Quick Precis
Jiang Tian was an interior designer who just moved to Beijing. Life was good until her boyfriend suddenly disappeared without notice.
This situation led her to meet Fang Juanqing’s mother Wu Jingfang.
Wu Jingfang was about to retire from being a teacher in middle school when all her hopes and dreams of easy retirement life came into naught. Her son had left her many IOUs to settle.

Episode 1
I like the first episode. I enjoyed it.
Anyway, Jiang Tian was suddenly transferred but some says demoted to a provincial branch to make way for the Director’s girlfriend who was promoted to Chief Designer.
It so happened that the branch Jiang Tian was transferred to was in her hometown.
But when she got home, she found an older woman moving in. It turned out that her father rented their house to Miss Wu. Her father told her that the house was sitting empty all the time as Jiang Tian only comes home once in a blue moon.
Miss Wu refused to leave instead she agreed to share the house with Jiang Tian.
With not much choice, Jiang Tian agreed reluctantly.
It turned out that they may also share some other things.
Jiang Tian ex-boyfriend, Zhou Ye Wen, who had now moved back to their hometown happens to be Miss Wu’s nephew.
Miss Wu decided to go back being employed. She was turned down for most of the job she applied for because she was 60. Then during an open interview at Jiang Tian’s new work placement, Miss Wu turned up.

Poor Zhou Ye Wen felt unsettled when he found out that Jiang Tian’s boyfriernd had come to town.
Fang Yuan Qing proposed to Jiang Tian which she accepted but her father was so reluctant because he was blindsighted. In four years that Jiang Tian had been dating Fang Yuan Qing, his daughter never really mentioned nor introduced him.
It also came out that Fang Yuan Qing has no money and can’t afford to buy a house for Jiang Tian.
It turned out, ut is a very shirt engagement because Jiang Tian found out that he was cheating on her.
Mr Qian is the most unbearable client. He kept changing his mind and then discontented with it.
Episode 7
Jiang Tian could not take it anymore, she called Mr Qian stupid after he questioned her design again.
This meant she became unemployed and so did Miss Wu who chose to leave the architectural firm,
Jiang Tian’s father rallied the family to keep Jiang Tian busy. So they started asking Jiang Tian to renovate and design their houses.
Episode 8
This help from her father did not go well with Jiang Tian because she found out her aunt expected to do the job for free.
She then asked her father why he allowed them to be treated like doormats as long as she could remember.
Her father explained that their house was actually owned by her aunt and then had never nor asked to pay a cent for rent.
Episode 9
Jiang Tian got a commission to renovate the house of her schoolmate. But it was proving to be a problem as Wang Kehan thinks she was overpricing everything from the materials to labour.
Episode 10
The job with Wang Kehan fell through.
Anyway, Jiang Tian was called by her aunt for lunch. Jiang Tian formally apologised to her aunt. She then broached the subject of buying the house herself but it would take her a year to get the money.
Episode 11
Jiang Tian and Miss Wu made a deal. If Ms Wu could sign up a new client, Jiang Tian would formally make Ms Wu her assistant.
So Ms Wu thought of a way to get as many client as she can. She went to the a Blind date corner.
Episode 12, 13, 14 & 15
Jiang Tian and Miss Wu got their first client. A young couple with minimal budget.
Even Miss Wu was rather shock when Jiang Tian accepted the commission as they will hardly make any money.
It turned out that Miss Wu was right because the project was a problem from the get go.
The contracted they hired to carry out the renovation fomr Jiang Tian’s design run off with the money.
As they can’t pay the workers, they vandalised the almost finished apartment leaving everything in tatters.
Of course, Jiang Tian had to cover everything and when they finally cornered Mr Ma, the contractor who gave them a sad story about paying this debts as they had been hounding him and his young family.
Jiang Tian easily forgave him much to Miss Wu annoyance and shock.
Now, Jiang Tian was almost penniless so she had to let Miss Wu go as she cannot afford to pay her a salary.
Jiang Tian’s father gave her a debit card where he had save 150,000Rmb for Jiang Tian’s wedding.
Episode 16 -17
To all intent and purposes, Jiang Tian had closed her Studio 33 but they found a new client. A family who where fighting against each other to stay in a small house.
Episode 18 -23
I feel like there is something wrong with Jiang Tian’s father’s health.
Episode 24
Lin Xiaoxiao found out that her ex-husband who she still adore had gotten married to someone else. To her heartbreak, he even took prenup photos which he was not enthusiastic to do when they got married.
She was so heartbroken, she went to a bar to drown her sorrow. She was quite drunk and the bar tender was refusing to serve her anymore when Zheng Qian turned up. He offered to bring her home but she declined saying that she could not go home to face her mother. Instead, she said that she would like to check in to the hotel which so happens they were standing in front of.
Zheng Qian who was slightly merry himself was looking after her when she grabbed him and kissed him deeply thinking that he was her ex.
Zheng Qian tried to resist at first but Xiaoxiao was insistent. The next morning they felt so awkward but Zheng Qian told her that he would take responsibility of her but Xiaoxiao said that they were both adult, there is no need to feel guilty about anything.
Xiaoxiao felt sad though because Zheng Qian is her good friend and being with him will be awkward now.
Meanwhile, Ms Wu met her husband to dissolve their marriage. She was sad and her husband was sad and feeling guilty as well because they had been together for 40 years. Ms Wu good not give him children so in later life he found someone who could.
Episode 25
Finally, there was some movement in Jiang Tian and Zhou Yewen relationship. They’ve started dating again.
Meanwhile, Xiaoxiao and Zheng Qian hardly saw each other anymore and when they did, there were so awkward.
Studio 33 is doing well with back to back projects. They have long time cooperation with a good carpenter/builder and a furniture maker.
Episode 26
Zheng Qian confessed to Xiaoxiao that he likes her, he always had. She however brushed it off. She did not believe it as they had bee friends for so long but did not feel that he was on to her.
Finally, Ms Wu passed her driving test and got her licence.
Episode 27
Ms Wu is now free to drive her red car which she bought as soon as she left her husband and moved to Jiang Tian’s family house.
Xiaoxiao’s mother was being nosy once again and going through drawers in Xiao Xiao’s bedroom. She was shocked to find a pregnancy testing kit.
Right that moment, Xiaoxiao came to the bedroom. Her mother asked her if she was pregnant.
Despite denying it, her mother went ballistic and went to find Zheng Qian who she abused. Zheng Qian promised not to see Xiaoxiao again.
Xiaoxiao finally removed the wedding ring she had been wearing as a pendant to a necklace after Jiang Tian to get over her obsession as it was not healthy.
