Episode 1 Living In The Mist
Whao. Screammmmm I have been waiting for this drama to broadcast for so long and now here it is. So excited.
And it did not disappoint.
Once upon a time, demons live with humans. Demons protected humans as guardians.
But then organised religions happened🤣🤣🤣. Suddenly, the demons acquired the reputation of being evil spirits when in fact they were angels of the fallen kind.
Anyway, 200 years ago, Gu Won realised how the demons have been so marginalised by the Catholic Church, in spite of this, Gu Won wears a cross necklace and had a cross mark on his wrist. He is now working as a seductive grim reaper.
He finds people who were on their last hope. He then seduced them into signing a prosperity contract in return for their souls. He would give them at least ten years to live the life of Riley and then he would take their lives after due date.
Gu Won was just celebrating another successful soul gathering by hiring a dining room in a plush restaurant all to himself.
But then a beautiful girl tresspassed the area thinking that he was her blinddate. The girl was Do Do Hee, the CEO of Mirae F& B, who reluctantly turned up for her blinddate because Madam Ju, her beloved guardian, who adopted her, refused to go for her MRI scan unless DoDoHee goes to her blinddate.
Anyway, Do Do Hee was just about to make an excuse to leave the date early but then she saw the drop-dead gorgeous Gu Won. She liked what she saw and she later realised that she was blushing.
The poor clueless Gu Won told her that he does not know her and was not expecting her. Before they good chat more, the posse of the dead gang leader, whose soul Gu Won had just collected turned up. Gu Won caught them one by one with his newspaper. The gang ended up a photos in the newspaper.
In the end, he let them go as they were not souls he had to collect.
Meanwhile, Do Do Hee was made aware that the matchmaker gave her the wrong address. Her blinddate was waiting somewhere else.
…..,…
DoDo Hee was adopted by Madam Ju when she was a little girl after her parents died. Her father was an engineer who was a business partner of Madam Ju.
Madam Ju cossetted her although she often said to Do Do Hee that she could not trust anyone became in the end they will betray you.
And it seemed this is the case with Madam Ju’s family who were competing against each other to the death to inherit the position of CEO for the entire Mirae Group from Madam Ju.
DoDo Hee was made aware that No Soo An had been creating scandal against Dodo Hee.
Do Do Hee was told where to find No Soo An. Who she found was an assassin who was going to kill her but then Gu Won turned up.
It looked like Do Do Hee was his next victim. He said to Dodo Hee that he will save her from the assassin under the condition that she will do what he says.
With not much choice Do Do Hee agreed to his condition. She let Gu Won deal with the assassin while she tried to hide. She hid by the bridge when Gu Won found her. They both ended up plunging into the river below.
They save each other unwillingly.
To Gu Won’s consternation, his cross mark on his wrist had gone.
Episode 2 Everyone Has A Demon In Their Heart
Gu Won could was flabbergasted when he suddenly lost his power when the cross mark on his wrist disappeared.
He then noticed it on Do Do Hee’s wrist.
Do Do Hee was then disgusted to have gotten a tattoo overnight. She declared that she was going to have it lasered or make it a pororo?!!!
Gu Won told her not to do anything with it. Without his cross mark, Gu Won found it hard to function as a grim reaper.
But later on, he realised that when he was holding Do Do Hee’s hand, his powers would comeback.
Do Do Hee was crossing the road when a rider threw acid on her director. But Gu Won was just in time to take the full force of the acid.
Episode 3
Whoa, I did not expect what happened in this episode. Rather shocking but it showed how Kim Yoo Jung could out-act anyone.
Anyway, Do Hee andd Gu Won went tot he police station to report the acid attack. The police wanted to know who she offended or who would want to kill her. They assured her that if the acid went to her face, it would have been fatal for her.
Do Hee said that she had not offended anyone and does not know who would harm her.
Do Hee asked Gu Won to be her bodyguard which he promptly refused because he would not be doing menial task for a human.
Without Doo Hee though Gu Won’s life is in danger of ending all together as he was started fo self combust.
He finally told Do Hee that he will be her bodyguard.
Do Hee got so alarmed because the head of Mirae Finance who called her had committed suicide. She mentioned this to Madam Ju that the man had contacted her. Madam Ju was concerned but told Do Hee to mind her own business while she takes care of Mirae Grou[.
The next time Do Hee saw Madam Ju was when she went to look for her in the green house. Madam Ju had tried to call her but when Do Hee tired to return the call, Madam Ju was not answering her phone.
Do Hee told Gu Won to drive them to the green house where they found Madam Ju who was already dead. Yes, shocking!
Do Hee was inconsolable and begged Gu Won to bring Madam Ju back to life. She said that she will sign a contract with Gu Won.
Gu Won who was rather upset to see how heartbroken Do Hee could only say that he could not bring the deadf back to life.
The funeral was widely attended by family, friends and business partners. Do Hee got so upset that the funeral was turning more into a party where everyone was laughing and joking.
Do Hee went to the nearby green house just to feel Madam Ju.
Gu Won followed her and she mentioned how she misses Madam Ju. Gu Won asked her if she knew why people at funeral wear black? He said that black clothing will make the wearer anonymous to the departed spirit.
Do Hee was moved and said that she wishes she was not wearing black because she wanted Madam Ju to recognise her.
With a touch, Gu Won changed her black dress into a pristine white.
Noh Seok Min was confident that he will get to inherit Mirae Group so he asked the company lawyer to read the will right there in the funeral.
To everyone’s surprise, Madam Ju left the company and most of her properties to Do Hee under the condition that she should get married.
Wanting to be in control to find out the deep dark secret withing the Mirae Group and who killed Madam Ju, Do Hee asked Gu Won to marry her right there in front of everyone.
Episode 4
He said ‘No’. Gu Won turned her down!
Kim You Jung and Song Kang’s visual is the most captivating. They are gorgeous together.

Episode 7
Whoa this episode is heartbreaking.
Do Hee was getting flak from netizens for supposedly being behind the death of Madam Ju.
The police was alerted about it and ended up with Do Hee getting arrested.
While she was under interrogetion, poor Gu Won was stabbed in the heart by the nape-scratching man who had found out about Gu Won’s secret when he just walked into Gu Won’s office which seemed to be unguarded. The assailant quite easily managed to put a bug under Gu Won’s desk and took the All You Need to Know About Demons book. He heard everything about Gu Won’s being a demon and his weakness which is written in a book.
Gu Won did not want anyone looking at the book and yet he did not keep it under lock and key.
Anyway, the scratching man got the book.
Gu Won, now more or less reverting to being a human again, was on the point of dying. All he cared about was Do Do Hee which he called in his dying breath.,
Episode 8
I have to talk about the ending of this episode first because I just had too. My baby Youjung has really grown up. That was a real torrid kissing scene with the gorgeous Song Kang.
These two’s visual is giving the word, perfect a different higher level. They are that gorgeous together.
Anyway, poor Do Hee could feel that there was something wrong with Gu Won. The police told her that he did not believe that she anything at all to do with the death of Madam Ju but the higher ups told him to investigate thoroughly.
He said that he will get the warrant investigated and she should be allowed home. Unfortunately, they got a message on what happened to Gu Won. The police was symphatetic so Do Hee was allowed to leave but secretly and had to return immediately afterwards.,
Do Hee went to the hospital and saw Gu Won who was really in a bad way. She cried holding his hands.
Gu Won woke up and told her that her crying was an ugly sight. He then hugged her to him which was seen by Ga Young who was enraged with jealousy.
Gu Won perked up around Do Hee but deep down he was really suffering.
Do Hee had to return to the police station. Thankfully, she was cleared and the public also began to change their opinions about her being guilty.
But then, Do Hee kept worrying that her issue with the inheritance and being the CEO were more trouble than their worth. She thought she will get Gu Won killed if she did not stop so during a board meeting where nomination for the CEO was to be held, she announced that she was no longer in the running.
Gu Won was upset that she was doing it for him., Later he confronted Do Hee about it and she told him that she just wanted a quiet life. She does not want him to guard her anymore as he cannot even protect himself.
Poor Gu Won was helpless because with his current condition, it was the truth.
Still he we went to find Do Hee to find out why she gave up. He went to see Ju Hyun Hoon who confirmed that she did it for Gu Won.
Gu Won found Do Hee in Madam Ju’s garden. He told her that what makes her happy is what he wanted. So they had to fight. He then kissed her as if there was no tomorrow. Aww.
I think episodes 11 and 12 will be delayed due to SBS Awards ceremony ! Hu hu hu.l

Episode 15
This is tragic. Do Hee saw Noh Seok Min was going to shoot Gu Won so she quickly covered Gu won with her body and got shot to death instead.
Gu Won was totally heartbroken and without much thinking, he chose to bring Do Hee back to live in exchange with his own existence.
As Do Hee became compos mentis in Gu Won’s embrace, he began to disintigrate like Kim Shin (Gong Woo) in Goblin until only his wedding ring was left for Do Hee.
Episode 16
Do Hee was devastated. She was so grief stricken she wanted to die herself but then she realised that she owed Gu Won to live otherwise his sacrifice was for nought.
It was Christmas day. A sad Do Hee went to the seaside when she really learned about Gu Won. Do Hee spoke to the sea what she felt and what she wanted.
She said that she would like to make a wish.. she wants Gu Won back.
Unbeknown to her Noh Suk Nyeo heard her wish and granted it.
The water by the seaside started to form globules of molecules just like when she first met Gu Won.
The Gu Won was in front of her. She asked him if she was dead and in hell.
I have to be honest, I cried a river over this film but I have to qualify this by saying that it was worth it because 2/3 of the film is sweetness and cuteness overload.
The young cast are gorgeous especially, of course, Kim Yoo Jung and the male lead Byeon Woo Seok.
This is a nostalgia for the 90s when mobile phones are still scarce. People read rather than be constantly on the computer.
It started cutely with Yeon Du telling her best friend Na Bo Ra that there was no use going to the state for a heart operation because she had actually lost her heart. She said that she saw a guy while minding their laundrromat. She noticed that he goes to Bo Ra’s school as he was wearing the school uniform. His name was Baek Hyun Jun.
The only way that Yeon Du would go abroad for treatment was when Bora promised her that she will find out everything about Baek Hyun Jun and e-mail Yeon Du everything to her.
So BoRa was on a mission. She stalked Baek Hyun Jun which was noticed by his best friend Pung Woon Ho.
He tackled her about it but she told him that she does not like Baek Hyun Jun but was just interested in him. There is a difference.
Over time and silly circumstances, Baek Hyun Jun confessed to a very shocked BoRa. She told him that it should not happen at all. She enumerated all her bad habits to him including partiality to farting in tune with nursery rhymes. 🤣 She did get embarrassed when she said it and hurriedly left him
She was followed by Woon Ho. BoRa was beginning to realise that she actually liked Woon Ho. She was able to accidentally confess to him that she likes when their class year went on an away day at the seaside to do their project.
The girls were able to smuggle alcohol into their dorm and drink themselves silly. Bora then found herself alone with Woon Ho and drunkenly confessed that she might like him. However, she promptly forgot about it the next day.
But then Woon Ho started pursuing her which made her giddy with excitement especially when he told her that he has a part-time job in the ice cream parlor opposite Bora’s family’s book/video shop which she looked after when not in school. They would often steal glances at one another and look away in excitement.
He confessed to her that he likes when they were sitting under a plum tree. He would have kissed her but a plum falling on her head killed the moment.
When he took her home, he stole a quick kiss from her. They are unofficially into each other.
Baek Hyun Jun became a friend as well and he took Bora for an ice cream where Woon Ho works.
Woon Ho and Baek Hyun Jun were competing for her attention but she suddenly saw someone from outside the parlor. It was her best friend who came back from the states.
BoRa introduced Yeon Du to the guys.
Later, Bora learned a bombshell from Yeon Du. The guy she liked was Woon Ho who she thought was called Baek Hyun Jun.
Bora decided to sacrifice her fledgling feelings for Woon Ho to Yeon Du.
Poor Woon Ho was confused especially when Bora told him that he misunderstood her. She does not really like him.
Poor Woon Ho was gutted. He was about to leave for New Zealand as well to be with his mother and young brother.
Not knowing this, Bora started throwing Woon Ho and Yeon Du together. But then Yeon Du found out from Baek Hyun Jun that Woon Ho and Bora like each other.
Yeon Du was so upset about it and told Bora that she cannot trust her anymore. She said that Bora let a boy come between them. So their friendship was on a break.
One day, Yeon Du pretended to faint. Bora was there beside her in flash and carried her on her back. Yeon Du then told Bora that she was ok. Her heart is as good as new after the operation. But she said that Woon Ho was leaving for New Zealand right that moment and Bora should see him.
Bora was taken by Baek Hyun Ju to the train statation.
Bora saw Woon Ho and finally told him that she likes him. They had a hug.
Woon Ho asked her to wait for him because he won’t be long. He will be coming back. They were both inconsolable as they parted. Both crying but I was crying the hardest.
They had a bittersweet LDR, contacting by email and the occasional phone calls. But then in 2001, Bora suddenly lost contact with Woon Ho. He was not answering or returning calls or answering emails.
So she decided to start going on blind dates because of peer pressure but her first blind date did not end well because the guy’s name was Wang Woon Ho which made Bora cry loudly and rather piteously. Poor Wang Woon Ho was at a loss and embarrassedly told everyone in the restaurant that he had not done anything to upset her.
Years passed Kim Yoo Jung had turned to Han Hyo Joo as an older Bora. The adult Bora was at her parent’s shop when she saw a package addressed to her. It was a ticket to an exhibition and also a VHS enclosed.
Bora went to the exhibition and saw familiar things. Then a guy introduced himself to her. He was the grown-up brother of Woon Ho. He told her that when his brother was alive, yes Woon Ho is dead, all he could talk about was Bora and how much he was looking forward to seeing her again.
Woon Ho died in 2001. His brother decided to do the exhibition because he thought Woon Ho would like Bora to have some closure. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Bora was resigned to it and made her remember all the good times with Woon Ho when she watched the VHS from an old video player.
I love it but it left me feeling hollow after crying so much. Kim Yoo Jung is too adorable for words.
Jo Ye Rin as Ho Ryung (Mountain goddess, palace protector)
Chae Gook Hee as Mi Soo, the female shaman

Episode 1
I was so excited to watch this drama but I was slightly disappointed that Kim Yoo Jung was not in the first episode.
But despite that, it was actually quite a sweet episode for the leads during their younger years.
It started with a blurb that once upon a time, the demons co-existed with humans but before too long the demons became the bane of humans’ existence. So they had to seal in the demon lord into a lifesize painting of the old Emperor.
While this ritual was being actioned, a woman gave birth to a baby boy, alone in a secluded place watched by hungry wolves.
The woman was dying. She prayed fervently to a deity to save her son as the wolves started to advance towards her as they can smell the blood oozing from her after giving birth.
The woman’s last act was to hug her baby to herself as the wolves moved even nearer.
At the last moment, a deity appeared to pick the child up. Looking at the baby fondly, the deity said that she must look for a life partner for him.
Meanwhile, the baby’s father was a shaman with powerful cultivation. He was the one who was able to seal in the demon into the emperor’s painting.
Instead of being feted, he was tortured badly and would have been killed if he did not disappear.
Eight years later…
The Emperor was having a problem. Famine will happen in his kingdom if rain would not come soon.
His new shaman, who is a very ambitious woman said that she had found the old shaman, who has a son with a powerful qi. They could use the son to end the draught.
The old shaman and his son was immediately brought to the Capital
The son was Ha Ran who immediately liked and was protective of a young blind girl, Chun Gi, who was the daughter of Ha Ran’s father’s assistant.
Young love immediately developed between the two children with Chun Gi bossing Ha Ran to steal peaches from a tree for her.
Anyway, at the palace, the Emperor was getting ready for the rain ceremony. Everyone was attending including the Crown Prince and the Grand Prince, who was the brother of the Emperor who has ambition to be the Emperor.
During the ceremony, young Ha Ran was brought in by the pond and he was made to beat a big cauldron as the shaman started her dancing and chanting in keeping with the drum beats.
The Grand Prince left the ceremony and went into the villa where the old Emperor’s painting was being kept. The prince heard someone saying that he must come to him to become the Emperor.
This was all it took for the envious and ambitious Grand Prince to remove the talismans off the painting keeping the demon sealed.
The demon immediately flew like smoke into the ceremony as young Ha Ran was being thrown into the deep pond to his death much to his helpless father’s regret and sorrow as he was being held on by guards.
Meanwhile, young Chun Gi also fell into the pond and would have died if the deity did not save her and Ha Ran.
When the children woke up, Chun Gi can miraculously see while Ha Ran can’t.
The deity said that one day Ha Ran will get his sight back.
Episode 2
The Emperor was enraged that the shaman did not tell him about sacrificing human life.
But she told him that the end justifies the means, that a human sacrifice was necessary to bring forth rain.
The Emperor told her that he would not execute her but she had to leave and never show her face again in his kingdom.
Twenty years later…
The shaman did not leave. She was now under the protection of the Grand Prince, who was biding his time to take over the throne after the emperor’s death. For some reason, the Grand Prince was actually protecting the current emperor.
Anyway, back story, after Ha Ran was fish out of the pond, his father took him home but not for long because the soldiers had come to take Ha Ran back to the palace. They would not allow any opposition so they killed Ha Ran’s father and mother.
Ha Ran became quite an important player in the palace as he is learned, calm and logical. Very suitable adviser to the emperor. He became the palace astrologer.
Meanwhile, young Chung Gi had grown into a very resourceful woman.
She had to because she was the sole breadwinner and caretaker of her father who suffers from dementia. She had been earning money since the age of 8.
Now, she had become a prominent painter, the only able woman painter in the kingdom.
However, she was doing some illegal works to get more money to buy the medicine that she was told was a sure cure for her father’s malady. A Chinese guy had this medicine which cost a lot of money.
Chung Gi did a lot of art reproductions which the clerk at the painting institute passed as the real thing.
Finally, she got the money. With the help of the sales clerk from the painting institute, she was able to buy the golden mini orb which was apparently the dementia cure. She gave all the money to the guy in exchange for the mini golden orb.
She hurried to her father who did not recognise her at all. She gave him his lunch and then presented him with the orb which he willingly swallowed. It almost made her cry when her father pocketed some of the food because he said that his beloved daughter Chung Gi must be hungry.
Anyway, she watched him expectantly to see for any change after taking the medicine.
Nothing. None at all.
But she was not too worried. She will wait.
Days passed, still nothing.
Chun Gi went to the house of the person who sold her the medicine. She overheard him talking to his wife about his regret of having to con a nice girl for a lot of money over fake medicine.
Chun Gi was gutted and found out that the mastermind was the sales clerk at the painting institute.
So she reported the art forgeries at the art shop to the soldiers who ransacked the place and found the forgeries which Chun Gi ensured to have subtle little images to differentiate it from the original.
The man was arrested but he had some influential friends which helped him to be pardoned and let out in no time.
The man and his cohorts hunted Chun Gi, who was running for her life and in desperation jumped into a passing palanquin.
It so happens that the palanquin was already occupied by a handsome man with the most beautiful eyes according to Chun Gi.
The man was surprised how she found his eyes beautiful when others discriminate over him because they think he has demonic eyes.
Chun Qi said that au contraire, his eyes are radiant.
Anyway, he was Ha Ran which Chun Gi still does not know.
But she said that she was being chased and harassed by bad people who sold her fake drugs for so much money and probably through the instigation of Wolseongdang of Wooljongga who is a bad man.
Ha Ran was enjoying her endless chatter and that she did not know that he was Wolseongdang.
Unfortunately, their time together was cut short when he fell into her as the palanquin started rocking due to the uneven road.
Touching Chun Gi made the butterfly tattoo on Ha Ran’s neck be activated.
He told Chun Gi to get out of the palanquin and go home. She did not have any choice as he almost chucked her out.
Ha Ran inside the palanquin was metamorphosing into something dark and demonic. His power was such, it catapulted him to the top of a tree nearby. He had turned into a dark demon and said that Ha Ran was unlucky to have left the palace on the night when his butterfly seal was broken during the winter solstice.
Ha Ran was taken over by the water demon who had zeroed in on Chun Gi and said he found his eyes.
Whoa, really loved this episode.
BTW can he have another naked torso of Ha Ran in the next episode, please?!!!
Episode 3
I love this drama so much. Kim Yoo Jung is was so adorable.
The Emperor heard the cacophony of hootings made by a parliament of owls in the palace ground.
The Emperor said that it is widely believed that the owls were prolocutors of wronged spirits and this is worrying.
Meanwhile, in Inwang mountain, the guards were killed and incinerated by the water demon who then went to search for Chun Gi, who at that time was being waylaid by the butterfly deity who had become the guardian of both Haran and Chun Gi.
Chun Gi, however, was determined to get home at the institute before her teacher found out that she was still out.
The butterfly deity can’t really delay her any longer.
The water demon finally found Chun Gi and was about to pluck out her eyes when time seemed to stand still. Then there was a glowing huge tiger who turned into a young deity, the mountain goddess of Inwang.
She told the water demon that he was trespassing in her territory and wanted him to be gone.
He tried to ignore her but he was in her territory where she rules. So after so my beautiful CGI of a luminous tiger beating up a black smokey water demon, Ho Ryung, the Mountain deity flung him on a tree where he was immediately tied in animated twigs, roots, and branches.
Then, the water demon once again disappeared from Haran, who then fell down on top of Chun Gi.
Chun Gi was annoyed at first but when she realised that the man on top of her was the handsome palanquin man, she made sure that he was alive.
She then carried/dragged the unconscious Haran on her back to the empty Inwang ink institute where she made him comfortable on that cold winter night.
She woke up later sleeping next to him. She apologised profusely for taking advantage of his warmth but she got worried when he woke up and then fainted once again. She decided to get a doctor.
But when she got to the institute, her teacher put her under lock and key when she explained that she found an unconscious handsome guy.
Her teacher thought she was too boy-mad. BTW, the teacher should encourage her to be boy-mad and get married because at this point she is at least 28 years old.
Anyway, the palace and the princes found out that Supervisor Ha (Haran) had been missing in the mountain and send their people to investigate the deaths of the guards who first went looking for him.
Prince Joo Yang brought Mi Soo with him and said that the guards were definitely killed by the water demon.
Finally Chun Gi was able to convince Joo Daek to help her.
Together with a medicine doctor, they quickly went back to the mountains but they saw a lone rider ahead of them.
It was Man Soo who heard the whistle from the now conscious Ha Ran.
Ha Ran was gratified that Man Soo had turned up but told him to hide when they heard Chun Gi running towards them.
Ha Ran was happy she was back as she reminded so much of his first love, the girl with the plum blossoms.
Chun Gi was equally happy to see him up and about.
Ha Ran asked her for her name rather urgently.
She said shyly … Hong… Hong …Hong.
So he said could it be Hong Hong Hong?!!!
She gave a little giggle and said Hong Chun Gi.
Ha Ran was surprised because that girl he used to know was also called Hong Chun Gi.
Could they be the same girl?!!!
So cute.
Episode 4
Episode 5
Episode 6
It was found that Chun Gi was the divine painter the Emperor had been looking for.
Aww cute, they finally reconciled as Ha ram and Chungi. Awww and they had a kiss but it activated his water demon persona.
Because of this he told her to forget him, he was not the boy she knew from childhood.
