Episode 1
It started with a clever scene. The way they angled the camera and the way they spliced the dialogue, you’d think that Xu Yi Ren was on a date with Fang Zhi Yu.
But actually, Yi Ren was on a date with her boyfriend Gao Ming. While Fang Zhi Yu was with an investor who started flirting with him. She asked him how she looks.
He said that she looks like a huge aubergine whose plastic surgery did not work. He ended up with a glass of water poured over him.
This scene shocked YiRen and Gao MIng.
They just got to the elevator when Fang Zhi Yu joined them. Gao Ming suddenly got a call. He started talking in French to another girl on the phone.
Fang Zhi Yu just could not take the lies so he told Yi Ren what was going on. That Gao Ming was cheating on her.

Episode 6
Fang Zhi Yu fired Yi Ren because she lied to him about going to the hospital because of her best friend, Xia Di, when in fact she went to see Gao Ming, her ex-boyfriend.
Episode 7
Yi Ren was rehired by Fang Zhi Yu after one of their colleagues confessed that she inadvertently erased the presentation to their investors for a new project. It was not Yi Ren’s fault.
It might not be Yi Ren’s fault but Yuwen, who originally recruited her as the assistant to the finickity Fang Zhi Yu, was unhappy that she was back.
Yuwen noticed that Fang Zhi Yu had changed because of Yi Ren and she was not happy about it. She was jealous.
One of her colleagues saw Yi Ren helping Fang Zhi Yu into his car as he was suffering from acute gastroenteritis.
The colleague then started spreading gossip about seeing them dating.
Episode 8
Yi Ren was really bothered about the gossip, she pretended to be ill when Fang Zhi Yu asked her to go with him to a meeting.
Episode 9
This is a cute episode. The leads have lovely chemistry, I must say.
Anyway, there is an ongoing mystery between Zhi Yu and Li Zhe and Yi Ren might be a part of it.
This mystery is giving Zhi Yu nightmare and Li Zhe feeling vengeful towards Zhi Yu.
Li Zhe was also looking for a little girl he met in the forest when he was still a boy, The girl was crying because she had lost her mom. Li Zhe’s only clue for the girl as a red hair clip.
Anyway, Young Li Zhe came home one day and found his father and mother tried to commit suicide.
He seemed to blamed Zhi Yu for it.
And Zhi Yu was feeling guilty that he bought Li Zhe’s old family mansion and gave it back to him.
Li Zhe would not take it for free and wrote a check for 5M to Zhi Yu although the mansion was worth 4M.
He then warned Zhi Yu that he will take everything that matters to him. His company Squares and Circles and Yi Ren.
It looks like it would be easier to take the company than Yi Ren because she told Li Zhe that she knew there was something going on between Zhi Yu and him. She concluded that whatever that was and even Zhi Yu was in the wrong, she would always side with Zhi Yu.
Li Zhe was rather regretful that Yi Ren did not meet him first. But it looks like that the little girl Li Zhe was looking for was Yi Ren.
Episode 10
Yi Ren was the girl.
But Li Zhe does not know yet as the principal at the elementary school was away on holiday in Thailand.
Anyway, Yuwen asked her father’s right-hand man, Qiming, to find a company that could build a 3D of Square & Circle’s Moon Bay Design Project.
Qiming suggested Dasheng and arranged for Mr Qi of Dasheng to meet Zhi Yu and Yuwen to dinner/discussion.
Unfortunately, Zhi Yu got stranded with Yi Ren at Moon Bay because of flat tire.
Yuwen had to go by herself to dinner with Dasheng.
In the background Li Zhe had told Mr Qi to string Square & Circle along. Poor Yuwen was forced to drink shots after shots after shots.
She was so drunk, Qiming had to help her to bed afterwards.
While Zhi Yu and YiRen had a rather romantic evening overlooking a starry sky.
Episode 11
Zhi Yu and and YiRen were back at work and so was Yuwen who was not feeling good.
Yuwen at first refused to go to the hospital but Yi Ren told her a catastrophic story about a friend who refused to go to the hospital with stomach pain. Yuwen got frightened enough to be persuaded to seek medical attention.
Yi Ren told Zhi Yu that YuWen was in the hospital. He showed up immediately and Yi Ren noticed that they are quite intimate.
Anyway, it was the day that they had to go to Dasheng regarding the Moon Bay project.
After waiting for a long time, the assistant of Mr Li turned up to announced that Dasheng was dropping their project.
Yuwen was annoyed and said that Mr Qi had signed a contract.
The assistant said that Mr Qi had been transferred.
Mr Li then turned up and it was Li Zhe who said that they will pay the cancellation fee with Square & Circle.
Square & Circle was back to square one. They need to have a 3-D model of the project for clients and investors.
YiRen thought she could persuade Li Zhe but he said he turned her request down flat. He then told her over dinner never to contact him about Square & One again.
Li Zhe called Zhiyu not to send YiRen to beg.
ZhiYu told YiRen never to contact Li Zhe
YiRen said that LiZhe is her friend as well but she agreed anyway.
Now they had to do the project in a different way.
Episode 12
Yi Ren had become homeless when her landlady sold her apartment.
Zhi Yu’s young sister heard about it and forcefully asked her to move in with her brother and her in the interim while she was looking for another apartment.
Zhi Yu and his young sister enjoy having Yi Ren in the house because she cooks like a dream.
Yuwen was very upset with Zhi Yu for keeping it from her that he knew Li Zhe very well.
Li Zhe met up with Yi Ren. He invited her to lunch and promised that he might changed his mind about Square & Circle.
During lunch, Li Zhe divulged all the gory details why his best friend Zhi Yu had become his mortal enemy.
Apparently Li Zhe and Zhi Yu are best friends and their family where quite friend as well, that is until Li Zhe’s dad got into trouble in his company.
Li Zhe and Zhi Yu begged Zhi Yu’s father to help Li Zhe’s dad.
Zhi Yu’s dad is a very prominent corporate lawyer so with the instigation of Li Zhe, his father gave all his documents to Li Zhe’s father.
But during the trial, Zhi Yu’s dad used the documents to convict Li Zhe’s father because he was the barrister for the other party. And it did not end there because their family and reputation was ruined, Li Zhe’s father and mother committed suicide, his mother died instantly while his father lived but developed dementia.
Li Zhe was not the only one affected because Zhi Yu developed a condition were he can’t abide lying of all forms.
Episode 13
Yi Ren started working with Sun Zi Ying secretly on the 3D modeling of the Moon Bay project.
Zhi Yu noticing that she was gone went to look for her. He heard her and Zi Ying talking about so tired and it sounded rather clandestine.
Zhi Yu surprised them but he got surprised instead when he found them with their secret project.
Zhi Yu was impressed with their endeavor so he allowed them to work in the open for it as it would be a good option for the Moon Bay Project.
Yi Ren got carried away with the 3D modeling she forgot to attend her driving lesson. She told her instructor that she had hurt her hand.
She did not know that LI Zhe was there waiting for her and was really concerned that she was ill.
He sent her flowers in the office which rather embarrassed her. He then turned up and took her for a coffee.
Zhi Yu was looking for her and was told that she was with the flower giver.
Li Zhe asked Yi Ren if she asked Zhi Yu about what he had told her.
Yi Ren confirmed that she did but she believed that Zhi Yu did not betray him and they should sit up together and clean their misunderstanding.
Li Zhe was a bit disappointed with Yi Ren for still siding with Zhi Yu, who interrupted them and dragged Yi Ren away for socialising during office hours.
When they were alone, Zhi Yu scolded Yi Ren for ignoring his advice not to see or have anything to do with Li Zhe.
Yi Ren said that who she sees is her personal thing. It has really nothing to do with Zhi Yu.
Zhi Yu half confessed of what he really feels for Yi Ren when he admitted that he was jealous.
This rather confused and frightened Yi Ren. She was out of the building as soon as office hours were over which her officemates thought was not very like her.
Poor Zhi Yu learned that Yi Ren had gone. He texted her what she would like for dinner but she said she was eating out with Xia Di. He then asked what time she was coming as he was going to pick her up.
Yi Ren said that she was going to be late and she will get a taxi when she’s ready.
Unfortunately for Yi Ren Xia Di was out with Guo Bo who she was cheering up.
Guo Bo was being treated like a nobody in the office. He wan not being tasked with anything and he was depressed.
Episode 14 -15
Square & Circle won the contract for Moon Bay which was helped by the 3D model of the complex.
LiZhe heard about it and invited Yi Ren immediately to dinner.
The stupid girl agreed despite knowing that Zhi Yu had already arranged a dinner for the team with Yi Ren as the special guest for her input with the 3D model.
To annoy Zhi Yu, she even arranged to meet Li Zhe to the same restaurant. Li Zhe did not want to talk about Zhi Yu but wanted Yi Ren to consider him.
She had to explain later to Zhi Yu that she went to meet Li Zhe because he said he would like to talk about Zhi Yu.
Guo Bo who decided to resign came back when Zhi Yu told him that he was not so stupid as he thought. He was just too inexperienced and too impulsive.
Guo Bo advised Zhi Yu to up his ante with Yi Ren. Perhaps he should kiss her.
And he did. She responded at first but she ran off afterwards.
Yi Ren then went to see Xia Di, who was with Guo Bo, who sent a photo of Yi Ren with Xia Di deep in conversation.
Zhi Yu told Guo to eavesdrop and tell him what they were talking about.
Guo Bo said that all he heard was that Zhi Yu kissed her.
Zhi Yu’s sister heard the conversation of Zhi Yu and Guo Bo. She was so mature for her age and showed him to. She told her brother that he should have confessed to Yi Ren first before kissing her.
The next morning, Yi Ren skulked into the office, not wanting to be noticed by Zhi Yu.
She got a call from Li Zhe insisting to see her outside.
She can’t really turn him down despite Zhi Yu looking daggers at her.
Li Zhe was excited to see her and was about to tell her something when Zhi Yu appeared and pulled Yi Ren to him, telling Li Zhe that Yi Ren was his girlfriend.
Li Zhe was gobsmacked. He did not expect it.
But he told Yi Ren that he should have told him who he was immediately. This is rather sad.
Episode 16
This is a cute episode.
Yi Ren and Zhi Yu finally got together and he is very touchy-feely.
Yi Ren had to beg him to keep quiet about their relationship for now.
He said it would be hard because he never lies. But he will try for her after she explained to him that she might get bullied or treated differently now that she was going out with the boss.
Poor Li Zhe was drinking his heart out when Yuwen, who happened to be at the bar, told him that he might have a chance with Yi Ren.
Li Zhe said to her that he knows Yuwen had been in love with Zhu Yu for the longest time but she is wasting her time because Yi Ren and Zhi Yu are already in a relationship.
Yuwen was shocked and annoyed.

Episode 19
Liang Jie’s character as Yi Ren is almost a copy of her Jia Xin in You’re My Destiny. Both are absolutely annoying, doormats and downtrodden, no personality.
Anyway, Zhi Yu saw the little bird Yi Ren got given when she was a little girl by her rescuer when she got lost during a school trip in the mountain.
Zhi Yu immediately knew that it was Li Zhe who rescued her.
To double-check, Zhi Yu said they had to hear it from the horse’s mouth and find Li Zhe.
Li Zhe said he was on his way to her uncle’s flat with her cousin.
When Yi Ren and Zhi Yu got to the apartment block, Yi Ren told Zhi Yu to stay in the car as Li Zhe might go mental upon seeing him.
Her cousin saw the bird that Yi Ren was holding and took her aside and begged Yi Ren to pretend that it was the cousin who was rescued by Li Zhe.
At first Yi Ren declined but the cousin used emotional blackmail which worked everytime with Yi Ren.
Yi Ren took her frustration out with Zhi Yu when he asked her how Li Zhe reacted.
She said that Li Zhe was not the boy and she got angry when Zhi Yu would not have it because of the bird.
They were still arguing when her Uncle found them. Her uncle was as shocked as Zhi Yu that she had not told her family about her having a boyfriend.
Episode 20
Yi Ren was so annoyed with Zhi Yu she did not go home but spent the night with Xia Di.
The next morning, Zhi Yu was not talking to her.
Despite them having a fight, when Yuwen turned up at Zhi Yu’s house drunk and wanted to know who would he choose between her and Yi Ren, Zhi Yu said that Yi Ren is his girlfriend and warned Yuwen that she should not say anything anymore that they both might regret.
YuWen was so annoyed she contacted Li Zhe to say that she was ready to accept his offer if it is still going. They will band together to take down Zhi Yu.
Meanwhile, Yi Ren asked Zhi Yu’s sister to keep her brother out of the house so she could sneak in and collect her things.
She was packing hurriedly when Zhi Yu turned up and won’t let her go.
They made up.
Episode 21
This is when Yi Ren and Zhi Yu slept together. They had a night of fireworks in and out of the bedroom. 🙂
