Episode 1

In 2005, coronal mass ejection from the sun was coming directly to Earth because the Earth’s magnetic field had collapsed.

This is what happened to Mars and apparently happening to Uranus now!  There is no atmosphere to support life!

The effect would have been truly catastrophic but fortunately, scientists have already develop a contingency plan.

This was the Grid that works like a shield against the solar wind.

Past forward present time,  Sae Ha got entangled in a murder case when he was buying bin bags from a corner shop.

He became suspicious when he noticed that the big bag he just bought had traces of blood on it, he then noticed the sales clerk leaving the shop with a can of beer.

Sae Ha left his car and went to investigate, he found the real store clerk collapsed and bloodied in the back room.

He called the police who came in immediately.  Sae Ha was very helpful, in fact too helpful.  He would have been suspected of doing the killing but luckily there was CCTV at the shop.

Anyway, the main investigator was Jung Sae Byeok, who was a real feisty woman, she asked Sae Ha’s help because he seemed to be really good at lip reading and he can tell what the murderer and the clerk were saying through the monitor before the killing.

Sae Ha left and went home.  It looks like he was good at lip reading because the person he engaged to look at his comatose mother was a deaf and mute woman.

Sae Ha works for the GRID, which has the latest technology including being able to know what going on in and around Korea.  He was especially interested in the murder he became inadvertently a witness of.

He saw Sae Byeok having apprehended the culprit who was an out-of-work dentist.  Sae Byeok was about to arrest him when a phantom appeared,

The phantom has excellent martial art.

Now Sae Byeok is after the ghostly woman who can appear and disappear at will.

Whoa, really interesting drama, can’t wait for the next episodes.

Episode 2

This episode is more about the Ghost. It looks like she is known to many.

Even Sae Ha saw her once when he was much younger.

Deputy Director of Grid-SK, Choi Seon Wool knew more than she was letting on and Sae Ha became intrigued and suspicious of the real identity of the Ghost.

Episode 3

Sae Ha was seen taking the water bottle of Choi Seon Wool from her office.  He took the water bottle to Jung Sae Byeok to lift the prints and make a 3-D printing so he could use the to access the 13th floor of the bureau.

Sae Ha was able to copy a recording into his mobile phone.  He was such a good hacker because he was able to delete all his CCTV and replaced them with a back view of Choi Seon Wool.

It was heartbreaking for him to see a recording and relive the moment when the Ghost incinerated his father with just a touch.  His father used to work as a janitor at the Grid.

Sae Ha took the video to Jung Sae Byeok.  They realised that the Ghost was the original creator of the Grid.  They found records that she could materialise all over the world within 24 hours in 1997.

The Grid agents were used Kim Manok to get the Ghost.  It was unsuccessful.  Instead, the Ghost caught and imprisoned Manok under the tunnel of the subway (tube) station.

Episode 4

There are more revelations in this episode.

Choi Seon Wool of the GRID Administrative Bureau found out that the police detective they have incarcerated in their dungeon was Jung Sae Byeok, the ex-wife of their very own Song Eo Jin.

Choi Seon Wool wanted to know why Song Eo Jin had not confided of the existence of a wife.

He said that he had been divorced from Jung Sae Byeok for so long, she doesn’t come into the agenda of his life anymore.

They divorced because Jung Sae Byeok refused to be a stay home wife.

Meanwhile, Manok found a chisel-like steal inside his underground prison cell.  He was able to get out and take the metro.

The Ghost arrived to find Manok was gone but within minutes, he was back as she can manipulate time.

Choi Seon Wool became curious of the boy she found when the janitor died years ago.  She learned that the boy was an adopted son.  The boy grew up as Kim Sae Ha.

Speaking of Kim Sae Ha, he came home to find a new carried for his comatose mother/stepmother.

It was the Ghost in disguise.

Episode 5

A janitress got curious of the sound coming from the other side of the toilet cubicles.  She went to investigate the underground where the sound was coming from and found a deranged Manok shouting and raving.

The janitress ran for her life and found Sae Byeok.

Sae Byeok with the janitress went back to the underground.  Sae Byeok told the janitress to go call the police while she opened the cage and got attacked by Manok.

The Ghost is getting weaker.  Every time she beamed from place to place, it is displacing her DNA.

Episode 6

Sae Byeok was able to overpower Manok.  The police then arrived and took Manok to the station.

In no time the Special Investigation Bureau (SIB) agents arrived to take Manok because they knew wherever Manok was the Ghost would appear.

The police did not have much choice so they were prepared to give Manok but then Ghost appeared.

Major Lim Ji Yoo of SIB accidentally shot Deputy Director Choi Sun Wool dead.

But they did get the ghost which they immediately whisk to the HQ and experimented on.

They found that she had a steal, stone-like weapon controlled by a ball chip embedded in her arm which they fished out without anesthesia.

Then Director Jo Heung Sik ordered Song Eo Jin to inject the Ghost with truth serum.  One huge needle on her neck was not enough so he was ordered to inject another one.

Meanwhile, Sae Byeok warned Sae Ha not to do anything stupid because they had already killed Deputy Director Choi without any compunction.

Sae Ha told Sae Byeok that he wanted to get the weapon of the Ghost that could send him back in time so he could save his father.

He was shocked when he saw a CCTV of the Ghost injecting his mother with drugs.  He realised that the Ghost was his mother’s new carer.

Episode 7 – 10

To be honest, I had a problem following the story.

Why did the Ghost keeps saving Manok?

Who is Manok?

But then it says that Manok is related to the Ghost and Jung Sae Byeok.

Then towards the end, Jung Sae Byeok had a baby girl, who is the father?

Was it the ex-husband after a quick fumble after the funeral of Saeha?

It needs a second season for closure!

Been interesting but so confusing.
