Episode 1
Cheng Yao and Ting Ting were out with their boss to wine and dine a prospective client.
The client however was becoming way to frisky.
Meanwhile, at the next table just behind them, Yao Yao and Ting Ting can here a couple who seemed to be negotiating a price for some loving.
The man though walked out as they can’t seem to agree.
Yao Yao and Ting Ting had had enough of the rowdy client. Yao Yao screamed at the client that she was a lawyer and does not provide any other services. So she and Ting Ting quit there and then.
Yao Yao found another job at Junheng which was a culmination of her dream.
She had also found a new apartment which she found was also let to another person. The other renter was the man from the restaurant who she thought was a gigolo.
They called the landlord who explained that he was divorcing his wife who seemed to have rented out the apartment as well. The landlord offered to refund the rent to one of them but they both declined so temporarily Yao Yao was sharing the apartment with Qian Heng.
Yao Yao thinking that he was a gigolo made sure that she would disinfect everything the Qian Heng touched.
Yao Yao went to work and found out that she will be the 14th assistant to Lawyer Qian who can’t seem to keep any of them. It turned out the gigolo she thought she was temporary sharing her apartment was her boss.
Lawyer Qian had reputation of being austere and not suffers fool gladly, ergo, his firm have many awards but not the Golden Scale Award because of his lack of people skills.
Yao Yao was curious about Lawyer Qian so she went into his bedroom but accidentally broke an art piece in his sideboard.
Apparently it was a customised piece and cost a bomb so he expelled her from the apartment.
Episode 2
Yao Yao could not really afford to stay in a hotel so she had the brilliant idea, she thought, of staying at the storeroom of Junheng at least for a few days. She was quite happy and slept soundly at the storeroom.
Meanwhile, Lawyer Qian was having another attack of insomnia, he went to Junheng and almost caught Yao Yao who was woken by a nightmare and wandered down into the main office. Luckily she was able to hide.
Anyway, Lawyer Qian was consulting a psychologist for his insomnia. He was told that he was so obsessive with his work he had so much in his mind which preventing him to sleep,
Wu Jun, Lawyer Qian’s partner, told him to chill so they could win the Golden Scale award.
Lawyer Qian was beginning to suspect that there was something fishy with Yao Yao as he had another of his insomnia so he was in the office again.
Yao Yao thinking that it was morning and time for work dressed up and immediately saw Lawyer Qian who asked what she was doing in the office at 5:30 in the morning.
Yao Yao said that she had so much work, she came in early. Lawyer Qian noticed that she seemed to have come out of the storeroom.
He really got so curious that the next night he was at the office again, he went to the storeroom and found her asleep.
She told him that it was only temporary and will move out soon.
Episode 3
The young lawyers went out drinking. Qian Heng turned up and taught them a lesson on how to be boring.
Episode 4
Qian Heng was so desperate to get some sleep and realised that the presence of Cheng Yao might be the answer to his insomnia so he asked her to move back to the apartment.
Episode 5
Wu Jun was so upset from being treated like a gigolo by Cheng Xi when he found poney by the bedside table when he woke up in a hotel room after a night of passion with her.
Qian Heng realised that it was Cheng Yao’s singing while cooking that makes him go to sleep.
Episode 6
Yao Yao was really making an effort to make eating with Qian Heng an home a fine dining. Qian Heng asked her was she bothers. She just said it was worth it.
She then asked him if they could discuss Bai Xing Meng case as she wanted to do a good job with her first case at Junheng.
Qian Heng told her not to get personally involve with her clients because she does not really know the ins and outs of their lives.
Yao Yao was crashed with what Qian Heng said so she left him to eat alone.
Yao Yao invited her sister, Cheng Xi, to go to thge amusement park but Qian Heng told her that he needed her to meet a client.
Wu Jun who likes Cheng Xi so much turned up to accompany her.
Qian Heng took Yao Yao to a lawyers blind date event. Yao Yao could not help smirking how incongruous Qian Heng was being so outspokenly unbearable to the women.
Wu Jun who found out about his attitude castigated Qian Heng for being arrogant. The event was apparently a step towards the Golden Scale Awards.
Later that evening, Dong MIn came knocking at the apartment. Qian Heng forbid Yao Yao to answer the door but Yao Yao was much too curious.
Dong Min was surprised to find Yao Yao. But then she got a text from Qian Heng telling Dong Min not to disturb his girlfrieen Cheng Yao.
Dong Min is actually quite adorable. She said that she was declaring war against Yao Yao because Qian Heng was hers until he gets married.
Yao Yao agreed with her.
When Dong MIn left, Qian Heng explained that Dong MIn is the daughter of their important client so he could not really be mean to Dong Min.
