human beings.

Tsuneki then asked Tenko why she run a pension.

She told him that at first she likes the freedom of being alone, cooking only for herself but after a while the food became tasteless and she realised that you have to do something for other people to be able to live properly.

The next morning, Tenko prepared breakfast for her guest.  When she called him, he did not answer.  She let herself in the room and found that it was neat and tidy and the guest was gone.  But on the bed over a large leaf was a matsutake mushroom.

Tenko grilled the mushroom and started reciting her guest’s name.  Tsuneki, Tsuneki, Tsuneki, kitsune – fox.

It so happened that a fox was seen slinking away from near her lodge.

Is Tsuneki a fox?

Episode 1

The first episode is so cute.  Lots of things had happened.

Nami’s dream is to have an ordinary life.  Be Miss or Mrs Average, have a nine to five job so she had enough time to date Ken-chan.

Her childhood sweetheart who went to Tokyo to work as a certified public accountant.

Nami applied for a job at a fashion magazine in the mechanical department or something.  For the interview, she went very early and so much time to kill she went outside the building to look around.

She saw a bench to sit on but a gorgeous guy grabbed her, stopped her from sitting.  She was so annoyed thinking that he wanted the bench to himself. So she sat down.

The guy showed her the wet paint sign and sure enough the skirt of her suit had paint all over it.

The guy took her to a boutique where she bought a very expensive dress suit which looked lovely.

She did not get the job but a fashion editor remembered seeing her and offer her an admin job in the publishing side of the magazine.

It so happened that on her first day a very famous, well-respected fashion editor was brought in. She was Horai Reiko, a younger version of Meryl Streep in The Devil wore Prada.

On her first day, Nami was made to work her socks off.  Her supposed admin job turned into an assistant/lackey to Reiko.  She fetched and carried for her.

She thought Reiko was a lazy, manipulative and self-serving.  Still Nami was able to survive her first day.

After a while, she got a call from Ken-chan with some obscure message as if to imply that he will ask to marry her because he was ready.  He then invited her to his birthday party.

She was all excited and bought a small birthday cake for Ken-Chan.

When she got to the party, she shyly called Ken-chan who was very happy to see her.

He then introduced her, his fiancee.  It was not Nami though.

It was another girl, the daughter of the vice president of the company he worked for.

Poor Nami was gutted.  She made excuses that she had to go back to work.  But soon enough she got a call from Reiko asking her to come to see her urgently.

Reiko wanted her to call her a taxi.

Poor Nami lost it.  She told Reiko that it was not fair to bother her when Reiko was obviously of a personal time, on a date.  She told off Reiko of misusing clothes for her personal use, etc.

She told Reiko she will quit.

Reiko was actually quite reasonable and challenged her to stay.

Anyway, she went back to the bench where it all began.  She started to open the cake when the gorgeous guy turned up and asked if he could eat the cake.

The gorgeous guy is Jonnusuke, a photographer but actually an heir to a corporation who was being forced by his parents to get married and settle down and take over the company.

Anyway, Nami told him everything that had happened and to distracted her he took her for a ride on his motorcycle and they ended up miles … to Chiba.  They had fun in the seaside.

Nami though got an SOS call from Izumi who told her that she did not get what Reiko meant with her drawings.  She just realised it now that they would need roses… lots of roses.

Nami asked Jonnusuke to take her back and along the way, they tried to buy the roses that were available but sadly no such luck.

Nami said she saw a billboard of a rose garden so why not bring the models to the rose garden.

In the morning when they got there, the owner of the garden did not want anything to do with them because previous experience with photoshoots had taught her a lesson.

Nami and Ryota were surprised to find Reiko kneeling begging the owner permission to use the garden.  Reiko appealed to the gardener’s heart using an anecdote about Marie Antoinette.

It was a successful photoshoot and Nami found a new respect for Reiko.  She was actually hard-working and the man Nami thought Reiko was on a date with was a designer who avoids publicity at all cost but not this time during the photo shoot.

Nami changed her mind.  She does not want to resign.

She was by the bench again when she saw Jonnusuke who she thanked for being her guardian angel.

He told her that this time he will be the one asking for a favour.

He wanted her to be his girlfriend.

Nami was shocked but Jonnusuke said only for one day, just pretend.  He wanted her to meet his sister first.

His sister happened to be Reiko.

Whoa.
