What an exciting start!
This is three years later after Season 2.
It started with a barge, within South Korea and Japan’s EEZ, where a gunfight broke out.
Later on the South Korean Coast Guard Police found the foreign barge with no sign of activity. So after advice from their higher-ups, the coast guard police boarded the foreign barge and found dead bodies and 6 unarmed frightened survivors. One of the survivors, a woman said that they are defectors from North Korea.
Immediately, this created a big problem as currently, delegates from South Korea and North Korea were in Seoul for a conference. South Korea accepting North Korean defectors will derail the conference.
But one of the defectors was badly injured and as it happens, Doldam Hospital was the nearest medical centre.
Woo Jin, Eun Tak, and a new intern were brought in by helicopter to the ship. Despite Woo Jin having learned from the best, still his skill is beyond what is needed so who do they call?
Teacher Kim.
Teacher Kim finally took a once-in-a-blue-moon holiday, chilling, singing to trot music while fishing.
As he was not answering the phone, Dr Cha and Jung In Soo had to drive to the fishing site to fetch Teacher, Kim.
The three were flown by helicopter to the ship as well.
Teacher Kim did his best but he said the patient must be transferred to the hospital as the apparatus in the ship is less than rudimentary.
Still, the coast guard refused for national security reasons but Teacher Kim appealed to their humanity and he succeeded but they made him sign a liability and waiver document. He must ensure to keep everything top secret.
Teacher Kim realised that the best place to treat his patients, four of the North Koreans needed treatment, was to use the newly built Trauma Centre which was not officially opened yet as it needed proper inspection to ascertain that the building is fit for purpose 🤣.
Anyway, despite Jang Gi Tae having apoplexy about this situation, he allowed the trauma centre to be used.
The new trauma centre is a state of the arts; all shiny and new.
Meanwhile, Park Min Guk had been meeting possible directors of the trauma centre.
He courted Cha Jin Man to take the position. Park Min Guk offered Cha Jin Man to show him around the trauma centre.
As it happened, Cha Jin Man agreed to tour the facility and said he was free right that moment.
As you can imagine what would happen?
When Park Min Guk and Cha Jin Man got to the centre, Min Juk was surprised how busy the centre was when it was supposed to be still a shell.
Teacher Kim was there with the team. Park Min Guk was surprised but he introduced Teacher Kim to Cha Jin Man who snubbed Teacher Kim’s propelled handshake but Cha JIn Man went directly to the surprised Dr Cha,
Who exclaimed “Dad!”
Everyone were shocked!
Episode 2
A frenetic episode, really exciting
Cha Jin Man told Park Min Guk that he will consider taking the position on condition that Teacher Kim was out of the Trauma Centre.
