Tomorrow, the British public will go to their respective polling stations to cast their ballot votes to elect a new Government for the UK.
Please, if you have registered, do not waste your chance to make a difference (what kind? I do not know), GO OUT AND VOTE.
In our neck of the woods, North London, the Labour Party have certainly made their mark. They are everywhere; their party placards are the only ones that have been visibly posted in front gardens, front windows, in shops, in buildings, etc. Their candidates and helpers have been so tireless and sometimes tiresome in their campaigns. They have been so regimental in their pursuit of election. They are everywhere, forever knocking on doors, postings leaflets, sending out letters like Delia above.
Two weeks ago, when our son, Stacey and Nathan came to visit us for the day, a Labour came knocking up our door. When Peter said that he did not have time to talk for the moment as family is visiting the Labour looked annoyed as if about to say, country first before family. Peter just shut the door on his face.
Politicians, I think you have lost the right to say “doing things for your country” because Politicians never do since history and time immemorial. They promised everything at the onset and then as soon as they get elected, they instantly suffer from memory lost and amnesia.
Liberal Democrats on the other hand, had been inundating me with emails asking for money/donation to top up their campaign funds. Huh?!!! Why not give me money instead or a holiday voucher for my vote?!!! LOL. Tsk tsk tsk You could certainly learn from the Philippines for the ultimate vote entrepreneurship! LMAO! 😉
Tory has been very conservative. 😉 They’ve only sent us one letter, addressed and personally delivered to the Morton Family!
Of UKIP, we had not heard anything. No emails, no letters, no billboards, no placards, nothing!
As Manny Pacquiao would have said, using his now famous double negatives:
