I have noticed that the different types of love blogs here is very popular and got me thinking that perhaps I should add a blog for the different types of kisses as well.
And as by synchronicity, it is the International Kissing Day today. Wow. how apt is that for a topic.
Anyway here goes the many types of kisses.
Which one is your favourite?!!!
Air Kiss is also sometimes called the Hollywood kiss. It is a pretend kiss on the cheeks often accompanied with “How are you?” “Mwah Mwah” “Dahling”
Angel Kiss starts with a kiss on the cheeks which gently progress through little kisses ending on the eyelids of a partner.
Butterfly kiss is a follow up to a regular kiss, when the couple would look at one other closely, so close that they eye lashes would touch and flutter.
Candy kiss is where a person puts a sweet/candy inside her mouth and enticingly challenge her partner to take the candy out by using his mouth and tongue only. I know of someone who put strawberry in his girlfriend’s mouth and he would then eat it out of her mouth. Greedy lol!
Continental Kiss – is like an air kiss but more sincere. Of course it is European in origin.
This kiss is bestowed to their friends to say hello or goodbye or hello and goodbye ;). This is platonic and therefore a man can give this to another man ala Milliband and Kouchner on the photo. This is a friendly kiss on both cheeks.
Cordial Kiss – a couple taking a sip from their wine and then kiss and exchange liquid. Nice!!!
Cup kiss is when a kisser cups the face of the partner gently prior to a kiss. All so romantic, very Hollywood.
Eskimo kiss is really not a kiss. Partners stand a breath apart and then rub their noses together.
French Kiss also called Soul Kiss – is commonly known as a proper snog or snogging is an open mouth kiss involving lots of tongue action.

Hickey Kiss . The mouth is put against a partner’s neck and then suck for at least 30 seconds, leaving a mark called a hickey or a kiss mark.
Kiss of Death – is like air kiss where there is an inherent danger to befall the kissed one, like the Mafia kissing someone who was marked for death.
Surprise Kiss – unexpected, out of the blue kiss.
Judas’ kiss
Judas’ Kiss: according to the Bible, the kiss with which Judas identified Jesus. Sometimes the kissed and the kisser both know that it is a kiss of betrayal.
Apparently there are more to kissing that what we have been led to believe.

1. By kissing you swap spit, mucus, viruses, hormones and upto a billion bacteria. (enough to stop kissing for life)
2. Ah but listen to this, swapping spit has some possitive effect for you. It is good for your teeth.
3. Through kissing men pass some of their hormones to women. The testosterone makes women desire sex. So kissing is aprodisiac.
4. Did you know that kisssing did not originate from romantic notions? Apparently it has more to do with mothers pre-chewing food for their little ‘uns, like birds to their chicks.
5. This is goodnews, it has been found that men you kiss their wives before going to work each morning would live 5 years longer that those who don’t. Get kissing the missus!!!
6. Kissing is like a drug, it release dopamine which stimulate a part of the brain just like when taking cocaine! (? No experience with this one)
7. Apparently, this one is hard to take in – I am really struggling with this one, you don’t catch cold through kissing.
With all the above, you can’t have too many kisses in your life.
