Episode 1
Princess Yan Yan was a happy confident princess who was on the verge of first love with Zuo Zichen.
She is adored by her parents and her brother and her greatest confidante and maid Aman.
She was trying to sneak into Zuo Zichen’s manor when she saw his father commanding an army of ninja warriors.
Episode 2
Zuo Zichen’s father saw her and went personally to chase after her. She was saved from being killed by an immortal, who at first debated with himself if he should help her or not as immortals should really let the human race get on by themselves.
But seeing how brave and yet helpless the young princess was, he used his guzheng to send powerful energy to stop the army.
Yan Yan managed to get away and ran into the street leading to the palace. Along the way, she saw bodies scattered on the street. She was particularly upset when she saw her maid Aman among them.
Episode 3
Princess Yan Yan saw her father, mother, and brother killed by the soldiers of Zichen’s father led by his older brother.
She was going to be the next one to be killed but the arrival of Zichen saved her at first. But her heartbreak drove her to use her own sword to slash Zichen in the face to his eyes.
Despite being blinded, Zichen prevented his guards from attacking Yan Yan.
She was taken by her shifu (teacher) on huge his flying.
Yan Yan managed to take a dying Aman with her.
Alas their haven was also surrounded by Zichen’s father’s guards. Aman stood up to take the blade of a sword being aimed at Yan Yan.
I must say Aman had suffered so many stabbing and yet she lived until this final one.
But yes, she lived again or sort of.
Yan Yan, determined to revenge her family, Aman and her people begged her Shifu to teach her sorcery. She asked him how to get rid of the evil that lurks in her kingdom as well as the whole world.
Shifu said that she has to light the Spiritual Lamp.
Xiangqu Mountain is where the Spiritual Lamp is situated.
And the princess had now become Qin Chuan who was a carbon copy of Aman.
Episode 4
Er Meng, Qin Chuan’s rather simple betrothed had become rather devoted to her.
Xiangqu Mountain became a hub of activity because two important guests were about to arrive.
They were Xuan Zhu and Zichen.
Zichen was now blind because of Princess Yan Yan striking him with her sword in a fit of revenge for her massacred family.
Xuan Zhu heard that the Suzerain of Qiangqu Mountain was capable of restoring the eyesight of Zichen.
Despite being blinded Zichen seemed to be magnetised by Qin Chuan. He seemed to know where she was every time she was nearby.
This also happened when she passed him by a bridge. He stopped her and in her nervousness, she dropped her watering jade vase.
She then tried to run off but Zichen fell and hurt his hand on the shards of the broken jade vase.
Qin Chen did not really have any choice but to help the blind Zichen. He asked her to bring him back to his lodging as he had lost his bearings.
She took him to his room and saw to his injured hand.
Zichen then said that she was so familiar to him and before she could really say much he said that he would like to see her and he started running his fingers and hand into her face. They looked rather intimate when Xuan Zhu and Mistress Qing Qing appeared.
Qing Qing was so annoyed thinking that Qin Chuan was seducing their important guest.
Zichen immediately told Qing Qing to stop. He said that Qin Chuan had been so very kind bringing him back and had been helping him.
Xuan Zhu also told Qing Qing that there was no harm down.
But Qing Qing ignored this because he had Qin Chuan arrested.
Er Merng turned up with Immortal Juyian.
Qin Chuan for the first time was happy to see him but she was told that he could not just get her out of jail because she seemed to have offended the favourite disciple of the Suzerain.
Anyway, Juyian said that he could get her out but what would he get from her in return.
Qin Chuan said her month salary and all her money plus she was his, or rather she would do anything he says.
Er Meng was not very happy with it but he wanted Qin Chuan to get out of jail.
Anyway, Juyian said that Qin Chuan had to pack her thing as she was moving in with him as his maid.

Juyian sent Chuan to Zichen to be his personal maid.
A reluctant Chuan began to settle looking after the more amiable Zichen.
Episode 8
Zichen likes having Chuan to look after him as she seemed to remind him of Yan Yan. So he said to Xuanzhu that he would like to restore his eyesight.
Xuanzhu invited Chuan to witness the unraveling of the cloth that binds Zichen eyes post spiritual surgery by the Suzerain.
Chuan noticed immediately that Zichen was not at all interested in her when he could see. He ever really looked at Xuanzhu.
When he finally looked at Chuan, he thanked her but dismissed her like the maid that she was.
Chuan felt betrayed once again and got very upset.
What she did not know was that Xuanzhu had asked the Suzerain to delete memories of Yan Yan and Chuan from his mind.
Chuan was sulking in her room when Jiyuan appeared. Telling her to pack her things as she was going back with him.
He said that she is still his favourite maid of all.
Episode 9
Xuanzhu had been revealed as the true spy for the Dragon King of White River.
Xuanzhu begged Chuan to ensure that Zichen is sent to safety before war breaks out in Xiangqu Mountain.
Chuan used her paper spell to create a roaring tiger to get Zichen out to safety.
Zichen asked Chuan to go with him but she declined as she was determined to get the Spiritual Lamp at whatever cost.
The Suzerain was on top form and overcoming all the cultivation thrown at him by the Dragon King.
Episode 10
But not for long especially when the Dragon King changed into his true form of being a white dragon. In the end, the dragon incinerated the Suzerain, which cut his bind to Zichen, who started remembering Yan Yan and Chuan being the real Yan Yan.
Meanwhile, Chuan got to the Xiangqu Cave and managed to take the Spirit Lamp with her. But the cave started shaken and a falling rock would have killed her if not for Er Meng throwing himself to cover her.
Er Meng though was not the simple-minded guy he purported to be. He is actually a prince pretending to be an idiot. He pasted a spell on her which disabled her. She can’t move and talk so Er Meng was free to take the Spirit Lamp away from her.
He said that he did really want to marry her. He said that they may never meet again.
Lucky for Chuan, Bai Jing Zi turned up.
As they both wanted to see Jiuyun again, they decided to stay together to look or wait for Jiuyun to turn up.
Meanwhile, Bai Jing Zi wanted to help Chuan to look for the Spirit Lamp, which was important to Jiuyun.
Chuan deducted that Er Meng would have gone to Lingyu Village.
Er Meng was being welcomed by his brother, the Crown Prince, who reminded him to attend the Ghost Festival as ordered by their father.
Episode 11
Mr Bai was made up to look like Mrs Zhou to infiltrate the mansion of the second prince.
Mr Bai as Mrs Zhou was caught snooping by the Second Prince. So he was testing her telling her that she should keep the Spiritual Lamp as her house.
Episode 12
The Second Prince caught Mr Bai for pretending as Mrs Zhou and would have disfigured his face if the Crown Prince did not turn up.
Chuan was getting worried about Mr Bai so she went dressed as masked ninja to the Second Prince mansion to look for Mr Bai. Who she saw was the Crown Prince, who killed her parents and clan.
The Crown Prince saw her looking at him. He chased on on the roof and on land. He was going to shoot her with an arrow when someone tugged her out of the way.
It was the Second Prince. He saved her and told her that it would be dangerous for her to go immediately and kept er in hiding. Somehow he got a ready-made dressed ninja to fight with as seen by the Crown Prince.
He then we to find Chuan and introduced himself officially as the Second Prince also known as Ermeng.
He said that he was going to throw a party and he would then help her to sneak out.
Chuan found out that the Second Prince has a good reputation with the people including the remaining Li Clan. They said that the Second Prince had given them a roof over their heads.
But the Crown Prince made good of his threat to round up the Li people and then kill them.
Chuan went to rescue her people alone which was of course foolhardy.
Fu Jiuyuan saw what was happening. He witnessed the Crown Prince throttling Chuan. He came from within the giant mirror and saved Chuan.
Meanwhile the Second Prince also came to the crown prince camp. They saw the tired body of the nasty Crown Prince.
He used the lamp to contain the Crown Prince but the lamp exploded. He knew that the real lamp was still somewhere out there.
Episode 13
Chuan and Fu Jiuyuan had a romantic reunion. Wel Jiuyuan was romantic but Chuan was not reciprocating his overtures because she was so focused on the sad fate of the Li Clan.
Episode 14
Fu Jiuyuan brought Chuan to the top of the mountain where he spent hundred of years. Fu JIuyuan tried to convince Chuan to grab happiness for herself. The fate of the Lis, her father and mother had always been out of her hands. She does not need to beat herself about it.
On the contrary, Chuan said she had everything to do about it. She is the princess of Li.
But on a lighter mode which did not last long, Chuan asked Fu Jiuyuan if he was crushing on her.
He said no, he was in love with her.
She said she does not feel the same thing for him because she is the bloody Princess of Li with responsibility with no time for love.
Go on, he is bloody gorgeous. Forget the dead people, get on with your own life. LOL
Anyway, he told Chuan that he has the spirit lamp all along, he switched a fake one for the real one so Chuan does not get hurt.
She was so furious she threw a paper tiger at him which turned into an animated paper tiger and bit him in the chest.
Chuan was alarmed and told him off from not evading it.
He just told her instead that he won’t give her the sprit lamp anymore because she lacks self-control, she will be harmful to everyone.
Chuan though took Fu Jiuyuan in her arms and into a cottage to get him well again.
He then had a bath and they ended up kissing. Awww
They do look so good together. I hope they do another drama together. A modern drama would be so cute.
I have to admit I am fast-forwarding the scenes of the second leads. Borrrinnnnng
Episode 15
Chuan fed Fu Jiuyuan with delicious food infused with alcohol and drugs which would make him sleep for a few days.
She then took his spirit lamp and left. She did leave him a paper nanny.
Chuan had turned badass because she has so many things to do in order to invoke the spirit lamp.
After making a blood compact with the lamp, she had to collect three demonic spirits from her revenge note in order to properly kicktrt the lamp.
Episode 16
Her first victim was Chancellor Zou, father of Zichen. They were having a party in the woods where Chuan shoot the chancellor with her spirit arrow.
Episode 17
Zichen went on revenge mode for the death of his father. He is now patroling with the Crown Prince (CP). Their first stop was the famous painter based in the middle of a forest. Young ladies were queueing to get their portrait painted.
Even Chuan wanted to know.
His fame was trending which made the CP curious and visited him.
The artist was of course, Fu Jiuyuan, who was wearing an ancient and prototype Louis Vuitton mask, LOL.
The CP wanted Jiuyuan to remove his mask so Jiuyuan changed his appearance to his best friend.
Anyway, the CP was satisfied that he was not Jiuyuan.
Chuan was at the ready to take a shot at the CP when a little boy interrupted to tell her that she could see the painter.
The child was actually Jiuyuan.
Episode 18
Chuan met Jiuyuan again. She found out that he was a painter.
