Episode 1 & 2
I have to admit the story so far is nebulous in my mind as I did not really understand the subtitles🤣🤣🤣
However, despite this confusion,I still found the first two episodes intriguing.
Seo Se Hyeon who has the face of an angel is a forensic scientist/pathologist. And she is very good at her job and she knows it. She has a very interesting persona.
She is one of those talented ones who can use her mind’s eye to visualise how a crime happened. She can solve most crimes by just looking or interacting with the culprit.
I must admit, I had to look away more than a few times when there were pathology scenes. They showed cutting into the skin, pulling the flesh apart, etc. It was gruesome. I supposed the scalpel in the title gives a clue on what to expect🤣🤣🤗🤗
Anyway, Seo Se Hyeon seemed a little unhinged. Her back story is still mysterious but it looks like she was the little girl who saw her father at work. He was a serial killer🤣 Se Hyeon also seemed partial to cats, she like them so much, she has a cupboardful of catfood which she often snacked on.
The episodes also showed a man who works in a laundry/dry cleaner. He was a very genial man, liked by everyone including by the police. He was very good with sewing which was of course useful at his daytime job.
Jung Jeong Hyeon works for the police. He is still a newbie compared to the other police because of his young age. Despite being very skillful at his job, he is often undermined.
He was a stakeout with a senior colleague to catch a harden criminal. His senior went to a shop a saw a young boy stealing chocolates. He arrested the boy and insisted that they bring him back to the station. They should teach the boy a lesson about crime so he will learn from a young age that doing wrong has consequences.
The boy was very sorry and but Jung Jeong Hyeon and his colleague were sorrier The criminal in their stakeout managed to live another day to do more crime. Jeong Hyeon and senior got a proper dressing down.
Meanwhile, Seo Se Hyeon often has a contretemps with another pathologist, Oh Min Ho. He often argued how she does things.
After having another argument, the guy did not come to work the next day.
It looks like he was the one being wheeled inside a suitcase dead.
Episode 3 – 4
Oh Min Ho was finally noticed to have gone AWOL.
A chopped up body was sent to the pathology. Many of the body parts were missing. Again, a mysterious thread was found inside a body part. They managed to get a print from a hand and to their shock, it matched Oh Min Ho’s print.
Seo Se Hyeon became a suspect as she was the last one to have spoken or argued with Oh Min Ho.
They had to let her go as she had solid alibi. She has also some problem with her neighbours as she was suspected of butchering cats.
Jung Jeong Hyeon was proving himself to be a good detective.
Meanwhile, Seo Se Hyeon had decided to go back and confront her past. She kept remembering that she grew up making sure that blood stains were properly cleared up whenever there were splashes. She was told that she must not leave anything to become an evidence.
